Students enrolled in the Threes and Pre-K programs at Traders Point Christian Schools will need to be toilet-trained before the start of school in August This falls in line with Indiana's Early Learning Foundations (p 50) and is the best practice in allowing intentional student supervision and facilitation of the educational content of our program Please refer to EC Toilet Training Policy for more information about how we can partner with you in achieving this milestone

All EC students are required to bring a labeled lunch box each day The EC will provide refrigeration for lunch boxes, however we are unable to microwave student lunches

● All students will need a water bottle labeled with their name sent in daily.

● PBL/2’s parents will provide a morning snack for their child each day Classroom teachers will give guidance on how to label and where to place it in the room

● The school provides snacks for 3’s/Pre-K students and those staying for extended day (1:30-3:30 pm).

At the EC our daily interactions with staff and families are filtered through the lens of a biblical worldview, meaning we strive to make the Bible the foundation of everything we say and do This is done both intentionally (Chapel, Bible curriculum) and organically (classroom discussion, teaching moments).

Chapel: Each child attends chapel once a week, either Wednesday or Thursday, from 8:45-9:15 am Chapel consists of prayer, worship, a short message that follows The Gospel Project curriculum, and a memory verse. Parents/guardians are welcome to attend. Once chapel begins, late students and/or visitors will be asked to wait at the EC main doors and will be assisted once chapel is over

Holidays and Seasonal Celebrations: In all our special celebrations we want to make Jesus the focus by highlighting our Heavenly Father’s provision, the beauty of His creation, emphasizing the birth of Jesus, Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection and so much more!

● Redirection is the standard procedure to discourage inappropriate behavior

● The next step may be removal from the environment and/or time in a calming area until the student is ready to rejoin the class

● Visiting the principal may be necessary to reinforce the expected behavior (we will communicate with parents at this step)

● Any behavior that is considered to be a risk to anyone will be immediately referred to the appropriate administrator

Every action is followed by discussion and prayer about God’s mercy and expectations.
