netted birdcage-style that was perched upon your grandmother’s head differed

from the shoulder-length, oversized veil your mother wore in the 80s. These both contrast with the flat laying Cathedral-length veil adorned by many of our celebrity and royal brides recently. It is easy for a bride-to-be to get overwhelmed by the monotonous sea of lace and frills that can be found in bridal store after bridal store, but here to save you from drowning we uncovered some options that will free you from overdone headwear of weddings’ past.

GLISTEN WITH TRADITION If you are torn between loving the veil and it’s timehonored glory, but crave something different don’t worry, you can have it all. Find yourself a long-length standard style veil but fashion it to reflect your own individual spirit! Jewels and flowers can be added to create a personal statement. Light colors, such as yellow and periwinkle, can be added to the center of the flowers of this style to create a subtle yet whimsical effect. Finding a veil with circling and patterned threadwork can also be a pretty departure from the typical veil. You can even create your own style or have one made to meet your desire.
