SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS – BATTERY WARNING:
• DO NOT mix old and new batteries. • DO NOT mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (NI-CD, NI-MH, etc) batteries.

Cleaning and maintenance CAUTION: Always be sure that the Pop-Up Lantern is turned off before cleaning or storing the item. 1. Use a damp cloth to wipe the exterior of the Pop-Up Lantern if necessary. 2. DO NOT immerse the Pop-Up Lantern in water or any other liquid. 3. Store the Pop-Up Lantern in a dry location.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION If the Pop-Up Lantern should no longer work at all, please make sure that it is disposed of in an environmentally friendly way.
User instructions 1. To open battery compartment, unscrew the cap in a counter-clockwise direction.
4. Lift handles; make sure they are not touching the base of the light.
8. To use the magnetic base, adhere to metal surface.
5. To turn on the lantern, grab the top of the lantern and pull gently to slide the light out until it stops. DO NOT pull from handles.
2. Open battery door and insert 3 AA batteries (included) into the battery compartment according to polarity shown.
6. To turn off the lantern, push down on the top until the lantern fully closes.
3. To close the battery compartment, close battery door then screw the cap on in a clockwise direction.
7. To hang the lantern, pull out the hook from the bottom of the battery compartment.
