Third Annual Bracket Challenge for NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament It is that time of year again. People all across the country are donning their team colors as they move court-side.

Whether it be by hard statistics or by gut feeling, it is time to make your predictions!

The Delta Sigma Phi Foundation is proud to host the 2016 March Madness tournament for all brothers and friends of Delta Sig! A friendly competition with fantastic prizes, the contest will kick off alongside Selection Sunday on March 13. Register on our website and build your bracket to get started. This year, the challenge is hosted on ESPN.com.

Foundation Advancement Team Sees Several New Faces Added The final months of 2015 saw several changes brought to the Advancement team at the Delta Sigma Phi Foundation. Three new staff members joined, bringing with new ideas and years of experience to round out the team. The addition of new members was complemented by old members being moved into new leadership roles.

Jenn Sula recently joined the team as Assistant Director of Annual Giving for the Delta Sigma Phi Foundation, filling Alaina Cutler’s position. Jenn will be responsible for developing an integrated matrix of communications and solicitations focused on shaping a sustainable tradition of annual support and donor retention.

Her professional experiences consist of serving as a Leadership Consultant for Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority, and working as the Development Coordinator for the Alpha Sigma Alpha Foundation.

Micah Christensen is filling the role of Communications Coordinator. His primary tasks involve writing and editing for our major publications, as well as managing our social media channels. His professional experiences consist of working as a Communications Coordinator for BraunAbility, and more recently as a freelance writer for marketing agencies around Indianapolis.

Adam Lowe joined the staff in December as Director of Communications. He will be overseeing all communication initiatives for the fraternity and foundation alike. From 2006 through 2015, Adam served as a leader in communications, branding and design functions at Choices Coordinated Care Solutions, a nationally recognized, Indianapolis-based nonprofit serving youth experiencing mental, emotional and behavioral challenges.

Abby Peck has moved into a new role as the Manager of Advancement Operations.

She will be in charge of our annual stewardship program, gift and pledge entry and acknowledgements, all Delta Sigma Phi scholarships, the March Madness campaign, and database management. She prides herself on creating ways to thank our wonderful donors in new and exciting ways and helping to keep all Foundation processes running smoothly.

A Beneficial Giving Opportunity On December 18, 2015, Congress passed the PATH Act, a permanent law that makes it possible to give individual retirement account (IRA) assets to nonprofit organizations, free from federal tax, annually.

The Bruce J. Loewenberg Summit (Jan. 15 -17) had over 200 undergrad members in attendance at Camp Tecumseh in Brookston, IN. Over the wintry weekend, students were engaged with the latest techniques in recruiting quality members to their chapters, and the creation of a values-based new
