1899 Society - 2nd Consecutive Year of Record Membership

For the second year in a row, the 1899 Society has broken the record for membership totals! The Foundation’s 1899 Society recognizes donors who contribute at least $1,000 or more during a fiscal year.

Last fiscal year, the Foundation had 273 donors – the most in our organization’s history.

Membership in the 1899 Society is not exclusive to our alumni brothers.

Undergraduates can become a member with a $10 per month donation.

The support of the 1899 Society provides the Foundation with a

dependable projection of future cash flow, so investment in leadership and educational programs can be more strategically planned. Our Foundation has a need to increase this base of donors to 1,000 members by the year 2025 and we need your help today!

AA Class Graduates Leadership Institute

LAMP Platform Continues to Expand Funded by donors, the LAMP, the Fraternity’s first online member education and resource center, is continuing to grow with more exciting content for everyone! Delta Sigma Phi is implementing training for all of our undergraduate executive officers, chairs and all undergraduate members, with additional courses for the training and development of our volunteer advisors and alumni.

The 25th Leadership Institute has come to a close. The graduating Alpha Alpha class is taking shape to make a real impact as the Better Men of Delta Sigma Phi. 53 men from 50 different chapters made their way to Camp Tecumseh in Brookston, IN, and learned how to lead with courage - a core component of Delta Sigma Phi’s mission.

With 50 chapters represented at LI, this was the most expansive year of the program. The wide array of chapter representation gives each person in attendance more experiences and brothers to learn from.

Attendees quickly learn that to succeed at the tasks presented at LI, they must unite in true brotherhood with their fellow men.

The Leadership Institute (LI) is Delta Sigma Phi’s flagship educational program. This five-day institute offers an immersive experience that instills values-based leadership through curriculum centered on Kouzes and Posner’s, “The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership.” This year’s program took place July 21-25. We had 60+ alumni who volunteered to help with the application review process. The generosity of our donors, in time and treasure, is necessary to make it possible to expand LI in the future.

“Leadership Institute helped me become a Better Man in all aspects of life,” said Andrew Ickes, Ohio Northern University ’16. “I am more confident not only in my ability to lead but in life in general. Being a part of an exclusive successful group made me realize my self-worth more as an individual. The critical thinking activities let me sit down and think about myself and my values. I learned a lot about myself as an individual and that is one of the biggest takeaways I have of LI. Learning about yourself and how to improve is one of the key steps in becoming a Better Man. Overall, Leadership Institute was an amazingly positive experience that changed my life forever. I wish more brothers could experience such an amazing program.”

4th Annual Day of Giving on the Horizon The 4th Day of Giving is nearing! Mark your calendars for Wednesday, Dec. 6th, for a 24-hour fundraising spree to benefit the Foundation and our young men. This day supports the educational and training initiatives Delta Sigma Phi offers our students. Every gift matters! Day of Giving is an opportunity to bring our membership together and remind brothers about the life-changing experiences that happen each day within our great fraternity. We hope you will help and participate on December 6th. Collectively, our brotherhood can pave the way to a better future for all of our men.
