President’s Message What's stinging jellies! September is finally here! I hope you all have had a great first few weeks back at school, getting to know your new classes and peers. As we continue adjusting to the new school year, brace yourselves for many exciting things to come your way because this month marks the beginning of Club Rush Season! Be sure to spread the word to new potential jellies and look out for our Key Club booth on September 14th to sign up! If this is your first time reading the newsletter, welcome! Here we share visuals of what our club does over the course of each month. If you would like to be featured in the newsletter, don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and come to our service events and socials! On behalf of the board, we are incredibly honored to be serving you this term. We hope you see in the next few months that Key Club is special. In this club, we have many exciting events such as Fall Rally South, which is held at Six Flags, and District Convention, which is held in Ontario, California this year! But not only do we have rallies and conventions, Key Club also gives you amazing opportunities to build your leadership skills, meet and make life long friends, and most importantly, make a difference in our community.  I can't wait to see all of you at Club Rush and at our first meeting on September 20th in C211. If you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me!

Our Club officers were hard at work during this summer prepping to recruit all new members this term and beyond! We made signs which you’ll see hung up around school, some props for club rush, and brainstormed ideas to make this term the best yet!

A service event to feel the fresh air, relax, learn how to braid, and have fun with fellow key clubbers! This event was a way to end summer vacation and what’s better than a service event? We made toys for all types of dogs and had a lot of fun doing so. We were even joined by the cutest dog! Until the next dog toy making!

Having been my second year in Key Club, the Region 2 Picnic has been pretty fun. That may sound a bit vague at first, but in all honesty, that’s how I’d sum up the whole event in a sentence. Everyone who came was willing to share their club’s food choice in which they decided to “sell” to other divisions. Though the tickets were a dollar each, it was definitely worth it for the lumpia and milk tea. The bright side of it was that we all got food and key club shirts for cheaper than usual while participating for a good cause: PTP! It was fun to socialize with other people of the same and different divisions of our region! Everyone got along through the pie throwing, dance challenges, cup knocking, and so many other fun activities. The dance challenges just had to be a because of the various people who stepped in to show off some moves. I have to admit, they got moves! It brought a lot of us together as a region, and to be fair, I really don’t regret joining key club for events like this. Not only did I get to see some of my friends, but I did get to meet more new faces! Before I wrap it up, I enjoy being in Key Club not only for the service events, but for the people in it. The club and region itself is a huge family that I love and am very passionate about; I’d never want to part ways from them ever.

Our former tech editor made his mark on our division with a shirt design that awed us all. Wishing you all of luck in Japan!
