HEA LTHC A RE P R O F E S SI O N A L De La Salle Collegiate takes the health and safety of all of our staff and students very seriously and are
planning to provide a healthare professional to be onsite to assist in those times when there is a need for additional consultation.
In response to the challenges that COVID-19 brings to a school community, we will employ licensed personnel to help with
the expertise that can only come from the certification and experience that healthcare professionals have earned. This professional will be trained in basic cardiac life support, with the ability to do basic assessments (HR, blood pressure, pulse oximetry). They will also have medical back up with telemedicine from Ascension.
We will be creating an onsite isolation area to properly care for the students who might become sick throughout the day. The healthcare professional will be knowledgeable in the rules and regulations of HIPAA and FERPA.
