TURKEY BUSTER WORKOUT!

Thanksgiving Day | Thursday, November 23 | 8-10 am

Join us for 2 hours of FUN, ENERGY and CAMARADERIE!

4 Workouts | 25 minute each | 5 minute “pass period” to rotate studios

Advanced Registration Required. Limited to 80 participants!

Participants will rotate through the following workouts:

• HIIT in the Group Exercise Studio

• Group Cycle in the Cycle Studio

• Bootcamp in the Personal Training Studio

• Core in the Mind Body Studio

Program Date: Thanksgiving Morning, November 23, 8–10 am

Registration Opens/Deadline: November 1 / November 20

Registration Fee: 2 cans of food

With many local food banks EMPTY during the holiday season and families going hungry, this year’s goal is to collect a minimum of 160 canned food items!

Ages 12 & up welcome. 12–15-year-olds must be accompanied by an adult.

No scheduled classes will run at SRC, only this event.

Chris Moilanen

Facility Operations and Membership Supervisor

Chris joined the Deerfield Park District in May 2009 and has been part of our team for 14 years. As the Facility Operations and Membership Supervisor at Sachs Recreation Center, Chris oversees daily facility operations, the supervision and coverage of the front desk, facility rentals and reservations, and membership administration. In addition to his role, Chris is also responsible for managing the yearround Reuse-A-Shoe program and organizing the annual Reuse-A-Rama event held in June.

Chris is a devoted sports fan, following the Chicago teams closely. He is a music enthusiast, loves reading, video games, cooking, and is passionate about animals.

Reflecting on his career, Chris says, “I started at the SRC as a fitness floor attendant and worked my way up to where I am now. Being part of the Deerfield Park District allows me to contribute to the enrichment of the Deerfield community. I never anticipated being in the parks and recreation field, but I’m grateful that I am.”

Park Permits

Reserve one of our beautiful parks and enjoy full access to playgrounds, shelters and other amenities.

• Rates apply to individuals, non-profits and corporate groups.

• One permit is valid for a four-hour reservation. *Permits reserve the pavilion only.

• Alcoholic beverages are not permitted.

• Items such as bounce houses and DJs are not permitted without a special permit and additional fees and insurance.

• For 2024, permits will be available March 1 for residents and April 1 for non-residents.

• Last date for Park Permits is October 31.

Our parks can accommodate small to medium groups. Rates apply to individuals, non-profits and corporate groups.
