Cookie Decorating for Adults

Learn to decorate sugar cookies with royal icing so you are a pro in time for the holidays! This six-week progressive course will teach you the fundamentals of royal icing, as well as beginner and intermediate cookie decorating techniques. Class will culminate in a final cookie set that you design and create yourself! We will cover how to mix royal icing, create different icing consistencies and color and bag your icing. Basic decorating techniques will include how to outline and flood, flood in sections, and do wet-on-wet techniques. More intermediate decorating techniques will include creating layered designs with flood and detail icing, using a projector to write and create designs on cookies, making royal icing transfers, creating simple florals and basic stenciling techniques with icing. You will also learn the basics of cookie set design and tap into your creativity to come up with your own unique set of cookies for your final project. All cookies, icing, and tools will be provided.
