What is the “Propeller Campaig
Just as the propeller on a plane moves it forward, once this campaign gets us moving fast enough, it will enable Deaf Child Hope to soar to new heights and a new level of impact! We are praying the DCH Propeller Campaign will “propel” us forward so we can uplift even MORE deaf children in poverty who desperately need our help.
Millions of impoverished Deaf children still live each day with little to no hope, and we know how sign language and other resources drastically change their lives. We need to act now!
THE PROBLEM:
The majority of the 25 million deaf children living in poverty do not have access to learn sign language at all! No means of communication, no education, and no way to learn about Jesus’ love for them.
THE URGENCY:
A child dies from hunger every 10 SECONDS.
Hunger is responsible for the death of 3.1 million children a year. That’s nearly half of all deaths in children under the age of 5. The children die because their bodies lack basic nutrients.
Knowing that children in the world are starving is horrible, but no child should be without food and also living in isolation, with no language…this has to be the most awful thing a child could experience, but this is happening every day. We are moved to do something about it.
Poverty + Deafness = Desperation + Isolation
Deaf children are neglected, abandoned, and isolated at a higher rate than other children because of language deprivation.

SOLUTIONS, IMPACT, and VISION:
• Child Sponsorship is an e ective solution that provides monumental positive change in the lives of deaf children in desperate situations aroud the world.
- Sponsorship provides the opportunity to learn language, communicate, build relationships, receive an education, and feel cared for by someone in the world.
- We have Deaf children & teachers currently sponsored in 11 countries
- Deaf child sponsors live in 40 U.S. states and four countries.
• Hundreds of Deaf children have been impacted so far through our e orts
• We have sent over $1.3 million to provide hope to Deaf children in poverty
• We provide medical care funding for Deaf children with medical needs.
• We fully operate an orphanage in Kenya with 28 Deaf children living on site.
• Deaf children are taught about God’s love and salvation through Jesus.
• Deaf children learn that they have value and are not “throw-away” as their culture suggests.
