Deaf Child Hope was founded in 2010, and now, as we step into 2025 we’re celebrating 15 incredible years on this faith-driven journey of bringing hope to Deaf children living in poverty. Every January, I take a moment to reflect on the past year, and I’m always in awe of how God continues to guide us. 2024 was no exception—it was a year of growth and milestones. We reached the milestone of over 300 Deaf children sponsored—each one a precious life touched by hope! We welcomed new team members to the DCH sta , expanded our number of partnerships with Deaf schools, and we launched the Propeller Campaign to help us accelerate our impact and extend hope to even more Deaf children in need. This last year has been a lot of work by an amazing and dedicated DCH team exemplifying an unwavering faith in God’s plan, all while leaning into the power of prayer.
As I look ahead to 2025, my humanness occasionally sneaks in, and I find myself wondering, “Can this new year live up to the progress of last year?” But, then I’m reminded—God has been faithful every step of the way. For 15 years, we’ve experienced growth each and every year, reaching more and more Deaf children. Why would this year be any di erent? This journey wouldn’t be possible without God, prayer, faith, and you—our incredible supporters and Deaf child sponsors. Thank you for walking alongside us in 2024, and as we step into this next year, we humbly ask for your continued prayers, support, and partnership in 2025, and beyond. Together, we are making an eternal impact.
Just as the propeller on a plane moves the plane forward so it can soar, this campaign will enable Deaf Child Hope to soar to new heights and achieve new levels of impact! We pray that the DCH Propeller Campaign will “propel” us forward, empowering us to uplift even more Deaf children living in poverty who desperately need our help. Millions of impoverished Deaf children still live each day with little to no hope, but we know how sign language, vital resources, and the Gospel message can radically transform their lives. We need to act now! This campaign will provide the critical funds needed to increase our e orts. The Propeller funds will enable us to grow our team, seek out more Deaf children in poverty, and find sponsors for those children who need hope. This process requires significant work and financial resources, which is why this campaign is so essential. We feel called to provide hope to more Deaf children in poverty. With this growth phase, we are positioning ourselves to reach thousands of Deaf children in poverty over the next few years.

Deaf Child Hope continues to operate Lance’s Deaf Orphans in Kenya. We have now seen many Deaf children grow up and move on from LDO with language, education, a clear understanding that Jesus loves them and gave His life for them. It’s impossible to keep track of all of them and where they are now, but we know that the teachers and sta at LDO equipped them for a bright future as an adult. Mahalon, standing on the left, came to LDO with no language! Deaf Child Hope’s new Field Director, Grace McCoy, in the middle on the right, taught Mahalon the sign for water! His eyes lit up. Having a language is the essential first step to a bright future and to learning about God’s plan for their lives. Grace is standing between Winston, our LDO Director, and Mary, the LDO Head Teacher. Please pray for Mary, as she is battling cancer at this time. Mary has been serving at LDO since the inception of the orphanage.
The Lance’s Deaf Orphans Christmas Celebration has become a tradition. We wish we could show you all the photos from these celebrations as the Deaf children look so joyful. The children always have their best meal of the year, and this year they received presents, which they are holding up for the photographer. Thanks so much to all the LDO supporters!
A Deaf Child Hope mission trip is an adventure in serving Deaf children in poverty. The purpose of our trips are for those traveling to do life alongside deaf children in poverty. The children are blessed and encouraged by this, and the experience can be eyeopening and maybe life-changing for those going on the trip. We had two great trips in 2024 which visited the countries of Jamaica, Kenya and Uganda. The teams visited five partner locations on these two trips! Below are photos of the teams.
