Multifamily Lending & Neighborhood Investments
In FY 2020, DCHFA issued $310 million in bond financing for the development or redevelopment of 1,557 affordable housing units in Wards 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. In addition to the tax exempt financing, DCHFA underwrote $184 million in Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) equity to finance these projects.
