Para mí, que he visitado China numerosas veces, los paisajes que se ven desde los lomos del dragón o las murallas de China, son indescriptibles, maravillosos y perturbadores...

Como apasionado por las artes marciales chinas, mis viajes al Imperio del Dragon (China), además del aspecto turístico, siempre han sido influenciados por los Maestros de Kungfu y sus artes marciales. Es por ello, que además de disfrutar de paisajes, templos y lugares emblemáticos, he sentido siempre la necesidad de investigar, de informarme sobre sus características, sus leyendas, sus héroes, sus Maestros, sus estilos de Kungfu...

Y al mismo tiempo, sus templos, ciudades, paisajes, montañas sagradas, etc.

A pesar de haber estado en 北京 Běijīng, 上海 Shànghăi, etc., el principal lugar al que siempre retorno es la provincia de 山东 Shāndōng, una zona norteña de China, llena de leyendas, historias, lugares emblemáticos, sagrados, apasionantes…

Durante todas mis visitas a esa provincia desde 1993, en que fui a las ciudades de Jĭnán y Yāntái para competir en sendos Torneos Internacionales de Artes Marciales Chinas, he sentido la necesidad de profundizar, de investigar, no solo el Kungfu de la provincia y sus Maestros, sino también de los lugares donde estas artes marciales se desarrollaron. Y así he visitado; 济南 Jĭnán, 曲阜 Qūfù, 烟台 Yāntái, 青岛 Qīngdăo, 龙口 Lóngkŏu, y las sagradas montañas de 泰山 Tàishān, 梁山 Liángshān y 崂 山 Láoshān, lugares donde he sido muy feliz, donde me ha sorprendido agradablemente el carácter y amabilidad de sus gentes, sus maravillosos paisajes, sus lugares sagrados...

Es por eso que en mis libros, he querido centrarme en lo que más conozco personalmente, que no es otro lugar que la impresionante provincia de Shāndōng. Allí también viven mi Maestro, mi familia, mis amigos...

Y con ellos una parte de mi vida, todos mis deseos, mis pensamientos,

están allí.

Por ello he creado esta “Colección Puerta del Dragón” donde ire incluyendo nuevos libros sobre diferentes temas de la milenaria Cultura de China y sus más variados aspectos; historias, leyendas, novelas, artes marciales, terapias, cocina, viajes, etc. Espero que aprendáis algo y sobre todo que disfrutéis con la lectura, y donde os lleve vuestra imaginación.

During all my visits to that province since 1993, when I went to the cities of Jĭnán and Yāntái to compete in two International Chinese Martial Arts Tournaments, I have felt the need to deepen, to investigate, not only the Kungfu of the province and its Masters, but also from the places where these martial arts were developed. And so I have visited; 济南 Jĭnán, 曲阜 Qūfù, 烟台 Yāntái, 青岛 Qīngdăo, 龙口 Lóngkŏu, and the sacred mountains of 泰山 Tàishān, 梁山 Liángshān and 崂山 Láoshān, places where I have been pleasantly surprised by their kindness and their kindness. wonderful landscapes, its sacred places...

That is why in my books, I have wanted to focus on what I personally know the most, which is none other than the stunning province of Shāndōng. My Master, my family, my friends also live there...

Actually, it’s just me, David, who researches, writes, photographs, layouts, designs, retouches and covers all sections of Golden Dragon editions. We have the special collaboration of the Chinese Government in Shandong, the Chinese consulate in Barcelona, and numerous Chinese associations, as well as many other martial arts associations around the world.

I was born into a humble family, in Martín del Río, a small town in the province of Teruel, Spain. From a very young age my vivid imagination forced me to carry out constant adventures, taking an interest in risk and adventure sports. The continuous changes of address of my parents and the little money they had did not allow me to fully realize my dreams. Before I was fourteen years old, I moved to Catalonia with my whole family, in the town of Mollet del Valles I had to finish my studies while I was working, this allowed me to get to know another culture and other sports, more financially comfortable I became interested in oriental arts, after having seen a film by the mythical Bruce Lee.

From 1971 to 1974 I studied Judo and Karate in Mollet, participated in various street fights with my friends, having some small problems with street gangs and the police. I changed jobs several times and practiced constantly without reaching my goals.

In 1974 I went to Barcelona to work as a waiter in the restaurant “La Oca”, there I met a waiter who practiced Taekwondo, with him I exchanged knowledge and thinking that Taekwondo was more elastic and effective, I signed up for Master Cho Myoung’s classes. Wong, at the Cho­San gym in Barcelona, where I studied until 1976.

That same year I went to Tossa de Mar to work as a waiter in the summer season, there I met people from other countries and cultures, with whom I related and practiced various martial arts, then I traveled in a kind of search for knowledge and pilgrimage ; France, Germany, Austria, Italy, etc.

In 1978 I joined the Special Forces (Paratrooper Brigade) as a volunteer, where I met Víctor Gan, a student of Masters Wong Ping­Pui, Germán Monzó and Pedro Izquierdo. With him I was introduced to Chinese culture, his philosophy and the southern style of Kungfu called Hung Gar Kuen. During the almost two years he was at BRIPAC, I practiced daily with Víctor a mixture of Hung Gar and Chang Quan, another style of Chinese martial arts that Víctor also studied with Germán Monzó.

In 1980, after my contract with the army ended, I settled in Barcelona, where Víctor introduced me to the Masters Germán Monzó and Pedro Izquierdo. With them I studied the styles of martial arts: Shaolin Chang Quan, Hung Gar, handling weapons, Qinna Shu and Mao Zhua Quan, or cat boxing, etc. Since I started studying martial arts, I have made numerous trips throughout Spain

and the rest of the world, in search of knowledge, receiving the teachings of:

Currently I, David Conches with the Chinese name Liu David, am a disciple (Tudi) of Master Liu Wenyue, although I have also studied with other great Masters.

Known internationally as a teacher of traditional Chinese martial arts and as a writer and disseminator of them, I have been introduced to these topics for more than fifty years and more than forty­five years in the study and dissemination of traditional Kungfu or Wushu.

Researcher and writer of oriental themes, I have transmitted to the pages of magazines such as; Budoka, Black Belt, Dojo and Shaolin Quan from Spain, Bushido from Portugal, Mundo Marcial and Santi, from Argentina, Muntains Spring Brezze from U.S.A. and Wulin from China, I have published more than thirty books and helped in other national and international publications, disseminating

my concerns, experiences, studies and projects on Chinese boxing, I also founded and directed the Golden Dragon magazine, a magazine dedicated entirely to to the culture and martial arts of the Chinese people, whose purpose was to make the best Masters and styles known, as well as to deepen, preserve from oblivion and spread the genuine and true martial arts of the Dragon Empire. He also creates Xi Zhong Youhao and China News magazines.

My books and articles have been read in China and other places, by Venerable Masters of various styles, and recognized as genuine, truthful, and of great quality, likewise they are read in all Spanish­speaking countries. The great Masters with whom I collaborate and learn are internationally known, and the themes that I extract from them and transmit to the pages of my books and articles are an authentic cultural legacy of the Chinese people, their customs and traditions.

Despite the fact that my School has had several names, since there are several Masters with whom I have studied and several styles that I still learn and teach today, there is something that never changes, my own, which in these times is a sign of truthfulness and trust. Unquestionable promulgator of northern Chinese martial arts, I have created the Liu Wu Guan or Liu School of Chinese martial arts, in homage to my Master.

Counting with the recognition of the Shandong Wushu Association Spain Branch, Shaolin Chang Chuan Kungfu Association Spain Branch, the Spanish Federation of Kungfu, Wushu, Taiji and Qigong, the Yang’s Martial Arts Association of the U.S.A., the Shandong Wushu Association of China, the Qingdao Wushu Association of China, Liangshan Wushu Association of China, Italy Kungfu Association, World Kungfu Association of Italy, Shaolin Quan Society of Venezuela, Qingdao Taiji Tanglang Quan of China, Traditional Wushu Association of USA, European Praying Mantis Boxing , the National Federation of Chinese Martial Arts, and several other national and international associations of different martial arts.

Now retired, I impart my knowledge in Sant Boi de Llobregat, in Barcelona, and I also continue writing books on Chinese Culture and Martial Arts. SOBRE NOSOTROS.

En realidad, tan solo soy yo, David, quien investiga, redacta, fotografía, maqueta, diseña, retoca y cubre todas las secciones de ediciones Golden Dragon. Contamos con la colaboración especial del Gobierno chino en Shandong, el consulado chino en Barcelona, y numerosas asociaciones chinas, así como otras muchas asociaciones de artes marciales por todo el mundo.

Yo nací en el seno de una familia humilde, en Martín del Río, un pequeño pueblo de la provincia de Teruel, España. Desde muy niño mi viva imaginación me obligó a realizar constantes aventuras, interesándome por los deportes de riesgo y aventura. Los continuos cambios de domicilio de mis padres y el escaso dinero de que disponían no me permitieron realizar completamente mis sueños. Sin haber cumplido los catorce años, me trasladé a Cataluña con toda mi familia, en la localidad de Mollet del Valles tuve que terminar mis estudios mientras trabajaba, esto me permitió conocer otra cultura y otros deportes, más desahogado en el aspecto monetario me interesé por las artes orientales, tras haber visto una película del mítico Bruce Lee.

De 1971 a 1974 estudie Judo y Karate en Mollet, participe en diversas peleas callejeras con mis amigos, teniendo algunos pequeños problemas con las bandas callejeras y la policía. Cambie varias veces de trabajo y practique constantemente sin alcanzar mis objetivos.

En 1974 marche a Barcelona para trabajar como camarero en el restaurante “La Oca”, allí conocí a un camarero que practicaba Taekwondo, con él intercambie conocimientos y pensando que el Taekwondo era más elástico y efectivo, me apunte a las clases del Maestro Cho Myoung Wong, en el gimnasio Cho­San de Barcelona, donde estudie hasta 1976.

Ese mismo año marche hacia Tossa de Mar para trabajar como camarero en la temporada de verano, allí conocí a gentes de otros países y culturas, con los que me relacione y practique varias artes marciales, luego recorrí en una especie de búsqueda de conocimiento y peregrinaje; Francia, Alemania, Austria, Italia, etc.

En 1978 ingresé en las Fuerzas Especiales (Brigada Paracaidista) como voluntario, donde conocí a Víctor Gan, alumno de los Maestros Wong Ping­Pui, Germán Monzó y Pedro Izquierdo. Con él me introduje en la cultura china, su filosofía y el estilo sureño de Kungfu llamado Hung Gar Kuen. Durante los casi dos años de permanencia en la BRIPAC, practique diariamente con Víctor una mezcla de Hung Gar y Chang Quan, otro estilo de artes marciales chinas que Víctor también estudio con Germán Monzó.

En 1980, finalizado mi contrato con el ejército, fijé mi residencia en Barcelona, donde Víctor me presentó a los Maestros Germán Monzó y Pedro Izquierdo. Con ellos estudie los estilos de artes marciales: Shaolin Chang Quan, Hung Gar, manejo de armas, Qinna Shu y Mao Zhua Quan, o boxeo del gato, etc.

Desde que me inicie en los estudios de las artes marciales he realizado numerosos viajes por España y resto del mundo, en busca de conocimientos, recibiendo las enseñanzas de:

marciales del Imperio del Dragón. También cree las revistas Xi Zhong Youhao y China News.

Mis libros y artículos han sido leídos en China y otros lugares, por Venerables Maestros de varios estilos, y reconocidos como genuinos, veraces y de una gran calidad, así mismo son leídos en todos los países de habla hispana. Los grandes Maestros con los que colaboro y aprendo son conocidos internacionalmente, y los temas que de ellos extraigo y transmito a las páginas de mis libros y artículos, son un auténtico legado cultural del pueblo chino, de sus costumbres y tradiciones.

A pesar de que mi Escuela ha tenido varios nombres, pues varios son los Maestros con los que he estudiado y varios los estilos que todavía hoy aprendo y enseño, hay algo que nunca cambia, el mío propio, el cual en los tiempos que corren es un signo de veracidad y confianza. Promulgador incuestionable de las artes marciales chinas norteñas, he creado la Liu Wu Guan o Escuela de artes marciales chinas Liu, en homenaje a mi Maestro.

Contando con el reconocimiento de la Shandong Wushu Association Spain Branch, Shaolin Chang Chuan Kungfu Association Spain Branch, la Federación Española de Kungfu, Wushu, Taiji y Qigong, la Yang’s Martial Arts Association de U.S.A., la Shandong Wushu Association de China, la Qingdao Wushu Association de China, la Liangshan Wushu Association de China, la Italy Kungfu Association, la World Kungfu Association de Italy, la Sociedad Shaolin Quan de Venezuela, la Qingdao Taiji Tanglang Quan de China, la Tradicional Wushu Asociación de USA, la European Praying Mantis Boxing, la Federación Nacional de Artes Marciales Chinas, y otras varias asociaciones nacionales e internacionales de diferentes artes marciales.

En la actualidad ya retirado, imparto mis conocimientos en Sant Boi de Llobregat, de Barcelona, y sigo además escribiendo libros sobre la Cultura y las Artes Marciales de China. Con todo esto quiero decir que la revista Golden Dragon no la hacía un editor cualquiera, sino alguien con los conocimientos culturales y marciales de China para poder elegir y escribir los artículos más auténticos y veraces, con el apoyo y ayuda de algunos de los mejores Maestros de las distintas disciplinas chinas de hoy día. Hoy la revista se ha cerrado, pero todo ello sigue en forma de libros que puedes adquirir en www.amazon.com

Así mismo, he fundado la Golden Dragon Association que me permite llevar la sección Golden Dragon Editions, organizar eventos, etc.
