Editorial We are going through a summer full of sports productions, where the companies involved are bringing the technology to levels never seen before. On the one hand, we refer to the World Cup, to which we dedicate a special report in this issue. We have interviewed different top technical managers of NEP, Mediapro and Red Bee Media to learn, from several sides, the challenges and details of this coverage. However, this was not the only sporting event of interest. London hosted another edition of Wimbledon, where a fully-IP production using SMPTE ST 2110 technology was deployed for the first time. It is not difficult to notice investment and technological innovation in both cases.
