AgventureDayOctober11th2024
Agventure day is many of our members favorite events that happen all year, with good reason. Agventure day is a field trip that all of the fourth grade classes in Cumberland valley get to come to. This is a way that our chapter gets to showcase all of the opportunities agriculture has to offer. The fourth graders get to visit the high school and see animals and participate in fun activities!

They cover topics from time management to dealing with mental health.

During the high school football season, at each home game, the Cumberland Valley FFA Chapter vends delicious Farm Show milkshakes. Students eagerly volunteer for the event, actively participating in the setup of the machines and stands, the sale of milkshakes during the game, and the dismantling of equipment at the night's end. This year, our milkshake sales were incredibly successful!

Hats off to our phenomenal teams for their exceptional performance at the Big E competition in Massachusetts! Our very own Milk Quality Team, comprised of Joleigh Nailor, Jordyn Nailor, Zachary Beam, and Sam Lehman, secured an impressive Second place, while Ashlynne Lenker showcased her skills in Dairy Cattle Handling, achieving 9th place in the individual category. Joleigh Nailor also deserves recognition for her remarkable 5th-place finish in the individual category for Milk Quality. The competition was brimming with excitement, and our teams truly stood out.

Our FFA Chapter had the opportunity to take part in the Land’O’Lakes Meal Packing event, which turned out to be an amazing experience for the students, exposing them to a different aspect of work. Upon arrival, the students were equipped with the necessary gear and provided with instructions. They then proceeded to pack bags with rice and vegetables, ensuring the correct weight before sealing and labeling the bags The ultimate target was to pack 10,000 meals, and I'm proud to say that the Cumberland Valley FFA Chapter successfully achieved this goal!
A big congratulations and thank you to all the CV members who contributed to making this event a success!

Teach Ag Day!
-September 21st, 2024

Toeveryonewho attendedand contributedtothe cleaningprocess, thankyouforyour support!Your dedicationandtime giventoourchapter istrulyvalued!

The Cumberland Valley FFA Chapter had the amazing privilege of reciving the Teach Ag Day lesson In a Box. Only 100 chapters across the country got to implement this lesson into their classes. The whole reason of Teach Ag is to celebrate our Ag advisors and to give students a different perspective about teaching agriculture education. The students got to make their own name tags and worked to make lesson plans that they would teach if they were an Ag teacher.
Fall clean upOctober 8th
During the Fall Clean Up Community Service Event, students enthusiastically pitched in to tidy up the landscape in the Ag Department for Agventure Day. They raked leaves, pulled weeds, and trimmed plants, resulting in a significant improvement to the area. The event saw an impressive turnout and the Ag department now looks better than ever.
