enough to see through the illusion of authority and get the job done.

HE ENTIRE NATION is on tenterhooks with its collective heart in its mouth, waiting with bated breath. And for several reasons. This article won’t go into those reasons, but it will dive into how to swallow the red pill of our heart. It will go into ways to jumpstart our inert complacency into proactive, regime-toppling, courageous action. And it will double-dog dare you into ninjaneering the matrix by first ninjaneering your worldview.

Undermine the Belief Systems of Control

Revolution begins with a raging fire and ends with a resurrected Phoenix. But first things first – fire. Metaphorical and psychological fire is needed to burn down the outdated idea that we need a system of control to keep us in line. This fire is sparked by courageous and moral individuals. It begins with a defiant “no!” in the face of authority. When faced with corrupt power, a courageous and moral person undermines such power. They do not remain silent amid tyranny, racism, misogyny, ecocide, and greed. They speak up. They lead people toward freedom. They spark an idea that lights a fire under all entrenched power constructs grown corrupt and uncouth with the passage of time. The question you must ask yourself is this: Am I one of these courageous and moral people? If the answer is yes, then get to work leading others toward freedom. If the answer is no, then get to work learning how to become free. You begin by leading yourself, and realizing that you do not, nor have you ever, needed permission to be free. You begin by realizing that you never needed a ruler or master to tell you what to do, and you have never needed petty laws made by fallible men to guide you toward morality. And you especially don’t need outdated laws based on parochial values to “keep you in line.” As Plato wisely stated, “Good people don’t need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws.” Indeed. All you need is the golden rule, the non-aggression principle, and the courage to take responsibility for your own power. Once you’ve learned how to lead yourself, then the real fun begins: learning how to teach others to lead themselves, and helping others become free. This undermines the system of control all by itself, because when people become authentically free they become free to question things. Freedom begets courage, which begets further freedom. Suddenly the individual is questioning everything they’ve been taught: reconditioning their cultural conditioning, un-washing the brainwash, reverse engineering unhealthy programming enforced by years of propaganda. A ninjaneer emerges who is both courageous and moral

Change is never easy, and regime change is almost impossible. But it is possible. We just need a common idea to rally around in mutual solidarity. We need to plant the seed of a unifying idea. The three pillars of a unifying idea are: common interest, clear vision, and a plan of non-violent action. The keys are freedom, voluntary consent, and non-violence. Note: non-violence does not imply pacifism. Self-defense is necessary when faced with the violence of others. Like Gandhi said, “Where there is only a choice between cowardice and violence, I would advise violence.” But I digress. Our common interests are simple: 1.) We all want to leave a better world for our kids/grandkids (the seventh-generation principle). 2.) We all want to be treated well by others (the golden rule). 3.) Nobody wishes violence acted upon themselves (the non-aggression principle). 4.) Nobody wants to be a slave. 3 and 4 can be lumped under 2, but they are worth mentioning. Our clear vision should be based upon our common interests. If we want to leave the world a better place for our grandchildren, then we must begin the difficult task of living healthier lifestyles, now. That means drastically cutting pollution. If we want to be treated well by others, then we must stop being apathetic toward others. This means learning empathy and compassion. If we don’t wish violence upon ourselves, then we should not condone violence against others. This means getting rid of all systems based on violence and control. If we don’t want to be slaves, then we should neither seek to be ruled nor seek to rule others. This means no masters and no rulers, and fighting against any system that seeks to rule over others. The tricky part is the conditioning. We’ve all been conditioned to believe that we need rules and regulations to keep us in line. We’ve all been conditioned to believe that we need an authority telling us what to do. It’s all psychological. Once we’re able to overcome the outdated notion that we need someone to rule over us, we can begin the difficult task of taking responsibility for our own power. With enough of us learning how to master ourselves, we can then begin the difficult task of dismantling the chain of obedience.

Erode the Legitimacy of the Chain of Obedience Now that you’ve ninjaneered yourself and

NERGY, THE ABILITY to do work, is the most important dynamic, organic, and vital part of the human drama. For the past 10,000 years, we have simply grabbed some wood, oil or coal to make a fire. Yes, our ancestors did it even back in the Stone Age. It has been an easy way to cook food, heat our caves, and explode gasses in metal cylinders with pistons. Many believe that we should just continue this human family tradition, even if our collective population has ballooned to billions across the planet and the carbon from our campfires keeps collecting in the atmosphere. It is been scientifically concluded that, since carbon dioxide is such a stable molecule, the CO2 from the first Model T Fords is still floating around in the atmosphere. And what about those cars? In 1950, the US was producing half of the world’s oil and used most of it to power the automobiles. Fifty years later, we don’t even produce half of our own oil. Furthermore, the climate crisis has now burst our bubble of continuing to burn cheap energy, since fuel-based energy is no longer cheap and the effects of global warming (geoengineering. Ed.) are becoming more apparent every day. Nikola Tesla, the father of AC electricity, countered this trend a century ago when he said, “If we use fuel to get our power, we are living on our capital and exhausting it rapidly. This method is barbarous and wantonly wasteful and will have to be stopped in the interest of coming generations.” Tesla further went on to state, “With its full development and a perfect system of wireless transmission of our energy to any distance, man will be

Energy of the Future Exploring Potential Energy Technologies

able to solve all the problems of material existence.” Today, the wireless transmission of electrical energy is emerging on several fronts. MIT professor Marin Soljacic has a short distance wireless power demonstration with two coils using magnetic resonance and thinks he is following in the footsteps of Tesla. However, Professor Emeritus James Corum, of the University of West Virginia, can rightly be called a world’s expert on Nikola Tesla’s wireless electricity since he has published dozens of articles on Tesla’s designs with amazing scientific accuracy regarding the earth-ionosphere capacitor circuit that only distributes power when the consumer turns on the appliance. In contrast, the U.S. electrical grid loses approximately 2/3 of its energy on the way to the final distribution point, even if the customer never uses it! At the 2003 Nikola Tesla Energy Science Conference in Washington DC, sponsored by Integrity Research Institute, Dr. Corum stated that Tesla’s basic concepts of transmitting power

with high efficiency (over 95%) around the globe had been confirmed from his perspective. Corum has also written about Tesla’s “magnifying transmitter” and his extremely low frequency (ELF) oscillator, which are integral parts of what Telsa’s Wardenclyffe Tower was designed and built for in 1903. Professor Konstantin Meyl from the University of Furtwangen, Germany also has written about wireless power transmission and has a working demonstration model that can be seen on the web, powering a small boat remotely. All of this evidence confidently points to the development of wireless electricity for much of the world in the future.

I mplications of Extraterrestrial Technology by Thomas Valone PhD https://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=d3mWfhKYp6s What else is available for the energy of the near future and how will energy distribution look in the short term, just a few decades from now? One easy answer is that the power grids of the future will mix and match the energy sources in order to network assets. These will include biomass converters, solar, wind, microturbines and geothermal configured as dispersed smallscale generators, combined with other distributed resources such as flywheel storage devices and sophisticated control equipment, in order to avoid investment in large, costly central power plants. This is the plan of ABB Ltd., a Swiss based

engineering company that has recently divested itself of building large power plants in favor of community-based energy infrastructure. Another future trend that holds promise is the concept of “Energy Islands” that provide a diversified, sustainable combination of wind, solar and ocean thermal energy conversion (OTEC) all together on an island. Most of these will be located in the equatorial regions where the temperature difference between the surface and 1000 meters depth exceeds 20°C. The concept will be launched later this year at Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Earth Challenge, which offers a $25 million in prizes to innovative solutions that combat global warming. Dating back to the 1980’s, Dr. Gerard O’Neill, MIT professor and author of Space Colonies, developed a plan for space solar power (SSP), which has recently gained support from the Pentagon. SSP is a design that would replace fossil fuel energy generation for major, earth-based centralized power systems. Recently, Space Solar Power Institute presented Congressman Bart Gordon, Chairman of the Committee of Science and Technology, with a draft for the formation of a privately owned SunSat Corporation. Internationally, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) began testing the ‘microwave power transmission

URBO FLUX, if I’m not mistaken is the title of this month’s cover, Simon Haiduk’s fabulous painting, and a fairly accurate description of these last many months of life as I’ve seen and experienced it myself. Without a doubt it has been a Fire Monkey year to remember, and one presently leading into a Fire Rooster/Chicken year. I’m told that the Japanese refer to this coming time as a phoenix (fire bird) year. All in all there’s more than an excellent chance that the big transformations, renewals and rebirths will keep on coming, arriving and manifesting for a while yet. Our little piece of heaven here called Earth is surely ripe for evolution. “Grace is the beauty of form under the influence of freedom.” Friedrich Schiller Never forget: we have it in our capacity to change everything, always starting with ourselves. And when that really starts happening, I mean when we really get cooking with our involvement in the most wonderful art of co-creating realities (and we do that in conjunction with The All of Everything who’s always offering us the opportunity and tools to evolve - regardless of what they seem to us at the time) then the great show will have truly begun. With that transformation flowering to include our world, our homes, our lives, our relationships; bloom enriching bloom, change inspiring change, one encouraging the other through example, this endless garden of possibility will explode in a transmogrification of wondrousness, into a symphony of beauty expressed. “I only ask to be free. The butterflies are free.” Charles Dickens Of course getting there is the journey, and a most excellent one it is indeed. That’s not to say it’s all cotton candy and shimmering lights. Rather it’s the grounding earth under our nails, between our toes; it’s the waters of this world flowing; the children, all the children of life living and giving to one another the gifts they have to offer. At times it’s been the Salmon people

Page 5

Turbo Flux sacrificing their lives so ours might continue, or the Bison people. Now it’s the terrible truths about ourselves and our troubles that our very children and the living creatures of the world are sacrificing themselves to bring to the light of our consciousness, an awareness of our responsibilities to one another. “To achieve the mood of a warrior

is not a simple matter. It is a revolution. To regard the lion and the water rats and our fellow men as equals is a magnificent act of a warrior’s spirit. It takes power to do that.” Carlos Castaneda Butchers or stewards, farmers or gardeners, soldiers or artists, we are what we do, who and how we eat, and nourish ourselves, and one another, what we say, think and do: these afford us our Seeing of where we really are on this awesome journey each step of the way. “The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.” Albert Camus The World around us, be it flat, round, hurtling through space or riding on the back of a titanic turtle, reflects us, informs us, mirrors us, engages us, challenges us; and through that awareness and experience shows us what we need to see, to transform, to heal, and to love. The World inside us (worlds really), as telling a place as one might imagine, each one to the other as different as crystalline snowflakes,

affords us all the opportunity, the narrative and the vantage point for leaping off and away from the known into the innocence of the unknown, which is where the magic of our being is found. “We have to balance the linearity of the known universe with the nonlinearity of the unknown universe.” Carlos Castaneda Imagination is much more than just a word, it is limitless power awaiting our curiosity and daring. Imagine anything. Imagine everything. Imagine yourself anew. Nothing is beyond us, certainly not our own transformation, nor our own evolution. There are very good reasons why this seems so difficult and hard. In truth the only thing harder is not evolving, not transforming. “Shall I tell you what the real evil is? To cringe to the things that are called evils, to surrender to them our freedom, in defiance of which we ought to face any suffering.” Lucius Annaeus Seneca What we see most often in the World around us, and often enough the one inside us, is the result of exactly that: an inborn, ingrown refusal to allow right action to flow through us: a refusal to allow Life to flow and hence grow free. Instead there are logjams of broken dreams and insane beliefs, crazy, at times alien, attempts to draw power from repression and dammed up potential. Inside and out, our worlds, our World shows us everything we need to see about where our true responsibilities reside, waiting for us to champion the very best of ourselves into manifesting that which we so powerfully yearn, hunger and thirst: our own freedom. “A hero is someone who understands the responsibility that comes with his freedom.” Bob Dylan The subject of subjects: Freedom. To my eye nothing is more

important, nothing is of greater and more immediate concern, for it encompasses all facets of our existence, shared and otherwise. I feel it is our true heritage and natural state of being. One only has to look at how we treat our environment and the rest of our neighbours populating our dream in endless variations of Life itself to know exactly how much of that natural state we’ve earned or traded away in exchange for the consuming conveniences of a caged and at times comical yet omnicidal selfishness. I say comical because ya gotta laugh it’s so crazy, so obviously mad the folly to which we’ve so willfully abandoned ourselves. “Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth.” John F. Kennedy Luckily the Phoenix rises from its own ashes, and maybe it’s the fire monkey that sets the blaze, eh folks? Now where did I put that match? Oh, here it is. If you are not evolving, ladies and gentlemen, not transforming, not engaged in the cultivation of your own being: what are you doing? And why? “It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.” Samuel Adams Honesty, folks, there’s your fire starter. Nothing burns so brightly or more true. Makes the monsters and the lies, the cowards and the flies run and hide. Imagine the cosmic conflagration that would follow Humanity’s acceptance of their proper and loving role as the embodiers of truth and the responsibility that comes with that realization, with that reality: one that is so obviously ours to claim. What a blaze that will be! I’ve already got one burning at my core. I tend that fire ceaselessly, never letting it go out, regardless of the storms of ignorance raging all around, for it is my heart. “Look at every path closely and deliberately, then ask this crucial question: Does this path have a heart? If it does, then the path is good. If it doesn’t, it is of no use.” Carlos Castaneda Right makes might, not the other

UMAN BEINGS HAVE superhuman, Jedi-like, psychic and physical powers. The CIA knows this, and we often see stories of amazing individuals who are capable of unbelievable feats of mind, body and spirit. This is built into the 99.9% part of our DNA that we all share, yet so few of us are fortunate enough to grow up in an environment where these abilities are challenged and developed from early on, and skepticism of our infinite potential is too common. The world of Chinese martial arts is where much of this type of magic happens, and masters who’ve spent their entire lives cultivating the body’s biophysical and spiritual energy systems are legendary for feats such as healing people with their hands or starting fires with their palms. Remarkably, Qi Gong Master Kanzawa Sensei is famous for being able to put wild animals to sleep by subtly manipulating the energy fields around them with his hands. Tai Chi, often translated as ‘Supreme Ultimate Boxing’ is a traditional Chinese martial art which cultivates inner life force energy (Qi), while strengthening one’s body, mind and spirit for combat, self-defense, and longevity. “Qi”, which is pronounced Ki in the Japanese arts, is the Chinese word for “energy”, and pertains to all forms of energy in the universe. In martial arts and qigong, it specifically refers to human Qi, the bioenergy or lifeforce within every cell of the human body.” ~Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming Through a lifetime of practicing specific forms, drills, exercises, meditations and other esoteric methods which strengthen and purify the energetic centers of the body, true masters

Master of Tai Chi Demonstrates

the Surprising Power of Qi Energy of Tai Chi can develop very refined and potent internal energy which can be visibly demonstrated in remarkable ways. In the following video, an elder master of Tai Chi is seen using physical movement in coordination energetic movement to jar and repel younger students, forcefully throwing them backwards and off-balance with very small movements of his body.

Master of Tai Chi Demonstrate the Power of Qi Energy https://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=DDWRiImglZQ His actions, though subtle in appearance, have a disproportional effect on his opponents. To the skeptic, this may seem unbelievable, but while charlatans do exist, this demonstration is authentic. The master is applying the principles of grounding, moving from the center (lower dan tien), wave dynamics and coordinated mind-body concentration, along with Qi circulation and explosive energy. For those who’ve been in the presence of genuine Masters of Qi, and have practiced Tai Chi or other Chinese internal martial arts, this is quite real and very possible. Lower dan tien is the base foundation of the body’s energy structure, acting as the root, or grounding center, and as well as being the physical center of the human body, this is where the development of powers such as these begins. Dan Tien – Literally, “Field of Elixir.” Locations in the body which are able to store and generate Qi (elixir) in the body.

Help Yourself Videos

Page 6

The Upper, Middle and Lower Dan Tien are located, respectively, between the eyebrows, at the solar plexus, and a few inches below the navel. [Dr. Yang, The Root of Chinese Qigong: Secrets of Health, Longevity, & Enlightenment] Beyond basic training of dan tien, there are an almost infinite number of techniques which can be practiced, such as Fah Jing, Hsing Ie, and Ba Gua Zhong, all of which are nuanced means of developing explosive energy, deeply rooted balance, and intense mind-body connections. Describing the process of how such remarkable energy can be created so quickly, renowned Kung Fu, Tai Chi and Qi Gong master, Dr. Jwing-Ming Yang remarks: “Theoretically, in order to activate the muscles to generate force or power, the mind must lead the Qi to the area where the muscles should be energized. For example, when you push a car, you must first generate an idea, and from this mind, an electromotive force (EMF) is generated. From this EMF the Qi is led to the muscles for energization. Through the nervous system (a highly electrically conductive system) the muscles are stimulated and contract, thereby generating action.” ~Dr. Yang In layman’s terms, the human body can be trained to operate as a directed energy weapon, as is demonstrated in the video above.

Final Thoughts

The mind is capable of becoming just as rigid as the body, but anyone can develop their internal energy system and enhance their

Qi to improve their life. The fundamentals of Qi training are easy enough for anyone and are outlined in five basic principles by Dr. Yang: Strength and flexibility, the breath, the mind, the energetic system, and the spirit. “The day science begins to study nonphysical phenomena, it will make more progress in one decade than in all the previous centuries of its existence. To understand the true nature of the universe, one must think it terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” ~Nikola Tesla

HE SHOW MUST go on’ as they say in the theatre. And indeed, so it would appear. Only this particular show seems to have no beginning or end. The curtain never comes down; there isn’t even an interval in which to draw breath and stretch one’s legs. It’s a 24/7 bonanza, and the cost of a seat is almost certain to put you out of pocket. In spite of which, the auditorium is full of expectant faces staring up at the unfolding scenes and drinking in the drama being staged for their consumption. So few actors, so many spectators. Yet the actors hold the attention and the spectators soon forget that they are in a theatre and have paid for their seats. We are all at this performance. Its setting is planet Earth. The actors strut around feigning importance, playing the role ascribed to them by the writer of the script and the director of ‘the show’. You know who they are – you see them everyday on TV screens and newspapers. A few are quite convincing, and like most actors they feign true sincerity and then pause for the applause. The director remains largely invisible, but in the background he has fixed the agenda and set the scene. The scriptwriter also remains largely incognito. However, his words on the page provide the narrative without which the actors would not be able to perform their predesignated roles. The cast of today’s crowd-pulling drama have names like May, Merkel and Trump. The play in which they are currently performing is entitled ‘If I Ruled the World’, and there are many other roles for aspiring lesser performers and even for some retired leading-lights of yesteryear. New scripts continuously emerge so as ‘to keep the show on the road’. A recent

Page 7

Sold a Lie

Stop Watching the Show — Manifest a Vision of Truth hit, for example, was ‘Brexit’, a play in four acts, featuring a strong line-up of music hall performers as well as some fine orators, one of whom cut his teeth in the great performing venues of Continental Europe. But look, these marionettes of the political charade called ‘democracy’ can only be where they are, and do what they do, because we give them centre stage. We let ourselves become embroiled in their show and convince ourselves that it’s the only show in town. But it’s not, and in spite of being big and noisy, it’s actually a facade designed and orchestrated by the hidden hands who pull the strings that tweak the marionettes into action. Very occasionally a true leader emerges: an individual who stands out for their empathy with a struggling humanity. But for decades now, it is ‘the show’ that has contrived to dominate. A show kept in place by stage managers who ensure all the rules, regulations and disciplines are operating as they should. But it is we the people who elect the cast of this play. A cast who promise to reflect and represent our needs on the national stage, to bring change where change is needed and to stand firm in the role that they are given. So you see, we are complicit in the maintenance of ‘the rules of the game’ that keep the control system under which we suffer, alive and well. Those who we elect mostly fall at the first

hurdle – and all their promises go with them. ‘The system’ is in charge, after all, and our elected representatives quickly fall under the spell of its mechanics and become victims of its sinister agenda. An agenda played-out on the global stage with the help of powerful centralized banks, mega corporations and a heavily funded military. Yes, this is the show we have paid to bring to town. But we have been sold a lie. We have bought into a chimera, a charade, and the biggest part of the problem is that we fail to recognize this fact. We actually believe it is a bona fide happening, without which we would all be thrown into chaos and despair. So it is that we cling on to this outworn model of ‘democracy’, fearful of what might happen if it were dismantled and consigned it to history. Fearful maybe, of what might emerge in its place. But that’s no good, and you know it. Because what stands in front of us is a choice; to remain a slave to a system which cannot survive without slaves – or to break free and give form to something altogether different. Are you ready to take such a step? So what might bringing about something altogether different actually involve? We must have a go at answering this, because it is the most critical question of this era, one we all face today - whether we realize it or not. What we are talking about is taking

back control of our destinies, not giving responsibility for them to someone else. Try to conceive what this might be like. Well, for a start, out goes ‘the politician’ and with him/her the central control system called ‘parliament’. By the way, parliament did once represent the venue for an ideal in the making: an aspiration to give voice to those who never had a voice and to introduce collective justice where only the will of a monarch had previously prevailed. But such a situation has long been redundant, because parliament was hijacked decades ago by the hidden hand of centralized control, and the politician became a stooge for the banking, military and corporate power cartels seemingly beyond his control. That is why this ‘corrupted beyond repair’ model has to go. There’s a new lightness in the air at the sheer mention of such an action! What is mainstream media going to talk about without the mock democracy to fill its airwaves? Where will attention be turned once the charade of politics is removed from its pompous pedestal? What would we like to see fill the vacant place? Think about it, because almost nobody is, and that is in large part the reason why it hasn’t yet happened. It is at around this point that something valuable starts stirring within, and the seeds of a fresh vision put forth their first shoots. The low vibratory rate of energy to which we have adapted, shifts upward a gear. The fog starts to clear. We can see more clearly what we couldn’t see at all before we dared dispense with the old lie. The new perception looks and feels something like this: we are here on this world having something called ‘a life’. It might last seven or eight decades, or more, or less; but as far as we know, it’s the only one we’ve got. How did we acquire this special gift? What are we

Though paying taxes was a voluntary act, the federal legislature (never referred to as government), did have legitimate operating expenses, and depended on property taxes collected from and given by the states voluntarily in varying amounts. rime Minister Shinzo Abe’s cabinet has approved a record $43.6 billion Japan military budget, increasing it for the fifth year in a row out of concerns over potential threats from China and North Korea.Abe’s cabinet signed off on a 1.4 percent increase in military spending, bringing the total to a record 5.13 trillion yen ($43.66 billion) for the fiscal year starting April 1. Experts say the plan is very likely to be approved by lawmakers.Meanwhile, China continues to claim disputed territories in the South China Sea, and North Korea has continued to carry out missile tests. http://bit.ly/2ihV2Qh

Because Keystone XL North crosses the U.S.-Canada border, current processes require it to obtain a presidential permit from the U.S. Department of State, which the Obama administration has denied. http://bit.ly/2ieN884

ORE THAN 100 MILLION people in the United States suffer from debilitating chronic pain and far too many succumb to the use of powerful prescription painkillers. Their consumption has jumped 300 percent in the last decade. The one plant which has caused the single most incarcerations in the United States is the same plant which can curb addictions from opioids and also help people suffering from depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and social anxiety, says a study. The collusion between Big Pharma and Government is so strong that the system still believes (through corruption) that a plant should be classified as an illegal drug. There is now abundant evidence that the suppression of medical marijuana is perhaps one of the greatest failures of a free society, journalistic and scientific integrity as well as our fundamental values. There is no plant on Earth more condemned than marijuana. “Marijuana is not a gateway drug,” said cannabis connoisseur and activist Jeffrey Johnson. “When weed is available, most studies show that the use of harmful street drugs like meth and cocaine actually decrease. If anything, it’s an exit drug,” he stated. More acclaims are coming forward from research teams claiming Marijuana could indeed be the exit drug on the century. “Research suggests that people may be using cannabis as an exit drug to reduce the use of substances that are potentially more harmful, such as opioid pain medication,” said the study’s lead investigator Zach Walsh, Associate Professor at University of British Columbia’s Okanagan campus in Canada. The study published in the journal Clinical Psychology Review is based on a systematic review of research on the medical

Page 10

Marijuana Treats True Addiction

From Pharmaceuticals, Depression And Social Anxiety cannabis use and mental health as well as reviews on non-medical cannabis use. However, the review concluded that cannabis use might not be recommended for conditions such as bipolar disorder and psychosis. “In reviewing the limited evidence on medical cannabis, it appears that patients and others who have advocated for cannabis as a tool for harm reduction and mental health have some valid points,” Walsh said. It is important to identify ways to help mental health professional move beyond stigma to better understand the risk and benefits of cannabis, Walsh added. “There is not currently a lot of clear guidance on how mental health professionals can best work with people who are using cannabis for medical purposes,” Walsh said. Thousands of people who use opioids for pain control die from overdose each year–and the number is increasing. In fact, opioid-overdose deaths have quadrupled within 10 years, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and three out of four of these deaths involve prescription pain medications, not street drugs. Most of the people who die–60%–aren’t using the drugs illegally either. They have legitimate prescriptions. Another unrelated study suggested that ‘pot’ may even have a place in curbing the opioid epidemic. And yet marijuana can be notoriously hard to study in the U.S. because it’s classified as a Schedule 1 drug, which means it has a high potential for abuse. Many

scientists and medical professionals think the classification hampers research, and that marijuana’s medical potential merits further exploration. More studies, research advocates argue, would also help eliminate stigma associated with the drug, paving the way for more and better studies. Some studies have examined the effect of adding a cannabinoid to the regimen of patients with chronic pain who report significant pain despite taking stable doses of potent opioids. An investigational cannabinoid therapy helped provide effective analgesia when used as an adjuvant medication for cancer patients with pain that responded poorly to opioids, according to results of a multicenter trial reported in The Journal of Pain, published by the American Pain Society. When patients begin to consume cannabis, there is a notable decline in the amount of prescribed medications taken, such

as antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, and pain relievers. These drugs have severe side effects. There is not one clinical study that examined the use of cannabis for pain relief where subjects were not able to reduce their drug intake. When it comes to pain management, some studies even suggest that patients who use vaporizers to consume medical marijuana could experience excellent results. A team of Israeli scientists recently conducted a clinical trial in which they discovered that patients who vaporized whole-plant cannabis felt a substantial amount of relief from nerve pain. These findings, which were published in the latest edition of the Journal of Pain and Palliative Care Pharmacotherapy, indicate that the majority of the study participants reported this reduction as the result of inhalers. Why Cannabis is Safer Gregory T. Carter, MD, Clinical Professor at the School of Medicine at the University of Washington, stated the following in his response titled “The Argument for Medical Marijuana for the Treatment of Chronic Pain,” published in an article titled “Medical Marijuana: A Viable Tool in the Armamentaria of Physicians Treating Chronic Pain? A Case Study and Commentary,” in the May 2013 issue of Pain Medicine: “[R]esearch further documents the safety and efficacy of medicinal cannabis for chronic pain. THC Makes Cannabis Ideal for Treating Asthma, Study Shows By Anna Hunt Waking Times

A

NEW CLINICAL STUDY reports that cannabis acts as a bronchodilator, meaning that it dilates the bronchi and bronchioles, increasing airflow to the lungs. This peer-reviewed study was published in the Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics. It claims that cannabinoids protect the lungs from constriction and can be quite helpful for asthma patients. The study compared the effects of six cannabinoids – THC, CBD, CBG, CBC, CBD-A, and THC-V – on contractions of the guinea pig-isolated trachea and bronchoconstriction induced by nerve stimulation in anesthetized guinea pigs. A team of researchers at the King’s College London, led by Raj Makwana, discovered the following: Only Δ(9)tetrahydrocannabinol [THC] inhibited TNF-αenhanced vagal-induced bronchoconstriction, neutrophil recruitment to the airways, and citric acidinduced cough responses. Tetrahydrocannabivarin [THC-V] partially inhibited the TNF-α-enhanced nerveevoked contractions, whereas the other cannabinoids were without effect. (https://www.learngreenflower.com/ articles/322/how-cannabis-treatsasthma) This is great news for those with asthma, who often suffer from bronchoconstriction, the constriction of the airways in the lungs, nose and mouth due to the tightening of surrounding muscles. Because of this, an asthma attack limits a person’s oxygen intake. Low-level inflammation can also be found in bronchi and bronchioles of asthma sufferers. Over the last few decades, we’ve come to better understand the role of cannabinoids on the human body. Cannabinoid receptors are present throughout the body. This explains why people can benefit from cannabis in so many different ways. Cannabinoid receptors have been found in human lung tissue, although in relatively low concentrations, and are thought to play a vital role in the regulation of inflammation, muscular contractions and dilations, and various metabolic processes. ~ Pulmonary Pathology (https://sensiseeds.com/en/ blog/top-6-benefits-of-cannabis-forasthma/)

Page 11

Other studies have shown that cannabis has little to no long-term effect on the lungs. For example, researchers out of the University of California, San Francisco, found: Occasional and low cumulative marijuana use was not associated with adverse effects on pulmonary function. (http://jamanetwork. com/journals/jama/fullarticle/1104848) Even as early as in 1973, scientists were discovering the bronchodilatory effect of cannabis smoke. A study conducted by Louis Vachon, M.D. et al at Boston University was the first to state: Marijuana smoke, unlike cigarette smoke, causes bronchodilatation rather than bronchoconstriction and, unlike opiates, does not cause central respiratory depression. (http://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/ NEJM197305102881902) In addition to air pathway constriction,

people experiencing an asthma attack also suffer from significant pain. Numerous studies have shown that cannabis has powerful painreducing properties. The positive impact on the respiratory system cannot be denied. It’s not surprising that anyone with asthma or respiratory issues would be apprehensive about smoking cannabis, but physicians in states where medical cannabis is legal are starting to prescribe it to patients for treating asthma. Dr. Dustin Sulak, a leading medical cannabis physician, finds that vaporizing cannabis is a highly effective solution for asthma patients. This is because a good vaporizer provides superior temperature control. “Probably 90% of people with asthma can take a single vaporize inhalation,” Dr. Sulak states. “If they do it right, they’re going to be able to breathe deeper, expand their lungs, and relieve constriction.” Dr. Sulak recommends a daily dosing to get a baseline level of medication in your system for better overall asthma control. We don’t have to think like a man to be equal to a man. We are different and the only problem with that is the ones we create.

Lie #3 The American Dream is true happiness and the goal for all

The American dream is more like a nightmare replacing the virtues encoded in our very DNA with the 7 deadly sins, most notable greed, gluttony and envy. We compete with our neighbors and value people on what they own instead of who they are. We have been taught to grade people on their jobs rather than who they are as a human being and how they treat others or what they offer in ways to make the world a better place for us all. Hollywood teaches that greed is good. The more material items you own the more you are worth to society. This could not be further from the truth, which brings me to the next lie…

Lie #4 The problem with this planet is overpopulation

The problem is not overpopulation, it is overconsumption. This is the system that they created for us to follow and then blaming us for being too many in number.

The new norm for young girls is to think as a boy. Although every woman should have a right to choose whether she wants to work or stay at home, the CIA run women’s movement of the 70s clearly made a preference towards the working women demeaning the role of the stay at home mom. “We can bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan and never let you forget you’re a man cuz I’m a woman”. Two Amazing Shows!

Ayurveda: The Life-knowledge and Science of the Ancients A

by Glennis Taylor

t this time, as in no other, the pulse of scientific discovery quickens, exploring the deepest aspects of the mysterious web of life. As we become breathtakingly more acquainted with the intricate world within us and the vast world beyond us, the possibilities for us as a human race expand exponentially. For the first time, we can manipulate the natural unfolding of human destiny. We can now, for less than $200, peer into our very own genetic makeup, daring to glimpse at our blueprint with its mutations and genetic SNP’s that may impact our future and that of our children. We may soon be able to choose our children’s characteristics. The exploding field of epigenetics is accumulating data on how to switch on and off genes that will influence the wellbeing of individuals in many ways. We are mapping out metabolic pathways and how diet, lifestyle, phytonutrients and pharmaceuticals can influence the genetic expression of inherited predispositions. In this windstorm of information that swirls around us are tossed theories and speculations, often conflicting, that we must wade through to find the ideas and solutions that resonate with us. As a scientist, I am awed by the wealth of cutting-edge information readily available to us, but at times feel adrift in the sea of scientific discovery. In this unfolding of knowledge, it is interesting to note that as we get closer to the essence of understanding life around us and within us, we often seem to be led back to much of what the ancients have believed and proposed since mankind began to record history. We are held spellbound as we realize what our ancestors knew without the macro

and nano tools of science. They did not know it scientifically as we do, but had some intrinsic understanding, some connection to source that we moderns are struggling to reconnect with. It seems unfathomable how they were able to calculate distances in the heavens and understand chi or prana, the essence of life that we can now detect and confirm with our technology today. It seems a confluence of old and new that draws us back to our roots. Amid the present day hectic pace, many of us are trying to find a simpler way of being and are marrying many old traditions into the modern day framework. It is comforting to know and honour the way of the ancients. These centuries old pillars of strength that have weathered the modern wave, continue to flourish in many parts of the world, extending their reach further into the New World. Of these ancient traditions and medical practices, Ayurveda, its roots in ancient India, seems to be one of the oldest with a 5000 year history, and is perhaps the oldest continued practice of medicine we know of. The practice of Ayurveda today remains much as it was over the centuries with some modern adaptations as well. Ayurveda means “life-knowledge” or “life-science” and is a qualitative science rather than the quantitative approach we use in western medicine, where we become a number in a medical file and a test result from a drop of blood under the microscope. The highly sophisticated practice of Ayurvedic medicine, as well as the traditional Chinese one, look at us as whole beings, body and mind, where conclusions and treatment protocols are based on the patient’s experiences and expression in the world. How one feels and reacts are an important part of the diagnosis and integral in

choice of remedies and lifestyle suggestions. A good practitioner is very well trained and experienced over many years to be able to utilize the complex and precise tools of the traditional way. Ayurveda incorporates internal medicine, surgery and obstetrics. The root of most problems we face, according to Ayurveda, begins with digestion. This is strongly supported by modern functional medicine today. To find out more about Ayurveda, I spoke to Todd Caldecott of Vancouver. Todd is an Ayuvedic practitioner with over 20 years of experience in the field of Ayurveda as well as Chinese medicine and western herbalism. Todd was a television actor in Vancouver who went to India to broaden his horizons. Upon returning to Canada, he was experiencing some chronic digestive issues that sent him in search of resolution. Having tried different natural modalities that showed minimal improvement, he was introduced to Ayurvedic medicine and began his road to recovery. Inspired by his turn-around, Todd studied Ayurveda both in India and the west. He eventually found his way to Nepal and has worked with an ancient form of Ayurveda known as the Bajracharya medical tradition. This tradition has been in existence for over 800 years in the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal. Todd felt so strongly that this information needed to be available so he wrote a book on the subject called Food As Medicine. Todd explained that the pure traditional Ayurvedic ways are rarely taught here in the west. The modern day Ayurvedic training is different from the practice of the ancients and he finds the traditional Nepalese way an extremely effective approach. He is interested in keeping this tradition alive by training others to carry on this practice as it is now

harder to keep up the old ways in Nepal; there times have changed making it more difficult for this generation of healers to practice as their forefathers have always done. In his practice, Todd uses the tools of western herbalism, Chinese traditions as well as Ayurvedic methods. In every case, he stresses that the way to heal is to adopt a lifestyle that suits the individual’s constitution and needs. It is about ritual in one’s day and honouring the temperament of each individual. It incorporates diet and lifestyle along with some herbal remedies that support the wellbeing of the person in all aspects of life. The patient is an active player in the healing process along with the practitioner, both aware of the rhythms of life and its cycles from birth to death. It is about aligning ourselves with our own unique rhythm and with the interconnectedness of everything. We do not exist in isolation but are a part of the wonder of the whole. We heal ourselves and the earth heals also. The ancients knew something that carried them through the centuries and we are beginning to rediscover that wisdom. These are time tested ways that continue to be relevant even in today’s world. Todd and many others are carrying the torch to maintain the wealth of knowledge that we can tap into on the healing journey for all of us. May we continue to thrive in this challenging time of change by remaining connected to the knowledge available to us, both ancient and contemporary; and to incorporate the best of both worlds in adapting modern lifestyles to old principles. absorption, thereby avoiding the potential risks 5ssociated with smoking completely… Natural cannabis contains 5-15% THC but also includes multiple other therapeutic cannabinoids, all working in concert to produce analgesia…” The Mayo Clinic stated in its Aug. 25, 2006 online article “Marijuana as Medicine: Consider the Pros and Cons”: “People widely used marijuana for pain relief in the 1800s, and several studies have found that cannabinoids have analgesic effects. In fact, THC may work as well in treating cancer pain as codeine, a mild pain reliever. Cannabinoids also appear to enhance the effects of opiate pain medications to provide pain relief at lower dosages. Researchers currently are developing new

medications based on cannabis to treat pain.” David Hadorn, MD, PhD, Medical Consultant for GW Pharmaceuticals, Ltd., wrote in his July 17, 2003 document titled “Use of Cannabis Medicines in Clinical Practice,” published on his personal website www.davidhadorn. com (website no longer available; Feb. 17, 2009): “Scientists have known for many years that cannabinoids (the major active ingredients in cannabis medicines) are potent pain relievers, and that they act synergistically with opiates to increase the degree of pain relief. The addition of cannabis medicines to

therapeutic regimens can reduce the need for opiates by 50 percent or more in many patients (while also reducing side effects such as constipation that opiates commonly produce).” Denis Petro, MD, Board of Directors for Patients Out of Time, wrote in his paper titled “Spasticity and Chronic Pain” published in the 1997 book Cannabis in Medical Practice – A Legal, Historical and Pharmacological Overview of the Therapeutic Use of Marijuana:

“The evidence in support of cannabis as a treatment for pain exists both in preclinical animal studies and in a small number of clinical trials. Since cannabis contains many active cannabinoids in varying amounts in differing plants, a coherent recommendation concerning use against pain symptoms is lacking… Considering the alternative of addicting drugs such as the opiate analgesics, patients may opt for the relative safety of cannabis.” Based on these findings, many pain experts are now advising that physicians recommend cannabis therapy in in lieu of opiate medications to “reduce the morbidity and mortality rates associated with prescription pain medications.”

Confirmed: The Eye Emits Actual Light (Biophotons) By Sayer Ji

www.greenmedinfo.com

“The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.”

L

— Matthew (ch. VI, v. 22)

OOK DEEPLY INTO THE HUMAN EYE, and you are bound to get lost in its deep beauty. Much like mirrors facing one another in the dizzying cascade of visual infinitude, the seer gets lost in the spectacle, of which s(he) forms a part, i.e, you are an eye seeing at the same moment that you are seeing an eye; percipient and perceptible; seeing and visible. That exquisite aperture - the mammalian eye - through which the light of the Universe passes into the darkest recesses of the human brain, is actually an extension of the nervous system - that like a plant - grows towards the light, which nourishes it. Nourishes it how? With both energy and information, which is the very dual nature of Light. The eyes do not age like the rest of our organs, due to the exaggerated expression of the chromosome-healing enzyme telomerase. As cells divide, important code at the end of the chromosomes can be damaged when the telomeres are sliced apart during mitosis (cell division). Like the ends of shoestrings, these telomeres are tended to and healed by the enzyme telomerase. The better shape the telomeres and the enzyme telomerase are in, the healthier will be the daughter cells following cell division, and the more longlived and youthful these organs will be. Since the eyes have a unique level of chromosomehealing activity at their disposal, this explains

Page 16

so well how an aged individual’s eyes can relume brilliantly the youthful qualities of their soul. Look closely at the image above, or at your own eyes in a reflective surface, and tell me whether or not you see that they are not simply receptacles of light and perception, but that they project their own light (i.e. their soul)? Indeed, new research published in the Journal of Brain Research in Jan. 19 2011 show that the mammalian eye exhibits a “spontaneous and visible light-induced ultraweak photon emission.” More details: Here, we present the first experimental in vitro evidence of the existence of spontaneous and visible light-induced ultraweak photon emission from freshly isolated whole eye, lens, vitreous humor, and retina samples from rats. These results suggest that the photochemical source of retinal discrete noise, as well as retinal phosphenes, may originate from natural bioluminescent photons within the eyes. During normal vision, the eyes are

continuously exposed to ambient powerful photons that pass through various parts of the eyes, which can produce ultraweak delayed bioluminescent photons that arise from diverse parts of the eyes. Although the importance and possible role of ambient light-induced permanent delayed photons (within different parts of the eyes) during vision requires further investigation, our study may provide evidence of an origin of discrete dark noise and retinal phosphenes. (Source http://www.greenmedinfo.com/article/ spontaneous-and-visible-light-inducedultraweak-photon-emission-rat-eyes) In another study published in May 2011 in the Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology, on the bioluminescence of the mammalian eye, an explanation of “negative afterimages” is provided. A common example of a negative aftermage is the bright glow that seems to float before one’s eyes after looking into a light source for a few seconds. More details here: The delayed luminescence of biological tissues is an ultraweak reemission of absorbed photons after exposure to external monochromatic or white light illumination. Recently, Wang, Bókkon, Dai and Antal (2011) [10] presented the first experimental proof of the existence of spontaneous ultraweak biophoton emission and visible light induced delayed ultraweak photon emission from in vitro freshly isolated rat›s whole eye, lens, vitreous humor and retina. Here, we suggest

that the photobiophysical source of negative afterimage can also occur within the eye by delayed bioluminescent photons. In other words, when we stare at a colored (or white) image for few seconds, external photons can induce excited electronic states within different parts of the eye that is followed by a delayed reemission of absorbed photons for several seconds. Finally, these reemitted photons can be absorbed by non-bleached photoreceptors that produce a negative afterimage. Although this suggests the photobiophysical source of negative afterimages is related retinal mechanisms, cortical neurons have also essential contribution in the interpretation and modulation of negative afterimages. (Source http://www.greenmedinfo.com/article/ visible-light-induced-ocular-delayedbioluminescence-possible-originnegative-afterimage) The light that emanates through the “window of the soul,” the human eye, is not “imagined,” but real and these biophotons contain energy and information (waveparticle complementarity of Light), capable of transforming our understanding of one another, and ourselves. NTESTINAL BACTERIA are the focus of intense research by scientists worldwide. They play a significant role in causing and preventing hundreds of diseases. According to a new systematic review and meta-analysis, probiotics have several advantageous effects on mental health by lessening the psychological symptoms of perceived stress, depression and anxiety. There are over 400 species of bacteria in your belly right now that can be the key to health or disease. The genomes of the bacteria and viruses of the human gut alone are thought to encode 3.3 million genes. Published in The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, the study reviewed the results of seven previous studies that tested for symptoms in over 300 healthy volunteers both before and after supplementation with a probiotic. Researchers from Griffith University in Queensland, Australia, wrote: “Interest in the gut-brain axis and emerging evidence that the intestinal microbiota can influence central nervous system function has led to the hypothesis that probiotic supplementation can have a positive effect on mood and psychological symptoms such as depression and anxiety. “Although several human clinical trials have investigated this, results have been inconsistent. Therefore, a systematic review and meta-analytic approach was chosen to examine if probiotic consumption has an effect on psychological symptoms.” Studies published before July 2016 that were randomized and placebo controlled, and measured preclinical psychological symptoms of depression, anxiety, and perceived stress in healthy volunteers pre and post supplementation with a probiotic were included. Seven studies met the inclusion criteria and provided data for nine comparisons. “The meta-analysis showed that supplementation with probiotics resulted in a statistically significant improvement in psychological symptoms (standardized mean difference 0.34; 95% confidence interval 0.07-0.61, Z=2.49) compared with placebo,” they wrote. “These results show that probiotic consumption may have a positive effect on psychological symptoms of depression, anxiety, and perceived stress in healthy human volunteers.” According to lead author Dr. Natalie Colson, more studies need to be conducted to determine if the consumption of probiotics could also assist with symptoms of diagnosed clinical depression. “The research into the relationship between the gut and the brain is reasonably new however we are now starting to better understand this ‘gut brain axis’. “We don’t know yet how far this could be used in the treatment of depression, however the gut microbiome presents as a potential target for the treatment of cognitive and mood disorders. “But it does appear that generally healthy people who are going through stressful periods could certainly benefit from adding probiotics to their diet.” Further studies may allow for the development of novel probiotic treatment strategies for gastrointestinalrelated disorders that are associated with impaired communication between the

6 Surprising Facts About Microbes In Your Gut n 1. What’s in Your Gut May Affect the Size of Your Gut Need to lose weight? Why not try changing your gut bacteria? New research published in the journal Science suggests that the microbes in your gut may play a role in obesity. A probiotic supplement of exceptional quality and effectiveness that contains at least 10 billion CPU (colonyforming units) of several human strains of “friendly” intestinal micro-flora can actively prevent weight gain. n 2. Probiotics May Treat Anxiety and Depression Scientists have been exploring the connection between gut bacteria and chemicals in the brain for years. New research adds more weight to the theory that researchers call “the microbiome-gut--brain axis.” Research published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Science shows that mice fed the bacterium Lactobacillus rhamnosus showed fewer symptoms of anxiety and depression. Researchers theorize that this is because L. rhamnosus acts on the central gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) system, which helps regulate emotional behavior. L. rhamnosus, which is available as a commercial probiotic supplement, has also been linked to the prevention of diarrhea, atopic dermatitis, and respiratory tract infections. n 3. The More Bacteria the Better While bacteria on the outside of your body can cause serious infections, the bacteria inside your body can protect against it. Studies have shown that animals without gut bacteria are more susceptible to serious infections. Bacteria found naturally inside your gut have a protective barrier effect against other living organisms that enter your body. They help the body prevent harmful bacteria from rapidly growing in your stomach, which could spell disaster for your bowels. To do this, they develop a give-andtake relationship with your body. “The host actively provides a nutrient that the bacterium needs, and the bacterium actively indicates how much it needs to the host,” according to research published in The Lancet. n 4. Gut Bacteria Pass from Mother to Child in Breast Milk It’s common knowledge that a mother’s milk can help beef up a baby’s immune system. New research indicates that the protective effects of gut bacteria can be transferred from mother to baby during breastfeeding. Work published in Environmental Microbiology shows that important gut bacteria travels from mother to child through breast milk to colonize a child’s own gut, helping his or her immune system to mature. n 5. Lack of Gut Diversity Is Linked to Allergies Too few bacteria in the gut can throw the immune system off balance and make it go haywire with hay fever.

Researchers in Copenhagen reviewed the medical records and stool samples of 411 infants. They found that those who didn’t have diverse colonies of gut bacteria were more likely to develop allergies. But before you throw your gut bacteria a proliferation party, know that they aren’t always beneficial. n 6. Gut Bacteria Can Hurt Your Liver Your liver gets 70 percent of its blood flow from your intestines, so it’s natural they would share more than just oxygenated blood. Italian researchers found that between 20 and 75 percent of patients with chronic fatty liver disease--the kind not associated with alcoholism--also had an overgrowth of gut bacteria. Some believe that the transfer of gut bacteria to the liver could be responsible for chronic liver disease.

How Do Probiotics Work

Probiotics work in many different ways by their production of antimicrobial substances (organic acids, hydrogen peroxide, and bacteriocins) that inhibit pathogen adhesion and degrade toxins produced by microbial invaders. Probiotics resist colonization by competing for binding sites as well as for nutrients with pathogens. In other words, they crowd out pathogens like candida and harmful E. Coli.

Probiotics secrete various proteins that stimulate the immune system both locally and throughout the body, boost intestinal brush border enzyme activity and increase secretory-IgA (a family of antibodies lining mucous membranes). Enzymes like lactase, sucrase, maltase, alpha-glucosidase, and alkaline phosphatase are enhanced by probiotics. Cholesterol and triglyceride blood levels are metabolized and lowered by healthy probiotic populations. Probiotics are able to resist translocation, defined as the passage of pathogens from the GI tract to extraintestinal sites such as the mesenteric lymph node (MLN), spleen, liver, kidneys, and blood.

Probiotic Sources

Cultured dairy products like yogurt, acidophilus milk, buttermilk, sour cream, cottage cheese and kefir are the bestknown food sources of friendly bacteria. Equally effective probiotic food sources include cultured/fermented vegetables (cabbage, turnips, eggplant, cucumbers, onions, squash, and carrots). Other, lesser known or used food sources of probiotics are sauerkraut and sourdough breads. Ideally, one could get a good supply of probiotics from one or more of these diverse foodstuffs. If dietary sources are not easily available, supplemental probiotic powders and capsules are good alternatives. Choose a brand that has at least 3 different strains of friendly bacteria and between 6 -- 15 billion live organisms.

109 W Cordova St (Abbott x Cordova, Gastown) 778-786-0977 www.ignitesmokeshop.ca Celiac disease, gluten intolerance, and IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) are on the rise worldwide, and the rise of these conditions has a linear relationship with the growing use of Roundup herbicide on conventional wheat products.

By Laurentine ten Bosch

http://nexusilluminati.blogspot.ca HEAT CONSUMPTION has been a hot topic for a few years now, with most discussions being focused on the adverse health effects of gluten. Many people suffer from gluten intolerance or celiac disease, and the incidences of these ailments are on the rise. In 1975 just 0.21% of Americans had been diagnosed with celiac disease, today that figure is over 1.00% of the population. Now the question is; if we as a society have been consuming large amounts of wheat for generations - why has the percentage of wheat-associated diseases begun a steady increase over the last few decades?

W

It’s The Way Wheat Is Harvested! Some people claim that non-organic wheat products have a more adverse effect on their quality of life than organic wheat products, and recent studies have begun providing the science to back these claims. A new peer-reviewed research paper published in the Journal of Interdisciplinary Toxicology shows that celiac disease, gluten intolerance, and IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) are on the rise worldwide, and that the rise of these conditions has a linear relationship with the growing use of glyphosate (Roundup) herbicide on conventional wheat products. Standard conventional wheat harvest protocol in the US is to saturate the crops with Roundup several days prior to sending the combine harvesters through the field, which allows for an earlier, easier and more substantial harvest. Pre-harvest application of herbicides containing the deadly active ingredient glyphosate has become routine over the past 15 years.

Page 18

The Last Roundup This Could Be the Article That Stops You Eating Non-Organic Wheat

Doctors Anthony Samsel and Stephanie Seneff studied the known effects of glyphosate alongside the known pathologies that are associated with celiac disease, gluten intolerance, and IBS. This comparison identified both chemical and biological pathways where glyphosate was considered to be the source of these illnesses. “All of the known biological effects of glyphosate – cytochrome P450 inhibition, disruption of synthesis of aromatic amino acids, chelation of transition metals, and antibacterial action – contribute to the pathology of celiac disease,” the study states.

Why Is Glyphosate An Issue?

Glyphosate-based products have become the best-selling herbicides internationally due to increased global usage of Monsanto’s “Roundup Ready Crops”, which are genetically modified to withstand multiple applications of Roundup during the growth cycle. Coincidentally, in 2009 Monsanto acquired a wheat development and seed production corporation called WestBred, whose products are now sold through a nationwide distributorship of 100 different licensed seed companies. So let’s connect the dots... non-organic, wheat seeds that are sold to conventional farmers by a company who also produces the toxic herbicide required to reap their full yield potential. It sounds like the kind of practice that should be illegal, which begs the question — why isn’t it?

The Processing Of Wheat Has Changed Dramatically!

Cyndi O’meara, founder of Changing

Habits, is fascinated by our society’s evolving relationship with wheat products and the modifications that we have engineered within our wheat. She explains that wheat has been manipulated and hybridized over the past several decades for the sake of easier mechanical harvesting and higher yields. While this may have seemed like a good thing for farmers and third world countries, there was a major factor that scientists failed to consider - the effect that this new wheat grain would have on human consumption. In the 1980s the new hybridized wheat grains were introduced into Australia and most of the Western world. This wheat grain infiltrated our food supply and became a staple in many of our products from that decade onwards. “The neolithic super starches and proteins are the things that cause problems with our evolutionary bodies. The starch boosts blood glucose levels higher than white sugar and the protein (gluten) is not easily digested, thus causing havoc within our digestive and immune systems. Not only has this modern wheat been implicated in growing rates of diabetes, obesity and heart disease, but it is also emerging as the cause of many autoimmune diseases including type 1 diabetes, Hashimoto’s, osteoporosis, multiple sclerosis, dementia, arteriosclerosis, lupus and many more.” Cyndi explains.

Unsuspected Places You May Find Wheat

In their recent documentary “What’s With Wheat”, Changing Habits suggests

that most people consume wheat products at almost every meal. Additionally, it is present in medications, vitamins and minerals, hair-care products and lipstick. Many additives are made from wheat, and there are now several wheatbased sugars in the food supply, as well. It’s a food product that is likely consumed by almost every person in Western society, whether they know it or not. So how can we regain control of our food supply and ensure that global farming practices reflect the international demand for safe, ethical products? Simple. We vote with our wallet. Try to buy food that has been produced organically without the use of seeds or toxic ‘nasty-cides’ and support local farmers who apply responsible agricultural techniques to their production. The other essential component is that we share this sort of information with everyone who will listen; post it on Facebook, tweet about it or even pick up the phone and call your local political representative. The more we can do, the better! If a strong group of educated citizens can come together and make a decision to stop supporting corrupt food producers, then multinational companies who rely on our consumer dollar will have no choice but to change their ways.

VERY SUMMER, we are approached by the sons of neighbors, or their mothers, asking if we have work on the farm. For some it is curiosity, for others a desire to earn a few dollars doing something other than sitting around playing video games. Sometimes they work out, others times they don’t, but we almost always give them a shot if we are asked, and in some cases it becomes an annual ritual that ends when they go off to college. As a practice I send them off to the chicken coop with a pitchfork and a wheelbarrow and after a brief period of instruction leave them to clean it out. If they return the next day we’ve got a keeper and we move on to other tasks, if not we save each other a lot of time and frustration. I ran into one of them recently, a young man now, who once drove hundreds of cedar fence posts with a sledge hammer for us the first year we began our life in this place and he lit up with a huge smile when he saw me and rushed over to shake my hand. He had just graduated from college and was back home to

watch his younger sister graduate from high school with the same class as our son. He said that he had been meaning to stop up and visit and that he had wanted to tell us that the days he spent on our farm were some of the best days of his life, that he finally understood how important the time he had spent with us had been for him and how he would always think fondly of the hours he spent working on our farm. I don’t know if someone could have given me a better compliment and I was proud to know that whatever he did in his life he would have the memory of having done a good job for someone who appreciated his efforts. Over the course of my lifetime several truths have revealed themselves to me not through intentional seeking, but rather by the constant and repeated proofs of their validity. Certain behaviors net specific results, again and again without fail. Some of these outcomes are negative, others clearly on the positive side and it is always the underlying purpose of the initial actions that guarantee the desired — or undesired — resolution. Living a self sufficient life — as far as that is possible in this day and age — requires the maximization of every hour

spent, every calorie expended, every dollar invested. You learn to make do, repair and repurpose, save and store up, do with what you have or do without. While there is often time to enjoy the beauty around you and to suck in all the sights and sounds and smells of life itself, it is often done with a tool in hand. The other morning I was explaining a chore done poorly by one of these teenage charges in a way I hoped he would understand, demonstrating that what he had failed to do was not the result of failing to do something expected, but rather to do it correctly. He smiled and nodded his head and I asked him to repeat what I had said and he did and the next day when I passed by I saw that he had done what I asked perfectly and has every day since. The chore will likely fade as a memory for him by the time Fall arrives, but the underlying lesson of doing something right will likely last a lifetime. As I sat in bed the other night drifting off to sleep I thought about these lessons, most of which I have learned through trial and error and decided to write them down. These are the five keys to a self-efficient life.

1) Whatever you do, do it well.

All of us face tasks that we would rather not do; laundry, cleaning the toilet, making the bed. Unless you are an invalid or so fabulously wealthy that you maintain a staff to manage your household, you will inevitably be faced with doing some chore so painfully odious or repetitious that you would rather not, yet the job is yours to do. Do it as if it were of importance, whatever that job may be. The result will never disappoint, the difference between well done and mailed in will become apparent and it will humble you to a degree that builds a certain character. In our home I am known to G.I. a bathroom as well as any staff at a five star hotel, not because I dream of becoming a manservant, but because my family, my guests and myself will be the beneficiary of my efforts. A clean refrigerator or a wellmade bed are signs of a well run life beyond the sanitary concern. Putting in effort and paying attention to the details of whatever it is that you are doing no matter how small or insignificant leads to doing the same with the bigger plans in life. A well kept home is a reflection of the person who lives in it and it is a statement about your approach to the world.

2) Make every trip count.

This is one I learned later in life but which has saved me countless hours of precious time. If I am heading out to do a specific chore, I never return empty handed. That is a wasted trip. Every movement you make should be purposeful, every mission an opportunity to do something you’d have to do later. I

Page 19

cannot tell you how many times I have heard someone comment about how they forgot to pick something up while they were out to the store, but that it was alright because they had to go back out for something else later. Why not combine the trips and do it once? The savings in time and energy are enormous when you begin to get in the habit of piggybacking responsibilities. Make lists before you go somewhere that allows you to double or triple your initial efforts and you will see a rapid growth in your efficiency. Soon it will become a second nature to notice other opportunities to complete some side task while in the midst of doing another and your hours will multiply.

3) Persistence rewards.

More people give up on things than become successful at them. There are always reasons why people quit or fold or give up, but most of them reflect the failure of discipline more than ability. When we began to farm we knew virtually nothing about it beyond basic gardening skills, but we had desire and a determination to learn. We had multiple failures in every aspect of what we did, from where we located gates and fence lines, to how we cleared the forest and bred our livestock, but we paid equal attention to what went wrong as to what went right and we built on as many losses as we did on gains. Each misstep was an opportunity and as time went by we developed a sort of psychic scar tissue that allowed us to weather the failed attempts and poor results and use them as learning tools to do things the right way.

4) Quid pro quo.

Do unto others because others will do unto you. I give my help freely and I have been rewarded tenfold over the years because of it. A lot of people will dodge doing something for nothing, but like the concept of the honor box sometimes the rewards are greater than the costs associated with the initial act. This is not to say that you should take advantage of others or become manipulative in your motivations, but it is an acknowledgement of the laws of physics as well as the indisputable nature of karma. No good act goes unrewarded.

5) Time is all you have, spend it wisely.

Every hour of every day we make the kinds of decisions that often seem inconsequential, meaningless. In totality they all add up. The hours spent staring at a glowing screen as opposed to fixing something broken, reading a book, learning a new skill are hours that cannot be replaced. Motivating yourself to do rather than passively be adds skill sets that can be capitalized upon in life as long as you live. As the folks over at ZeroHedge so wisely counsel, “On a long enough timeline, the survival rate is zero.” I have no idea what comes after this life, but I do know that it is the only one we have and that we should treasure every moment of it for what it presents, opportunity to make our lives fuller, richer, more rewarding. I do not have a perfect life, but I have a life that is full and satisfying even when things are difficult and trying because I have determined to make each day count and it is because I have learned to live by these basic premises. I have made my bed and I lay on it, and when I close my eyes to sleep I am satisfied by these efforts no matter how insignificant they may be seem. At the Second Conference on Future Energy in 2006, in Washington DC, sponsored by Integrity Research Institute, Blue Energy International’s Martin Burger described his company’s available Micro Power System for the remote domestic customer kilowatt needs. He also presented the Midrange ocean turbine for remote communities in the hundredkilowatt range and lastly, the Mega Power System tidal fence for an ocean inlet megawatt generation. Burger described six prototypes that have been built and tested under the auspices of the NRC, proving the concept is viable. Another trend that can be called a revolution is the transformation in the solar industry by multiple breakthroughs on all fronts in the early part of this new millennium. Los Alamos National Laboratory has recently broken through the single electron barrier by shrinking the elements of a solar cell down to a few nanometers. Now each captured photon of light can be made to generate not one, but two and even more electron charge carriers. Producing this multiplicity of electrons, a feat duplicated by the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL), is a sign that photovoltaic (PV) cells will soon be seen on the market with two to three times the output for the same size cell as before (Physical Review Letters, V. 92, p. 186601, 2006 and Nano Letters, V. 6, p. 424). A new mechanism for focusing light on small areas of photovoltaic material could make solar power in residential and commercial applications cheaper than electricity from the grid in most markets in the next few years. At half the cost of conventional solar panels, Soliant Energy, a startup based in Pasadena, CA, has developed the new solar modules. Konarka is another breakthrough company that has developed low-cost plastics for solar cells

and courageous thing. Teach them that it is precisely the chain of command that leads to immoral and cowardly acts. Bring giant mirrors to the front line of protests. Point out how their full body armor and loaded-to-the-teeth arsenal is a symbol of failure and cowardice against peaceful, non-violent people. Force them to make moral decisions that will create cognitive dissonance within them, and then don’t let them off the hook. Rub that cognitive dissonance in their face. Pour salt in the open wound. Do it with ruthless mindfulness and tough love. Then throw this quote at them, “When an honest man realizes that he is mistaken, he will either cease being mistaken or cease being honest.” Indeed. When a courageous man realizes that he has been a coward, he will either cease being a coward or cease being courageous.

despite our differences or we continue destroying ourselves through blind worship and divisiveness. We either evolve past this dysfunctional phase of our existence as a species –this infantile phase that imagines it needs to be ruled over– or we die. It really is that simple. I repeat: Revolution begins with a raging fire and ends with a resurrected Phoenix. But first things first –fire. As Joshua Graham said, “I survived because the fire inside me burned brighter than the fire around me.” Burn baby burn!

This is the most difficult stage. The stage most likely to lead to bloodshed. It is possible (though improbable) to achieve a peaceful and non-violent transition into horizontal

democratic anarchy that’s void of centralized government. It’s just extremely difficult. But, as Spinoza said, “All things excellent are as difficult as they are rare.” Once the entrenched power of the centralized government is exposed as illusory and corrupt, once the chain of obedience crumbles under the weight of its own ineptness, and once enough members of the police and military realize that they would have to be violent toward non-violent citizens in order to “do their job” of maintaining “control” and keeping people “in line,” then a tipping point can be reached where the cops and military members will simply lay down their arms rather than kill their own brother. Is it idealistic to imagine such a scenario unfolding? Sure. Is it giving humanity too much credit for potentially becoming courageous and moral despite their cowardly and immoral upbringing within a profoundly sick society? Perhaps. But it’s either we “shoot the moon” or we lose. Either we discover a decentralized non-hierarchical autonomous community unified by an idea or we perish in a centralized hierarchical chain of command obeying a ruler. We either attempt the arduously Herculean task of solidarity

that are efficient across a much broader spectrum of light than traditional cells, allowing them to draw energy from both the sun and indoor lighting. Since its material is lightweight and flexible it can be colored, patterned and cut to fit almost any device. Konarka envisions embedding its material in cell phones, laptops and toys to provide power on the go. Clothing could be woven with the material to supply power for handheld electronics, and signboards, traffic lights and rooftops could be fitted with solar strips. Thus, solar power will become ubiquitous in the near future because of so many current advances in this energy field.

a lower energy treatment that does not activate the waste while trying to treat it, as ATW continued to do throughout its trials. This is where onsite LaserDriven Photo Transmutation of long-lived radioactive waste finally will step in, reviving the fission reactor program, with heightened security and elimination of off-site radioactive transport or long-term storage. One easy answer is that the power grids of the future will mix and match the energy sources in order to network assets. These will include biomass converters, solar, wind, microturbines and geothermal configured as dispersed small-scale

developments at the Second International Conference on Future Energy in 2006. In addition, Dr. Thorsten Ludwig and I are co-authoring a paper on “Magnetism as a Zero-Point Energy Effect” because quantum mechanics is filled with zero point energy (ZPE) references explaining the spinning of electrons that cause magnetic fields. A number of discoveries in the field have made zero point energy (ZPE) much more understandable and accessible to the common physicist. A recent book based on a feasibility study has helped to educate the public about the available means in the future for using ZPE to produce useful electricity and even force production. I am optimistic about ZPE rectifier diodes with “zero bias” as the best solid state means for converting the quantum vacuum fluctuations into single direction, direct current (DC) electricity. While moving away from petrochemical based electrical energy for appliances and transportation is important for the future, there is growing interest in new methods of healing beyond petrochemical based pharmaceuticals. The use of electricity on the surface of the human body, for countering free radicals, pain, and a host of diseases, is becoming more popular with the alternative health community, since it is also free of side effects (More about ‘energy healing’ in a future issue of SuperConsciousness Magazine). There are many other promising future energy avenues, too numerous to mention. The work of Josef Papp, who used a patented mixture of noble gases in a closed internal sparking engine, is an exciting example being well-funded by the Infinite Horizons company in California. The plan is to run a modified car engine for a few thousand hours on the same mixture of inert gases that minutely undergo nuclear transmutation with each explosion. Every few months the gas will need to be replaced but at a very low cost compared to gasoline and without any pollution whatsoever. It can be said that the future will be so bright; you might want to wear shades. For references please see online. Tesla further went on to state, “With its full development and a perfect system of wireless transmission of our energy to any distance, man will be able to solve all the problems of material existence.” There is also a revitalized and refurbished nuclear industry on the horizon for the near future. Why? Because the nuclear waste problem has been solved. Little attention was paid to the First International Conference on Future Energy, originally scheduled for the U.S. State Department in Washington DC but then forced into a local hotel by official government pressure. However, notably, the only speaker to “pass muster” during the coerced “peer review” was Dr. Paul Brown, whose nuclear remediation discovery was praised by the only physicist on staff at the State Department, Dr. Peter Zimmerman. His company, Nuclear Solutions, used gamma rays (high energy X-rays) to zap mixed nuclear waste by knocking out one neutron on the average through “giant dipole resonance.” The amazing part is that this process was also independently discovered by the Institute for Transuranium Elements overseas a few years later, also with the nuclear material sealed in acrylic while it is treated with a tabletop gamma ray laser. The treated waste has a short half-life of hours or weeks, compared to the originally unacceptable thousands of years. With the demise of the government’s Accelerated Transmutation of Waste (ATW) program, going the same way of the doomed Tokamak, the door opens for

generators. Energy experts and historians of energy agree that as societies advance and complexify, they need more and more concentrated, intense forms of energy, like rocket fuel instead of gasoline. Furthermore, for mobile modern societies of the future, transportation will be pollution-free and versatile. For example, of the several converging trends for getting around, “ultracapacitors” are being developed for electric cars to completely replace batteries. They have lighter weight and ten times the energy density of leadacid batteries. The company to watch is EEStor, a startup from Cedar Park, Texas that is collaborating with Zenn Motor (TSX: ZNN) to roll out new highway speed vehicles by Fall of 2009. In the future energy portfolio, another surprising development is the permanent magnet powered motors, which are an emerging trend bound to come to market. A number of developments, such as the Spiral Wankel Magnetic Motor and other different designs, all point to the use of the “magnetic gradient” in the same way we presently access an electrical voltage or a change in altitude for hydropower. Professor Emeritus Theodore Loder of the University of New Hampshire is a pioneer in the field and presented

Sold a Lie From page 7

going to do with it? Since it’s special and quite unique - isn’t it logical that we would want to do something special and unique with it? Once we see we’ve been sold a lie, our next logical realization is to recognize that it’s a massive waste of this one life we have, to pretend we can ignore reality. It is then that the possibility of something altogether different entering the arena, makes its unexpected debut. “My God” it says “I want to live!” “I want to confront this lie head-on and cease running away from it!” And that is a truly revolutionary happening; one which can – in an instant – change our entire outlook on life. For although it’s only a beginning, it’s a real beginning, one full of promise for what might follow. Looking back at the crazed and confused scenes taking place on the world stage, shifting like tides between high melodrama and low bestiality, we can now see that it is no use trying to paper-over the cracks and pretend that we can go on living life ‘as usual’. The cracks are the dominant factor and what lies in between is so insubstantial as to be of no practical use. Our only way forward is to invent a new future. Open a fresh page in the book of life. Not ignoring the past, but getting to grips with understanding it - and then bringing it with us on the great new journey upon which one has embarked. Let a newfound passion lead the way. Let intuition be your guide. Let awareness be your toolbox. If you had identified yourself with any facet of the crumbling status quo, you will soon find yourself untethered, because there is nothing left able to hold a stake to which you can attach yourself. There is nowhere left to turn except into your own inner resources. For it is from this region that the new vision emerges. That place

where truth still resides, untrammelled by the ways of the world. And then, on peering ever deeper within, one can begin to see the emerging presence of another world altogether. A world awaiting birth. Longing for birth. Waiting to be born. A world shimmering with expectation and excitement. A world lit-up by luminous energies. Men and women alike give birth to this great entity. It does not require a womb or a phallus, although it’s composition embraces the essence of female and male, finally liberated to give full focus to the building of the new society that it is our imperative to create. Now is the time to set aside all that would try to close the window on our true destinies. Here is where we will find the footings, the solid ground, from which we can start building the World to Come. A place to carry us through the storm that cannot be by-passed. That is our true work from now on. The mad actors who strut the world stage today do not realize that they are playingout the final scene of an apocalyptic epic. A drama devised and directed by the architects of control. Criminals, whose full exposure is ever closer at hand. We are moving into an auspicious time. A time in which mankind frees itself from the prison that has for so long held it hostage; an event that will break the cords of fear-induced captivity and finally bring down the curtain on this devious age of deception.

Once we see we’ve been sold a lie, our next logical realization is to recognize that it’s a massive waste of this one life we have, to pretend we can ignore reality.

way around. Garden or abattoir. One cannot farm and not be farmed, cannot be love and not be loved, cannot kill and not be killed, cannot consume and not be consumed. Let me break it down for you folks, real simple like. We get what we give. Been said before, will be said again, even follows one of the laws of physics and is a demonstrably verifiable truth. This pivotal energetic truth, a truth about energy, is key, and now you have it too, you probably always did. Turbo Flux. Turbo: spinning top, whirl, having or driven by a turbine; a turbine: a machine for producing continuous power in which a wheel or rotor, typically fitted with vanes, is made to revolve by a fast-moving flow of water, steam, gas, air, or other fluid. Flux: continuous change. We, and all of Life, are powered by the flow of continuous change. Why not embrace this awesome principle that is at the core of everything around us and inside us? There’s your zero point energy, your

Fulvic Acid has been discovered to be perpetual motion device. Look around at the crazy-crazy dream we continually empower.
