Fear is a decision we make that we can’t take care of ourselves. Once we’ve decided that, it opens the door for harm to enter our lives. By Bronte Baxter

person determined to examine their programming and figure out the truth about the world is an adventurer. Like explorations in the physical world, those in mind or spirit can be laced with surprises and challenges, even dangers. But the person intent on truth is willing to face them, trusting in something within to show them the way. I want to write today about that something. When cherished beliefs are assaulted by new knowledge, the foundations of our world take the hit. That means the foundations of our psyche itself, because that is where our deepest beliefs are structured, deep in subconscious mind. I don’t think a person can question and explore reality without feeling shaken, even shattered, from time to time, and I want to talk about how I personally deal with that. Because the ability to deal with that determines whether we move forward in our quest or turn tail and beat it back to base camp, trying to block out what we heard and saw in the forest. How deep does the rabbit hole go? We still don’t know. Those of us who research the secrets of the elitist global agenda have not yet reached the end of it. I still get shaken from things I sometimes find. Here is how I deal with that experience. I know I have a choice, whether to accept fear or whether to trust myself and the essential goodness in the universe. No one can harm me without my tacit permission, and I give that permission when I get into fear. Fear is a decision we make that we can’t take care of ourselves. Once we’ve decided that, it opens the door for harm to enter our lives. Subconscious permission counts as permission, and that’s why the manipulators of this dimension go to such lengths to secure ours. Through religion, schooling, news and entertainment, we are programmed to accept ideas that take away our natural autonomy and empowerment. We’re taught that we are born into sin, or that we’re born into ignorance. We’re told we’re selfish and greedy, and that ego identification (cherishing our individuality) is the root of all suffering. We’re told we must forfeit freedoms so we can have safety and justice. We’re told the world is a dangerous place and only governments, rules and restrictions can protect us: the bigger they are, the better the protection. The more we accept these ideas, the

When Deepest Cherished Beliefs more fear takes over our subconscious minds in the form of deep-seated attitudes that tell us we can’t trust ourselves, and that we are little and powerless. By the time we are adults, our subconscious is in a pretty saturated state of self-doubt, which is why our conscious mind builds so many cathedrals to things outside ourselves that we trust to take care of us and explain the world to us. Spiritual teachers, religious leaders, charismatic politicians, celebrities – we let what they say determine what is real and what is right. Because we have no faith in our ability to know what is real and right for ourselves. That’s unconscious fear, and that attitude is what our manipulators manipulate us through. If it weren’t there, they couldn’t touch us. It’s that subconscious acceptance of ourselves as lacking that keeps the door open to entities outside ourselves messing with us. What’s the solution? I think, to really examine who we are. To really look at

what we’re made of. At bottom, I find I’m a consciousness, a unique spiritual identity empowered with perception and creativity. I am unique and at the same time totally one with the wholeness of consciousness, the First Consciousness, in which all individual consciousness is structured and of which it is made. Where is the lack? Where is the ignorance, selfishness, and greed that we have been told we are? Those lame concepts are only attitudes we have picked up about ourselves, not our inner reality. Before consciousness doubted itself, it was complete and perfect. That little thought, “but what if maybe I’m not?” was the seed thought that started all the chaos and suffering in the universe. It’s nothing but a wisp of fear, and it is unfounded. How can we be rightfully afraid when we are infinite, when our very consciousness is the stuff of creation, and a manager of creation? The belief that fear is founded is

Subconscious permission counts as permission, and that’s why the manipulators of this dimension go to such lengths to secure ours.

the ultimate illusion. When we unseat that attitude from our subconscious, through thoughtful examination of who we really are, followed by emotional acceptance of that wonderful reality, there’s nothing to be afraid of anymore. We have found a storehouse of power and goodness within ourselves, and that is our new home base. The place we go back to when life starts to overwhelm us again. Life cannot be scary when you know what you are made of. You can relinquish your worship of middlemen who claim they will take you to God, or that they are God, once you know you are God as much as anybody else could ever be. You have direct access to the Source, because you’re a child of the Source and part of the Source. Dogmas and beliefs you previously fell for, you can let go of now. You’re equipped for the adventure of living, and nothing can deflect you from your consistent talent for self-referral. Your personhood, established in your Source, is the authority you run things by. Nothing outside can program you again. When I start to feel shaken by what’s going on the world, or what I’m finding in my research, this is what I go back to that always sustains me. Manipulating entities can’t mess with me, because I don’t give them permission. If I fall into temporary self-doubt and fear, thereby opening the door to their return in the realm of my thoughts, I have only to remember what I am, and they are ousted. It’s easy, once I self-examine and remember. Then the power of the Source, its creativity and joy, flow into me again. While the thought demons sit on the sidelines wondering, “How the heck does she do that?” When I encounter new information that shakes my current paradigm and whispers I may need to let go of another belief, I take a deep breath and say, “I can survive that.” My beliefs are not who I am, they’re something I own. And I want to clear out any that don’t correctly match the nature of the universe. This puzzle-piecing business requires lots of paradigm revision. When that starts to feel scary, I focus again on who I am and re-experience that inner reality. Then I can handle anything. “We are the key to the universe.”

Opposing Forces

W

e are our greatest adversary. Our tendency is to emulate doubt, fear, indifference and self-sabotage. We demonize authenticity, accountability, integrity and purpose because we are programmed by the social dysfunctions of arrogance, egocentricity and self-righteousness. We obsessively analyze and dismiss most of our opportunities because they do not fit our desired perception of how we believe they should be. Every day we assassinate more often than empower ourselves. Our societal conditioning suppresses our consciousness, evolution and transformation.

Life in Illusion

Reality is not real. It is an archaic social deception designed to amuse, distract, entertain and preoccupy us from becoming extraordinary beings. Every day we are beholden to abide by and sponsor the commandments of society. Yet, it is an instinctual and intellectual prison for our emotions, intuition and soul. The more we accept and conform to the parameters of reality, the more we comply and surrender to it. Eventually we begin to believe embodying and enabling a lie is easier than creating and becoming our truth. In a world of illusion, what is true is often perceived as an inconvenience.

The Opportunity of Fear

Fear is the destroyer of worlds. It impacts and influences us on a cellular level of being. Because we do not possess an equivalent consciousness, we are unable to conquer let alone identify our own fear. It is an inevitable dance with the enigma of our existence. One that seemingly eludes our every intention. Fear becomes a part of our nature and experience. The very thought of it passes a debilitating impression upon us long before we are aware of its presence. Fear is simply our unconscious interpretation of raw energy yet to be transformed into our personal power.

Spark to a Flame

There are many instances in our lives when we are given opportunities to live our

Page 3

The Will to Serve

Transcendental Shift destined path. These occasions are happening in every moment of the present. It is our choice to acknowledge and claim them as they transpire. Though it is not feasible to fulfill on every prospect we encounter, these experiences empower and inspire us toward a life we love. They are most evident in the expression of our contentment, happiness and the difference we choose to make. The spark of our vision ignites our intention to reveal infinite possibilities for the manifestation of our purpose.

Flame to a Fire

Our passion is the expression of our power. Whatever kindles our desire and will to evolve and transform sources our being. When our heart, mind and body are

feelings and insights. The quality of our consciousness accelerates and expands all we express into the world. We are universal ambassadors personifying energy. “Energy is the currency of consciousness.”

Stroke of Insight

Revelation is the mother of transformation. When we shift our perception from the ordinary to the extraordinary, our experience is expanded by the expression of our consciousness. Freedom from our everyday life requires us to release the known of our existence and become aware of the infinite, ever-present possibilities. Everything we already understand of ourselves and the world only inhibits our full potential. Our opportunities are only as diverse as we perceive and intend them to be. We must be willing to step out of the image we portray and the reality we adopt to become multidimensional beings.

Power of Authenticity

in alignment with our intention, our intuition connects us with our soul and the eternal, infinite energy of the universe. Possibility emanates from the synergy of our multidimensionality. How, why and who we are being is the essence of our instincts, thoughts,

We shift our experience when we are being authentic. This is almost impossible in a superficial, social reality. Authenticity has become a pastime practiced most often in exclusive company. Yet, it is at the heart of our transformation. Personal power is not expressed by our criticism, judgment and opinion of others. True integrity and vision

Many are called, yet few are chosen. Leadership isn’t about authority, dictation or management. The true expression of how we lead is found in the measure of our service to the world and how we empower others to claim their own. There is nothing more gratifying than making a difference. This inevitably creates an enriching social reaction of evolution, good will and purpose, inspiring others to experience the fulfillment service provides. We are not just born to achieve our own agenda, need, want or survival. We truly thrive when we choose to share our unique contribution with the intention of transforming the consciousness of humanity.

Transcendance

There is an energetic flow to everything at every time in every experience. The dynamics vary dependent upon our circumstance and our awareness. However, we always have an opportunity to shift our being according to the present so we may rise above the chaotic, dense and destructive frequencies to embrace those that are conscious, positive and progressive. It is not something we can encounter merely with our instinct or intellect. It is something we feel with our heart and intuit with our soul. We are always at the center of our experience. Therefore, we have the power to transcend and transform.

True Emanation

We are a soul empowering our life through the experiences of our heart, mind and body. Our intuition is a multi-dimensional pathway that connects our consciousness with the world and the universe. We are a lightning bolt of energy expressing our soul into reality and transforming it with our creativity. We are a bridge of potentiality sourcing our experience by who we choose to be. The totality of our being is the instrument through which we cause our personal shift. All of us are developing and transitioning ourselves into our universality. Our life is an opportunity to express our soul and become who we are meant to be. “Enlightenment is consciousness of being.”

hen Lovena Harvey returns from her company’s Campbell River office to her Cortes Island home, there’s usually a piping hot bath waiting for her. Sounds nice, right? But wait, it gets even better. The bath that Lovena’s husband, Ryan, draws for her is outside, under some giant, fragrant cedars, and heated from beneath by a blazing fire. “Being able to unwind in our outdoor tub, smelling the wood smoke and cedar and staring at the stars is just phenomenal,” says Lovena. “It immediately grounds me to this place where we live and deeply connects me to the land.” Certainly, this isn’t your average hot bath and the owners of Gathering Place Trading don’t live your average life. From being homesteaders who grow most of their own food to business owners who dare to do business differently, the “Adults don’t Harvey’s are definitely carving out always have all their own path. They arrived on the island with a vision: to buy land and build community. And that’s just what they’ve done. They purchased 22 acres of land with three other families, forming a small intentional community where all the children were homeschooled. “We’ve been able to give our children the gift to freely roam, build shelters and forts, sleep in a cave over night, and learn from the land,” she says. In a world where many children are behind desks and screens all day long, this kind of childhood seems idyllic indeed. At the same time that their children have grown, so has their business! Gathering Place Trading launched 15 years ago with a single product loose Rooibos tea from Ryan’s homeland. It has since transformed into an international importer of dozens of quality food products. environmental and fair trade policies. They also take the term “family business” seriously, bringing their children on sourcing trips to South Africa, India, and Asia. “It’s been the best kind of education,” says Lovena. “Our kids have always helped in the garden, in our home, and with the business. We see it as a tremendous advantage for everyone.” Lovena says she is no longer surprised when her kids come up with a better idea than the adults in the room. “Adults don’t always have all the answers,” she laughs. “Trust your kids. There’s an innate knowing that children have and they often suggest great solutions.” Lovena adds that this really surfaces when the family travels together. “You need to rely on each other when you travel – it’s been very unifying for our family and has really deepened our bonds to each other.” Growing their own food is one of the other things that the Harvey family does together. In addition to producing the rosemary and bay leaf for customers who buy their Canadian culinary herbs, they grow most of their own food and have created an edible landscape that they proudly call their own “food forest.” Their beautiful, well-tended organic garden beds contain almost any vegetable you can think of, plus fruit trees and a variety of berry bushes. At all times of year, the Harveys have fruit abundance, in the form of apples, cherries, pears, peaches, figs, grapes, blueberries, raspberries and a myriad of lesser known berries (gooseberries, logan berries, honey berries, and boisin berries). Known as “the Berry Master” among family and friends, Ryan is the brains behind the berries. “He’s done so much research and also has an innate sense of what the berries need and how they want to grow,” says Lovena. “Every year he focuses on increasing his skill, doing proper pruning, and is always expanding his patches.” A gardening risk-taker, Ryan has also successfully nurtured the growth of plants that usually only produce fruit in hotter climates, including kiwi and pomegranate. “We started out as organic farmers and it’s such a joy, and a continual adventure, to nurture this part of our lives,” says Lovena. Putting quality of life before business growth is a value all of the Harvey’s hold dear and one of the main reasons why they continue to live on Cortes, despite the fact that their company’s main operation site is now in Campbell River. Even though their youngest child is now attending high school in Campbell River, and in some ways it would be easier to live there full-time, the entire family is in agreement that Cortes is home. Even their eldest, who goes to University in Squamish, is returning home this spring to follow in her parents’ entrepreneurial footsteps and run her own kayak company - Misty Isles Adventures. “The community of Cortes embraced us when we first moved here and has continued to accompany us through all the events of our life. This is still a place where people bring you meals when you have a baby and rally around you when there’s a death or a fire.” In fact, Lovena and Ryan experienced this generosity first hand six years ago when they had a serious car accident that derailed their life for many months. “People made us meals, stacked our wood, bought us groceries, and helped with our kids. It’s just an incredibly caring, close knit community.” On the Cortes Ferry on a Monday morning, parts of this community are heading off island to school or work, visiting together and catching up on island news. This is a very different commute than most Canadians. Commuter highlights from Cortes to Campbell River include being escorted by an entire pod of Pacific white-sided dolphins and sighting humpback and orca whales. These moments of wonder and connection add to the feeling of gratitude that Lovena and her family feel. “In a world where it’s becoming harder and harder to unplug, we feel very lucky,” she says. “Life is just simpler on Cortes.” Renée Hartleib, writer. writing coach, 902.422.1693 , halifax. nova scotia www.reneehartleib.ca www.gatheringplacetrading.com

o here’s what’s new with The New Agora: we can finally say that our online presence is a go, and a good one at that. Our new website, welltended with daily updates and ongoing improvements, is able to present and feature articles, news and other information equal to producing our monthly print magazine every week, and we’re just getting started. Digitally increasing the quantity of what we are able to share certainly has its advantages. Covering greater ground overall and doing so literally in moments as events occur, develop and fructify is, simply put, an evolution of an exciting magnitude.; particularly in comparison to the arduous, lengthy, shockingly expensive and quite frankly limiting medium of print. We love print, we love being in print, and we love printing the New Agora. However when you actually experience the fragility of its power…I remember when we had one of Autumn Sky Morrison’s beautiful paintings gracing our cover, on it a lovely woman weeping life into her hands, surrounded by barren lands all around, her nakedness mythic, powerful, a message no doubt…well, an ‘exposed’ nipple was enough to send some readers under the covers for shame but not before one of them complained so loudly that it frightened away one of our choice distribution spots, or rather so frightened the manager ‘in charge’ with the imagined loss of income from such a daring scandal as having a natural human being, a painting of one mind you, rendered there on the cover for all to see! Amazing. Eventually other readers complained about the paper no longer being available there and sanity was restored, only for the moment surely and only a thin veneer of it no doubt. However the lesson was learned. One crazy added to one coward and it’s enough to close your shop, shut down your opportunity to help others, to share important information. That makes for a fragile equation. Thank goodness for the vociferousness of those loyal readers who loudly claimed “No Way! We love The New Agora!” Well, we do too. We kept printing past that obstacle, through many others, they never seemed to end really, but so Page 5

What’s New with The New Agora! it goes when you dedicate your time and energy to something as unpopular as truth and freedom and helping others. And so print is precarious, delicately balanced on the understandable self-interest and motivation of our advertisers, the folks and businesses that host the paper, and the readers, however mad, glad, sad or bad they might be in the moment. Moments pass and people grow and we all make mistakes, often times we even learn from them. With our timely expansion into the digital realm we’re now finally able to throw out other people’s limitations on what we’re ‘allowed’ to share. Hence quality is improved. This really says it all. I’m even bending the rules of good writing and paragraphing just to illustrate it. What we couldn’t do in print because of size restrictions, financial and physical, we are now able to offer you in information and opportunity, ongoing and immediate. If ‘Our Currency is Truth’, and it is, then our flow is presently inexhaustible. We are all rich beyond imagining. And how awesome is that? Let’s spend this tremendous wealth together and with it gain purchase on new possibilities for ourselves. Let’s procure ways out of this box they’ve prepared for us in all their grave seriousness, and let’s do so with the best tools at our disposal: our imaginations and our courage, our inventiveness and creativity, our fierce love and omnific drive to come up with something better than what these doom-bound fearful nutters have in store for us and our beautiful world. In print we’re a tiny spigot, the tip of an iceberg, a promise of more really. Online that changes completely. Put together it’s a creative formula for success. For the longest time I resisted what I perceived as going backwards into a medium that I felt wasn’t really such a great thing for us as loving

representatives of life. Not being the biggest fan of artificiality, I was proud of ‘backwards engineering’ the amazing work so many were generating digitally and putting it into print for others to enjoy and benefit from. And I still am. We’ll continue to do so in print as long as the support is there, no worries. But now we’ve come full circle. The two ends meet, the material world of print and the more abstract one online, not only so we can make our own ‘ends’ do the same, but also because it is absolutely the right course of action for what it is we do and the times in which we live. As I write these words our reach is worldwide and we are utterly liberated to do our best with that very freedom. Online, alongside of our archived issues covering the many years of our print publication, as well as offering videos and articles that we’ve collated throughout these interesting times, we offer an ongoing ‘virtual’ magazine that changes moment by moment, freshly updated with intelligently curated material to encourage the evolution of consciousness, and to give some much needed topical and current ‘heads up’ for those with eyes to see, ears to hear and hearts to feel, etc. Online we’ve created a virtual agora

as well, our Agora Marketplace, where we invite those with businesses and services, artists, writers, makers of all kinds, and so on to come and publicize themselves, thereby making all our lives the better for knowing that they exist and that good people are about the business of doing good things for one another. Our Agora Meeting-place is next, an opportunity for our ‘readers’ to comer together and interact with one another. Knowledge is strength. Knowledge in action is wisdom. Wisdom blooming is where we’re headed. Which brings us to the third point in all this whereas our digital presence is concerned, and as to what we’re really here accomplishing together. Online we’ve also dedicated an integral part of our enterprise to focus and direct our energies and attention towards articulating and expressing, from our very own personal perspectives our actual evolution. We’ve titled it The New Now because that’s the intent of our manifestation. I’m using broad stokes here because it’s still a bit of a tabula rasa (clean slate), a most excellent place to start. However if we’re speaking your language the door is open for your participation here as well, please consider this an invitation sent. So, come see what’s going on, find something there to inspire yourself with, to free yourself, to inform yourself, to help yourself and possibly others with too. And, maybe, if so moved, participate! Cheers, Lorenzo and Fredalupe!

he National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) has launched efforts to create a vaccine that would protect people from most flu strains, all at once, with a single shot. Over the years, I’ve written many articles refuting claims that vaccines are safe and effective, but we’ll put all that aside for the moment and follow the bouncing ball. Massachusetts Senator and big spender, Ed Markey, has introduced a bill that would shovel no less than a billion dollars toward the universal flu-vaccine project. You like something, it sounds good, you know nothing about the details, throw money at it. Here is a paragraph from an NIAID press release that mentions one of several research approaches: “NIAID Vaccine Research Center scientists have initiated Phase 1/2 studies of a universal flu vaccine strategy that includes an investigational DNA-based vaccine (called a DNA ‘prime’)…” This is quite troubling, if you know what the phrase “DNA vaccine” means. It refers to what the experts are touting as the next generation of immunizations. Instead of injecting a piece of a virus into a person, in order to stimulate the immune system, synthesized genes would be shot into the body. This isn’t traditional vaccination anymore. It’s “protective gene therapy”. In any such method, where genes are edited, deleted, added, no matter what the pros say, there are always “unintended consequences,” to use their polite phrase. The ripple effects scramble the genetic structure in numerous unknown ways. Here is the inconvenient truth about

Page 6

A Universal Flu Vaccine The Mad Science Solution

DNA vaccines— They will permanently alter your DNA The reference is the New York Times, 3/9/15, “Protection Without a Vaccine.” It describes the frontier of research—the use of synthetic genes to “protect against disease,” while changing the genetic makeup of humans. This is not science fiction: “By delivering synthetic genes into the muscles of the [experimental] monkeys, the scientists are essentially re-engineering the animals to resist disease.” “’The sky’s the limit,’ said Michael Farzan, an immunologist at Scripps and lead author of the new study.” “The first human trial based on this strategy — called immunoprophylaxis by gene transfer, or I.G.T. — is underway, and several new ones are planned.” [That was three years ago.] “I.G.T. is altogether different from traditional vaccination. It is instead a form of gene therapy. Scientists isolate the genes that

produce powerful antibodies against certain diseases and then synthesize artificial versions. The genes are placed into viruses and injected into human tissue, usually muscle.” Here is the punchline: “The viruses invade human cells with their DNA payloads, and the synthetic gene is incorporated into the recipient’s own DNA. If all goes well, the new genes instruct the cells to begin manufacturing powerful antibodies.” Read that again: “the synthetic gene is incorporated into the recipient’s own DNA.” Alteration of the human genetic makeup. Not just a “visit.” Permanent residence. And once a person’s DNA is changed, he will live with that change—and all the ripple effects in his genetic makeup—for the rest of his life. The Times article taps Dr. David Baltimore for an opinion: “Still, Dr. Baltimore says that he envisions that some people might be leery of a vaccination strategy that means altering their own DNA, even if it prevents a potentially fatal disease.” Yes, some people might be leery. If they have two or three working brain cells. This is genetic roulette with a loaded gun. Anyone and everyone on Earth injected with a DNA vaccine will undergo permanent and unknown genetic changes…

And the further implications are clear. Vaccines can be used as a cover for the injections of any and all genes, whose actual purpose is re-engineering humans in farreaching ways. If you’re going to alter humans, for example, to make many of them more docile and weak, and some of them stronger, in order to restructure society, you want everyone under the umbrella. No exceptions. No exemptions. The emergence of this Frankenstein technology is paralleled by a shrill push to mandate vaccines, across the board, for both children and adults. The pressure and propaganda are planet-wide. The freedom and the right to refuse vaccines has always been vital. It is more vital than ever now. It means the right to preserve your inherent DNA. How Medicinal Mushrooms Keep You Strong Even If You’re Constantly Stressed By Ellaine Castillo www.naturalnews.com

M

ushrooms have a long and well-documented history when it comes to their use in alternative medicine. The first people to acknowledge their therapeutic potential were the Chinese, who used them as natural remedies for diseases such as cancer, infertility, and posttraumatic stress disorders. Recently, more people are recognizing their use in keeping the body healthy in times of stress. Something that all medicinal mushrooms have in common is that they possess adaptogenic properties, which primarily involves regulating cortisol levels. This stress hormone is helpful in the short-term, but if it’s produced for extended periods, it can start wreaking havoc on your body. The following are ways through which stress affects a person’s health and how medicinal mushrooms can help: One of the main problems that people experience when they’re feeling stressed or anxious is the inability to fall asleep. This often happens because the brain is working on overdrive, so it’s unable to provide a sense of peace and calmness that’s essential not just to fall asleep but to stay asleep as well. A lack of sleep will make a person more stressed since it interferes with their health and their daily activities. This contributes to a cycle that can only be broken if you reduce your stress levels or achieve better sleep. We recommend that you address this issue with the medicinal mushroom called reishi. Reishi, also known as “the mushroom of immortality,” is commonly used in traditional Chinese medicine utilize to improve spiritual potency, well-being, and longevity. To enjoy

Page 7

these benefits, they often consumed the mushroom in tea form due to its bitter and woody taste. Recently, studies have shown that these applications are possible due to the presence of nutrients like calcium, magnesium, and antioxidants that calm and support the nervous system by reducing oxidative damage. Because of its benefits on the nervous system, reishi is also recommended for those who want to achieve better sleep quality, calm the mind, and treat insomnia. So if you’ve been under a lot of stress and it’s been interfering with your sleep then try drinking a cup of reishi tea a few minutes before bed so you can sleep like a baby. 100% organic essential oil sets now available for your home and personal care, including Rosemary, Oregano, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Clary Sage and more, all 100% organic and laboratory tested for safety. topical first aid. See the complete listing here, and help support this news site. When the body is always under stress, an increase in inflammation is also observed. This leads to an increased risk of health problems, such as depression, neurodegenerative disease, obesity, diabetes, and cancer. One way to address systemic inflammation is by using medicinal mushrooms since most of these have anti-inflammatory properties. The chaga mushroom, which is rich in fiber and antioxidants, is especially helpful since it is effective against stress-induced systemic inflammation. It works by reducing the production of the stress hormone cortisol and reducing inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract. These show that chaga is great for people who are stressed, especially if they suffer from irritable bowel syndrome. Another way through which stress can

affect your everyday life is by interfering with cognitive functions. This leads to problems like memory loss, brain fog, mental exhaustion, and poor concentration, which is why it’s important to stay calm during exams or intense workweeks. To avoid these problems, you can make use of cordyceps mushrooms that can reduce cortisol levels and consequently lower stress response. Moreover, it also increases oxygen uptake so that the body, especially the brain, gets an adequate supply for it to perform its normal functions. Alternatively, lion’s mane mushrooms can also be used to improve overall cognitive function during periods of stress. This medicinal mushroom works by stimulating the production of nerve growth factor (NGF). This neuropeptide plays a role in the maintenance and growth of neurons that relay information to and from the brain. Because of this, researchers also looked at the potential use of lion’s mane as a natural remedy for Alzheimer’s and dementia. Studies showed that to maximize the cognitive boosting effects of this mushroom, you have to take it regularly for a long period, so it’s not something that you take only in times of stress. With the help of these medicinal mushrooms, you can easily find relief from the stress of daily life. (Related: Battling Stress with These 8 Super Foods that Nourish the Brain.) 5G and GMO — Partners in Genocide By Julian Rose

e know that the genetic engineering of the plant and animal kingdom alters their DNA, and it does the same to those who regularly ingest GM foods. People, animals, fish, insects and plants that absorb or are cross contaminated by other genetically modified species, are the victims of the recombinant DNA laboratory techniques used in genetic engineering. It’s not for nothing that the engineered produce that emerges out of this process earned the title ‘Frankenstein Food’. But, as GMO hit the fields, another Frankenstein was in development that was to have its own special set of devastating consequences for life on this planet: Electro Magnetic Frequencies (EMF). This synthetic form of pulsed electricity started its life as a military/ secret service weapon, using microwave frequencies to penetrate buildings and spy on human activities. We now know that both GMO and EMF come from the same stable and that both are being used as ‘intentional’ weapons of biological destabilization. There is no chance that (EMF) technologies capable of such drastic alteration to the genome responsible for the propagation of life on Earth, were commercialized simply to provide people with convenient pocket-sized wireless communication tools and ‘Flavor Saver’ tomatoes GMO and 5G share the same basic goal:

to alter living matter in such a way as to exert 100% control over it. In the case of GMO, for example, genetically altering the DNA of maize, soya, cotton or a tomato, so they can be sprayed with the toxic herbicide glyphosate (Roundup) – and remain unaffected – while the weeds around them shrivel to the ground and die. In human terms, this technique is

called eugenics. Keeping the traits you want and killing off the rest. A practice the Nazi party promoted in World War Two for the perpetuation of a ‘pure’ Aryan race, free from any ‘racial impurities’. A movement that already existed in the USA under the auspices of the American Eugenics Society during the 1920’s and 30’s. The EMF known as 5G, starts from the same basic premise, but moves from eugenics into genocide. The microwave pulses emitted by EMF already form the foundation of 2G,

3G, 4G telecommunications and of Wi-Fi. Scientists now have irrefutable evidence that these pulses (resonances) denature and distort the cellular composition and DNA of living matter. 5G shortens the resonance spaces into millimeter pulses and raises the output by a factor of at least ten; so that being within their range has been compared to being closed in an activated microwave oven. Wi-Fi and cell phone tower microwave transmissions are nontargeted; they are delivered as ‘broad spectrum’; just like the agrochemical herbicides that kill every living plant and most soil organisms they hit too. They are blanket attacks on nature and man, and the Wi-Fi is tuned to wavelengths almost identical to the natural vibrational levels received by the human brain. Thus their operators can exert a direct controlling influence over the thought and behavioural patterns of those in the firing line; and these days, that is all of us. And of course, people are unaware that this is happening to them. Wi-Fi and electromagnetic microwaves were developed as secretive weapons of war in the 1950’s. ‘Silent weapons for quiet wars’ as their promoters described them, in the course of US military defence programs secretively rolled-out during the cold war period of standoff between Russia and the USA. Scientific minds engaged in single pointed deliverance of a weapons system, do not concern themselves with the effect their products have on human animal and

ecological life. They accept lucrative contracts that are designed to keep them quiet, while superpower government defence agencies demand ever more ‘effective’ technologies to maintain their domination over world events. So when you place your cell-phone next to your ear, remember it’s a weapon and not a harmless plaything. In mainstream commercial agriculture the same ethos is practiced. Plant breeding R&D is paid for by agribusiness corporations determined to dominate and control, in a global market centred around supplying super and hypermarket chains, animal feed conglomerates and raw material processing units. When you place your cell-phone next to your ear, remember it’s a weapon and not a harmless plaything. engineering the staple dietary commodities enables a corporation to patent - and therefore ‘own’ – the plant genome. In this way, the corporate body exerts a despotic power over planetary diversity, reducing the soils of fields in which their crops are sown, to a sterile waste land, in which just one patented crop stands - while everything around it is poisoned to death. This is called ‘ecocide’. Thus we can add ecocide to eugenics in defining the practice of corporate agriculture under the auspices of such names as Monsanto, Bayer and Cargill. And indeed, research the background of corporations at the forefront of global agribusiness and you will find that many have military origins and war related agendas. The war on nature is at least as drastic to the future of the planet as is the war on mankind. GM foods and all monoculturally raised mass produced supermarket foods, are treated by agrochemical pesticides known for their toxic biological impacts; including malignant neuro-degenerative, reproductive,

carcinogenic, respiratory and metabolic disorders in humans. And if that wasn’t bad enough they also, as I mentioned earlier, sterilize the soil of living matter, rendering it largely lifeless. Wi-Fi does its life diminishing sterilization from above. During the coming two years (2019/2020) the proposed 5G roll-out is to include the launching of 20,000 satellites whose multi targeting antennae – known as ‘phased arrays’ – will steadily irradiate (industry states: ‘will provide lag free internet’) ‘every square inch of the planet’, with electromagnetic microwaves beamed from the edge of space. Common to both GMO and 5G, is a continuation of the process of rendering nature – and indeed man – a slave to the insatiable corporate appetite for profit, power and control. Both GMO and EMF are tools for rendering the planet inhospitable to humanity and devoid of natural diversity of flora and fauna, essential for the health and welfare of us all. Ultimately rendering this planet as a place only suited to those who feel no empathy, no compassion and no sense of belonging. For, let us be clear, this is the actual psychological state of mind of those who are attempting to block humanity from developing its creative essence and spiritual aspirations. Block these unique gifts, so as to put in place a robotic substitute entirely devoid of free will and emotion. The cyborg. We need to recognize that inhuman minds

are behind inhuman technologies. Just think of the tens of thousands who have suffered a cruel fate under the commercial villainy of Monsanto over the past decades. With its asbestos, agent orange and aspartame – well before toxic GM soya beans ever saw the light of day. Its marriage to ex Nazi Bayer Corporation, reveals

common fascistic ideologies. These same ideologies fuel the ambitions of politicians, media tycoons, bankers, corporate executives, technocrats and military hegemonists who rule the world today. The proposed 20,000 5G satellite global microwaving exercise, which threatens all life on Earth, goes even further. It is a display of cold, calculating megalomania on the part of its ‘Star Link’ backers. It displays, in many respects, ambitions that are a mirror image of the corporate GMO gene splicer’s stated

intention of dominating planetary agriculture. But 5G Wi-Fi exponents have their eyes on controlling the input and output of ‘the internet of things’ – thereby designing and controlling the matrix of daily life. Google, Facebook and other social media operatives are at work on this agenda as I write. Until now, many have fought-shy of recognizing the dark-side agenda that underpins such operations. But the time is soon coming when a critical mass of individuals will realize that the sinister manipulation of planet Earth and its inhabitants, by a tiny ascendant corporate cabal, would never have been possible without the unspoken complicity of around 95% of humanity. And if you and I look carefully, we will find our own contribution in there too. None of us are outside ‘the system’. But more and more of us are at least waking-up to an admission of our duplicity/hypocrisy; and that is a crucial step in the process of liberation. The next step is to act on one’s newfound knowledge. Decisively. To become aware – and to not act on this awareness – is a betrayal of the unique gift each of us inherited at birth. It is like consigning one’s life to a prison camp. Don’t do it. From this day forth, get on the front foot ‘in defence of life’ - and never look back! How Raw Honey Could Save Your Microbiome

id you know that there are billions of years of biological information encoded within your cells, and that depending on what you do or do not eat, the information is activated or remains latent? It is a biological fact that the distant past is embedded within the present. No one could have described this more aptly and tangibly than Thich Nhat Han when he said: “If you look deeply into the palm of your hand, you will see your parents and all generations of your ancestors. All of them are alive in this moment. Each is present in your body. You are the continuation of each of these people.” In fact, each cell in your body, along with all the cells in all living creatures on the planet today, derive from a last universal common ancestor (LUCA) estimated to have lived some 3.5 to 3.8 billion years ago in the primordial ocean. While this may strike the reader as an unusual concept, even Charles Darwin acknowledged this phenomenon in Origin of Species (1859)1: “Therefore I should infer from analogy that probably all the organic beings which have ever lived on this earth have descended from some one primordial form, into which

Page 10

life was first breathed.” The germline cells within our bodies (sperm and ovum) represent a quasi-immortal and unbroken biological thread tying us all back, through an almost infinite number of cell replications, to LUCA. These germline cells represent, against all odds, the resilience of biological systems to persist through incalculably vast stretches of time and innumerable vectors of adversity. They are “deathless” relative to somatic cells in that their biological information has been passed down from generation to generation for billions of years without interruption, and that will continue to be passed forward within the successfully conceived progeny of all the species inhabiting this planet today. And so, biological entities are unique insofar as they inhabit the present while containing within themselves information stretching so far back in the distant past as to approach geologic time scales.

The Microbial Basis for Human Identity

Before we delve into nutrition as a form of “microbial time travel,” we must first provide context by taking a brief look

at how our species’ self-definition has been completely transformed by the discovery that we are at least as much “germs” as we are “human.” We now know that we are more microbial than human. Constituted by at least 10 times more bacterial, viral, and fungal cells than actual human cells, we are more accurately described (at least in biological terms) as a “meta-organism” than a hermetically-sealed off body isolated from outside life. Perhaps even more profound is the fact that the total genetic information in our bodies is about 99% microbial in origin, with many of these microbes performing life-sustaining functions for digestion, immunity, and even cognition. Even when we explore only the “private” genetic contribution of our cells, we find that the human genome is about 10% viral (retroviral) in origin, and that “our” mitochondria are actually “alien” in origin: somewhere around 1.5 billion years ago an ancient bacteria entered into symbiotic relationship with our cells to perform both oxygen-detoxifying and energy-producing functions by losing their independence and becoming our mitochondria. When we look at ourselves through

this microbial lens, where we “end” and the living and breathing environment “begins” is no longer as clear as the boundary of our skin. What we eat or expose ourselves chemically, for instance, not only becomes of crucial significance in determining the state of our health and disease risk, but to our very identity. This information is beginning to affect the way we look at ourselves as a species in evolutionary terms. In fact, the hologenome theory of evolution states that we are a “holobiont,” a host whose fate is and always was inseparably bound to all its symbiotic microbes. As with classical evolutionary theory on our how genes evolve, selective pressures from the environment have shaped the types and numbers of microbes that now form the basis for both our health and disease susceptibility. And what are some of the most important “selective pressures” that have gone into creating our holobiont selves over the course of unimaginably vast swaths of time? Dietary, environmental, and cultural ones, of course. When Hippocrates said “we are what we eat,” this was true not only in molecular terms, i.e. the food we eat produces molecular building blocks from which our bodies are constructed, but also in microbial terms, i.e., the microbes we expose ourselves to and cultivate through nutrition affect and/or permanently alter our holobiont selves. Which leads us to the topic of honey and “microbial time travel.”

Honey, Would You Please Pass The Genome?

While we often think of our “cave man” ancestors as being shaped primarily by their “meat-based” diet, and the harnessing of fire for cooking, acquiring and eating honey may have been an equally crucial dietary

determinant in our evolutionary trajectory as well. According to one researcher, Alyssa Crittendeyn, PhD, honey helped make us human: “It appears that the human sweet tooth has a long history in human evolution. New research proposes that honey may have been important in human evolution. Upper Paleolithic (8,000 40,000 years ago) rock art from all around the world depicts images of early humans collecting honey. The images range from figures climbing ladders to access hives residing high in trees to figures smoking out hives filled with honeycomb. Honey and bee larvae are important foods consumed by many populations of hunters and gatherers worldwide. Foragers in Latin America, Asia, Australia, and Africa include honey and bee larvae as major components of their diet. The Hadza hunter-gatherers of Tanzania, the population with whom I work, even list honey as their number one preferred food item!” So, while our ancestors may have consumed honey, what does it have to do with our microbial identity? Honey actually contains a range of beneficial microbes contributed by bees and the plants they forage, including lactic-acid producing bacteria (Lactobacilli), and when eaten raw, may contribute health-promoting strains to our bodies. These bacteria have been identified as indispensable to the immunity of the individuals and the hive as a whole, as well as in affecting the behavior of the different types of bees that inhabit these complex colonies. Considering the possibility of our ancient co-evolutionary relationship with honey, is it possible that our own immune systems and microbial populations share dependency on honey-based microbes? There is no doubt that in a day and age where the previously timeless and unbroken chain of microbial custody between vaginally birthed and exclusively breastfed offspring has

Page 11

been profoundly disrupted, our inner microbial terrain has become completely ravaged. Add to this the daily barrage of food-like but synthetic dietary inputs, along with a battery of antimicrobial toxicants unleashed by the industrial revolution and now festering in the post-industrial chemical soup we are all now immersed in, the intimate link between the human and microbial sides of the holobiont’s multiplicitous identity has all but become irreparably severed. Could honey help heal these wounds? Could eating ancestral foods infused with equally ancient symbiotic bacteria help us recover, and “travel back” in biological time to a far more stable state of health? Could these bacteria and their metabolic byproducts provide epigenetically meaningful information to regulate the expression of our own genome? Could this also explain why honey has been identified to have at least 100 health benefits?

An Age Old Relationship A fascinating study published in PLoS in 2012 might help answer this question. Titled, “Symbionts as major modulators of insect health: lactic acid bacteria and honeybees”, it characterized the diverse and ancient lactic acid bacteria populations of microbiota within the honey crop of honeybees and related species. Amazingly, they discovered species from the Lactobacillus and Bifobacterium genera in these bees that suggest a 80,000,000 year or older history of association. This means that honeybees and their honey may contain bacteria that humans may have maintained contact with and ingested throughout the entire course of their evolution as foragers

of honey, which would also include our prehuman predecessors. Within the confines of their bodies, these insects may have provided an environment for these ancient symbiotic bacteria to survive intact for millions of years, enabling animals (like humans) to periodically replenish their microbiomes through consuming bee products like honey infused with them. Since food is not just “fuel” or “building blocks” for the body, but informational, containing “epigenetic inheritance systems” as real and valid to the expression of our DNA as the primary nucleotide sequences in our genome, this discovery has profound implications. For those whose microbial heritage has been decimated and/or supplanted with genetically altered (via recombinant or chemical induction) food stuffs, eating real, wild-harvested raw honey might re-infuse the body with information and microbes that not only have important health-promoting but are indispensable for the informational integrity of our species identity. This is, of course, not limited to honey. Technically, everything we eat (or do not eat) will affect the trajectory of our health, both individually, and as a species. For example, the present agricultural system carpet-bombs monocultured land with biocides often destroying the profound microbial biodiversity vital to gene-regulatory information and proxy physiological capabilities, i.e. the production of enzymes and anti-microbial factors that our genome itself does not possess. This is why seeming “superstitious” farming practices such as taking wild-soil (from old growth systems) and using it as inoculant in newer

farming land may be so effective at producing vitally nourishing food. These old-growth microbial communities, perhaps a byproduct of millions of years of coevolution, are capable of contributing a wide range of bio-transformed soil metabolites for the plant’s nutritional needs, as well as infusing the edible plants themselves with strains of bacteria, fungi, and even viruses, important to our own health. The American herbalist Paul Schulick once aptly named the interstitial layer of microbial communities within the soil and our gut a “life bridge.” This bridge can be visualized both “spatially” as a physiological bridge which connects our bodies via microbes directly to the Earth, forming an inseparable whole (the holobiont), and temporally, by bridging the gap between the present and the ancient past. One thing is for sure, the more we explore the complexity of human physiology and optimal health, the more mysterious and amazing life appears to be.

ould you eat rubber cement, paint stripper or permanent spot remover? No one in their right mind would eat any of these things willingly, yet millions of us regularly eat a substance found in these products without realizing it – and we could pay the ultimate price for this mistake. The chemical in question is sodium benzoate, and it can be found in many packaged foods. It lengthens the shelf life of these foods, but it actually shortens the lives of people who consume it regularly. Sometimes you’ll see sodium benzoate on an ingredients list accompanied by a phrase like “to preserve freshness.” While it’s certainly good at staving off fungus, yeast, bacteria and mold in food, it’s also quite good at starving your cells of oxygen. As sodium benzoate deprives the cells in your body of oxygen, it compromises your immune system and potentially leads to blood cancer. It also leaches essential nutrients from your body, leading to neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. Sodium benzoate has been banned in the rubber production industry because so many workers who were exposed to it developed leukemia. In food items, it reacts with other chemicals present to cause even bigger problems. For example, it can react with vitamin C and E to create benzene, a known carcinogen. It deprives cellular mitochondria of oxygen, and because the mitochondria are what

energy of this EMF-remediating Structured Water also has the potential to make a beneficial change to the fields generated by EMF emitters.

Check labels and stay far away from sodium benzoate

This Common Food Preservative Deprives Your Cells Of Oxygen And Causes Cellular Damage power cells, the cells are then unable to fight infections and diseases like cancer. In addition, sodium benzoate damages DNA. Europe is looking to ban this chemical entirely, but it is still included regularly in processed food in the U.S. This is despite the fact that drinking water has a strict upper limit of 5 ppb of sodium benzoate. As hard as this may be to believe, food manufacturers are exempt

from the regulation, which means that some sodas contain as much is 100 ppb of benzene. Studies have also linked sodium benzoate to hyperactivity. For example, a placebo-controlled, double-blinded study that was published in the Lancet showed that sodium benzoate in the diet caused an increase in hyperactivity among children aged 3 to 9.

When shopping for food, be sure check the labels for sodium benzoate and stay as far away as you can from products that contain it. It is often found in acidic foods. The chemical can be found in vinegar, jam, salsas, dips, shredded cheese, salad dressings, fruit juice, soy sauce and soda. It can also be found in toothpaste, mouthwash, cosmetics and even cough syrup. By the way, sodium benzoate, which is synthesized in a lab, should not be confused with benzoic acid, which is naturally found in very low levels in many types of fruit. Of course, there’s an easy way you can avoid sodium benzoate, and that is by sticking to natural foods that have not been processed at all. Foods are meant to perish, and anything that artificially extends their life should be viewed with an abundance of skepticism. If you didn’t grow it yourself or have a good idea of who did and what happened to it before it got to your plate, you could be putting your health at risk. sk yourself: would you rather be considered courageous and stupid or cowardly and smart? Sure, the ideal is courageous and smart, but that is rarely an option if you’re wanting to be courageous. Why is it rarely an option? Because doing the smart thing is usually safe and rarely courageous. Because to be considered courageous there needs to be some level of sacrifice involved. Because courage is usually predicated upon doing something where you are afraid, you are outnumbered, you are overwhelmed by the odds, or you are in some kind of danger. Personally, I’d rather be considered courageous and stupid than be a coward sitting up in an ivory tower in my vain smartness judging through insecure hindsight bias. Because there’s a fine line between courage and stupidity, but it usually depends on the resulting social perception of the situation. Think about it: imagine you are in a great battle defending your homeland from violent invaders. Everyone is afraid to confront the enemy, so you decide to courageously jump up and yell, “Today is a good day to die!” and you charge into the fray. If you win the day, you are considered courageous. But if you get shot right away, you are considered stupid. In the result where you win the day

Page 14

beginning of the incident, a male cop unlawfully detains a pregnant woman and then violently assaults her after she challenges his authority. So, you decide to courageously defend her by first giving the cop a verbal warning to stop punching her and, second, by tackling the cop away from her after he doesn’t comply. Can you feel the hindsight bias creeping up in your mind as you go through all the possible outcomes of this scenario? There’s almost no scenario where you are not going to jail, because of the way the justice system is set up, but going to jail doesn’t negate the fact that you were courageous. You faced down danger. The odds were stacked against you. You overcame your fear of authority. Courage; courage; courage. But was your courageous act stupid? Perhaps. Let’s break it down. Let’s say one scenario is that the detainment of the woman ended up being lawful. Let’s say she stole a candy bar. She hid it in her purse. It turns out the cop was justified in his detainment. But, was he justified in his assault? Is there any scenario where he is justified for punching a pregnant woman even if she is slapping away his blows and resisting arrest? Let’s save that for another article… (https://themindunleashed. com/2017/11/neo-cop-bottom-solutionsolving-police-corruption.html)

Crazy Stupid Courage: The Psychology of Grit you are considered a hero and people will commend you for your courage. But in the result where you got shot right out of the gate people (usually “smart” cowards) will say things like: “He should have waited for a better time,” or “What an idiot. He got shot because he didn’t wait for the order to charge,” or “There are rules of engagement and he didn’t follow them, so he got shot.” But, here’s the thing: neither result changes the fact that what you did was a courageous act. Whether you won the day or got shot right away, you were still courageous. It is only people’s hindsight bias that changes things. That’s the power of perceptual psychology. Especially social psychology. It can actually change the way we view history. A biased subjective opinion can change a concrete and objective fact. Scary stuff. But it happens all the time. Every single day our perceptions are being hijacked by our hindsight bias. Here’s another example (this is a tricky one): Imagine you witness, from the

So, you’re sitting in jail and you find out the cop was justified in his detainment. Was your courageous act more or less stupid? Careful now. That hindsight bias can really do a number on your reasoning. Think it through. How could it be more or less stupid? It was courageous regardless of stupidity or smartness. You just did the brave thing of defending a pregnant woman from being beat up for fuck’s sake! Now, I’m sure some of you are reading this thinking, “The author is an idiot. It is always stupid to interfere in a cop’s job. No matter how wrong it seems.” To which I say, “Tough shit! I will still choose stupid-courage over smartcowardice if I’ve determined, through my own reasoning, intuition and moral judgment, that someone physically weaker needed help against someone physically stronger.” Bottom line. Call me, or any other courageous person, stupid if you want to. Our conscience will be clear. Whereas you will always be wondering if you did the right thing (over the smart thing) or not. The psychology of courage and grit isn’t about stupid or smart. It’s about mettle and guts. It’s about forthrightness and honor. It’s about compassion and love. It’s about candor and nerve. It’s about doing the right thing despite cultural conditioning and hindsight bias. Smart and stupid are mostly irrelevant. As the great Robert A. Heinlein stated, “I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do. I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do.” That’s courage.
