reality specifically designed to keep us anxious, engaged and otherwise preoccupied with everything besides our personal destiny. The more we are amused, distracted, or entertained, the less likely we are to transform ourselves and the world. Before we can create or experience our life, it is highjacked by a plethora of stimuli that provokes our reactions of anger, denial, indifference and futility. These aspects of our daily experience hinder our ability to connect and relate with the universe. Eventually we become an invention of mind and body devoid of heart and soul.

“Breathe.” Hollow Pursuits Social reality is an illusion. It is a subjective projection of distraction designed to dismantle our creativity, consciousness and the foundation of our being. Each of us is energetically, emotionally, intellectually and instinctually unique. Therefore, our true expression and destiny in this world is contrary to the nature of society. The density of reality distorts the creative force of our imagination and disrupts our ability to fulfill our personal vision. Most of us are not even present to our purpose or how to manifest it in our lives. There is very little opportunity in contemporary society for our soul to be expressed let alone thrive.
South of Center There is a myriad of elements in social
Primal Instinct Survival is the standard of everyday life. Our innate social nature often dictates a narrow and shallow experience and perception. We are conditioned to exist in chaotic energies of instinctual, intellectual and emotional reactivity. Competition, desperation and selfishness blinds our vision, manipulates our thoughts and corrupts our feelings. It suppresses our enlightened mind and heart, ultimately compromising our relatedness with our intuition and our soul. We assassinate a part of ourselves everyday with our cynicism, fear and uncertainty. Our desire to survive supersedes our ability to thrive.
Smoke and Mirrors Our mind is an intricate forest in which we frequently wander and become lost. Thoughts often activate our sense of anxiety, doubt and irrelevance. Broken dreams and promises haunt our lives. We allow our minds to be polluted with self-condemnation, confusion and suspicion while we invent an inauthentic power and security. Our perceptions of ourselves, others and reality are often twisted into erroneous and fantasized delusions. The shield we wield against the world is the knowledge to which we are attached and conditioned from years of institutionalized education and religion at the cost of our creativity.
Stormy Seas We have yet to scratch the surface of our emotional awareness and expression. Our ego seizes control of our existence and influences us into becoming reactively engaged with and reliant upon social reality. When we do experience emotion, it is often a bi-polar encounter of random highs and frequent lows. We tend to be overwhelmed with feelings of anger, guilt, loss and sadness. Our addiction to and obsession with negative emotions confines us to perpetual cynicism and resignation. It dampens our experience of happiness, love, relatedness and success. The agendas of our mind constantly overpower the possibilities of our heart.
“Feel.” Fire of the Heart The heart is the key to open the gateway of multidimensionality. It emits a powerful electromagnetic energy that mystifies even our imagination. This life-force is the core of our being. It is what unites our body and mind with our intuition and soul. The heart interacts with the universe and is the center of our personal

source. It is the epicenter of our creativity and the channel through which we express our spirit into the world. Our heart is the eternal fire that purifies our thoughts and actions and transforms our emotional experiences. When we are present to our heart, we transcend the ordinary and become extraordinary.
Helix of Insight Intuition is the sacred spiral that fulfills our inheritance of immortal being. When we synergize our intuition with the balance of our instinct, intellect and emotion, we free ourselves from the duality of social reality. Imagination replaces ego as we transcend the terrestrial dimension. Our being expands into an infinite experience. We are transformed into an expression of the universe. The energy of our consciousness connects us with our spirit. Intuition is the bridge that connects our creativity with our reality. It is the origin of our transformation. Our soul’s purpose is to intend our vision to become our possibility.
Heart of the Fire The greatest illustration of our multidimensionality is our soul. The equilibrium of our body, mind, heart and intuition manifests it into our daily lives. When we are seduced by the duality of instinct and intellect, our union with our heart and spirit is broken and we regress to default patterns of ordinary existence. When we are being an expression of our soul, our creativity inspires the extraordinary. This allows us to become our potential as spiritual beings living a human experience. How, why and who we choose to be transforms our reality. Our soul is our connection to the universe and our possibility of fulfilling our purpose.

elieving is seeing. That’s why you need to get your shit together. People build themselves mental cages from a young age (even starting in the womb) and perceive the world and people’s actions through the bars of their own idiosyncratic perceptual cage. That “cage” could be anything from limiting beliefs such as “life isn’t meant to be easy,” or, “better the devil you know.” What looks “dangerous” to one man could simply be intelligent opportunism to another. One man’s “wacky conspiracy theory” is another man’s logical conclusion based on diligent research.
Perception is relative.
Maybe you weren’t born in a cage. Maybe you just built one for yourself over time. “Seeing” is a tricky thing, and people are notoriously good at deceiving themselves. What we perceive as external to us is really our own neurology at work. We are basically blind to reality as it is, and instead interact with our very rough and distorted mental maps. Neurology determines perception. You literally see what you believe. We see not reality-as-it-is, but reality as it’s filtered through many layers of mental conditioning — most of it insidious and unconscious; formulated in the early years of our existence. If you want to “save the world”, save yourself first. Get your shit together. Sort out your mind, your emotions, mental associations, programs, unconscious loyalties. “Clean your room,” as Jordan Peterson exhorts us. Start improving the world by improving yourself. Be a better human. It’s the most

surefire, realistic, pragmatic way you can make an immediate difference in the world. You can change your thoughts and actions much more readily than anyone else’s. The willingness to do so is indicative of a certain level of maturity; it indicates responsibility being taken for one’s life — and one’s impact in the world. Change YOUR world by changing yourself.
Own your life.
Take responsibility for your hardships and challenges. Waving placards in anger at a university campus or a crowd of strangers doesn’t generally change shit. For example, most college/uni. students are too young (see: illinformed) to understand a great deal about how the world truly works. They’d rather
oversimplify it, create a bogeyman, blame it for all that is wrong with the world and their lives, and outsource responsibility. (“It’s Republicans,” “It’s Liberals,” etc.) Neo-fems, you might also take heed: you change nothing by blaming all the world’s issues on men. Projecting all of your darkness and resentment on to the entirety of the opposite sex is not only futile, it’s also juvenile. All you achieve is signalling to the world that you have determined that the most comfortable role for you to play is that of a helpless victim — then it’s someone ELSE’S responsibility to change things, not yours. How convenient. They say charity starts at home. So does meaningful change and transformation. So does responsibility. Even not choosing is a choice. No matter what you do or don’t choose, own it. Own your brokenness, your weakness, your vice. That’s the only useful starting point for changing anything that matters. If you simply rail against the darkness out in the world without working on yourself, you merely rail against your own shadow. Shouting at a mirror never solved a damn thing though. Blaming your bogeyman only prolongs your situation and suffering. You give your power away.
Get your shit together.
Make a concerted effort to understand the many levels and dimensions of yourself. Much of it isn’t pretty. That’s what makes us all human. It’s the “dirt” in you that offers the potential for meaningful growth — and even for meaningful and beautiful action in the world.
How many leaders achieved what they did BECAUSE they grappled with their demons and owned them? Many. Leaders own their shit and take responsibility. “There are only two kinds of people. Those who believe that they are a victim of the world and those who understand that they are the world.” – Alan Watts Victims pretend the demons are all outside of themselves and that they’re A-okay; perennial victims adopt this toxic mindset as policy. “I’m okay, you’re not okay.” Hey, we are ALL f#cked up, traumatized, and broken, it’s only a question of degree. The degree to which you come to peace with this and open up to working through your own issues is the degree to which you empower yourself to act as a beneficent change agent in the world. The world f#cking needs you to get your shit together. It needs you self-aware and humble, not bitter and angry, nor in denial and disconnect. The world needs your heart. Hiding it behind 10 feet of steel-reinforced concrete in order to protect yourself (likely your wounded inner child) is only a primitive defence mechanism that’s now holding you back and robbing the world of your light. We connect most meaningfully through the heart, so don’t lock it away. There are people out there who NEED your heart, your caring, your vulnerability. Don’t deny us that. Owning your weakness and fallibility is the source of your true power. You owe it to yourself to find out what you are, what you can be, and what you can do — IF you really get your shit together. Come on, we’re waiting. https://globalfreedommovement. org/to-save-the-world-get-your-shittogether/ This article is copyrighted by Global Freedom Movement.

A New Year A Time to Share By Julian Rose
Hello friends! I welcome this opportunity presented by the editors, to greet you in the name of an extended family, joined in spirit and heart through a common aspiration to build together a better world. We are all members of the family of man, but we rarely get the opportunity to sit down at the same table together and share our perspectives, thoughts and aspirations. To create a two-way dialogue that explores the potential to learn and be inspired by each other on the winding road of this ever-challenging experience we call life. But now we do have this opportunity, and all credit to the New Agora for launching this timely initiative. The key to a better world is something we hold in our own hands; it is not a distant voice of wisdom nor a technological construction. It is our very own ability to reach into ourselves and bring out that which we feel bound to express. That which we cannot help but feel drawn to, both as an external goal and as an inner sense of conviction. So, as we move into 2019, do we look ahead with a sense of excitement or sense of trepidation? Or perhaps a mix of the two? If the latter, then I can indeed empathize, because the state of our planet, its people’s, animals, fish and insect kingdom, is critical. And since we are part of this equation, we share and feel the symptoms of stress that ripple through Gaia – our living planet. Yes, we and our living planet are inextricably intertwined. We vibrate according to the resonances that surround us, and that which surrounds us, in turn, vibrates according to our resonances. It is a quantum field that we are living in; a field permanently evolving in its expression, reaction and volition. Our equilibrium and our Earth and Universe’s equilibrium, are 100% intertwined. It is for this reason that I believe none of us can remain aloof from the fate of this world. None of us can stand back and say “No thanks, that’s really not my responsibility, it’s up to environmentalists to sort-out the ecological problems experienced on this planet.” And so it goes also for all areas of critical The key to a importance to the well-being of man better world is and nature. No one is free from being implicated in what is going on around something we us. We all have responsibility to take action to ensure the amelioration of our hold in our own planetary quality of life. But most of us have been hands; it is not educated to see things in a series of a distant voice ‘compartments’. Specialization has dominated higher learning, especially at of wisdom nor university level – and therefore people see roles as being representative of a technological various boxes. Economics, medicine, politics, law, environment, industry, construction. It science, technology and so on. Is it any is our very own wonder that we live in a fragmented society? ability to reach On top of this, we suffer under the intense competition that underpins our into ourselves neoliberal capitalist societies, whose interest is founded on the desire to and bring out acquire wealth for wealth’s sake. Or that which we feel growth for growth’s sake. Some wise said “In medical terms, growth bound to express. person for growth’s sake equals cancer”. So, in a competitive money driven world, where rising up through the ranks of position and salary becomes the chief goal of life, what room is left for the spiritual world to make its voice heard? How can the voice of our deeper selves rise up above the humdrum of fanatical materialistic obsessions? How can we rebuild our deep need for love, cooperation and sharing when society as a whole is structured to put us at odds with each other and at odds with ourselves; to be divided against our compatriots in the scramble to ‘get to the top’. How many bodies of those who ‘didn’t make it’ are blindly walked over in the cause of material gain?

Time to Share Yes, we are all complicit in the crushing failure of the status quo to adopt an egalitarian and humanitarian ethical and moral stance, so as to underpin the foundation for the daily functioning of society. We are all at fault for failing to think and act ‘outside the box’. We all too easily let slip our deeper beliefs and higher aspirations for the ‘convenience’ that is part and parcel of slavery to the god of materialistic comfort and effortless actions. Addiction to the ‘do it all’ smartphone is one of the best examples of our willingness to be led astray by convenience. The electromagnetic microwaves that power this gizmo make it a pocket-sized killer in disguise. A super-convenience tool, which, at the touch of a button, leads its users into a cyborgian world of thoughtless slavery. Slavery to the programmer’s masterful means of creating dependence – while simultaneously spying on every move the phone’s owner makes. Electromagnetic microwaves are destroyers. They upset the natural rhythm of our bodily organs and distort the DNA of nature. Coupled with WiFi, they cast a blanket of electrosmog over our world, threatening a collapse in the neurological and physical health of mankind, animals, fish, insects and living matter in general.* This is our fate - if we fail to wake-up and to start taking control of our destinies. So here we are. And so long as we recognize the danger – the acute danger – that we and our world are in today, we can do something about it. We can take actual daily pragmatic steps to turn our ailing ship around and set our sails to catch the wind of change blowing ever more robustly through the ruins of our discredited civilization. We can join with the other thousands, millions, of waking souls who have already committed to give their lives to the cause of active service to humanity, and to thereby hasten the process of global emancipation for which all sentient beings long. Starting from today, if not already well on our way to investing the gifts of creative power bestowed upon us as sons and daughters of the Creator of all Life, let us do so. We are on the cusp of a great turning, but only our united efforts will ensure that this turning is away from slavery and towards liberation; towards the great emancipation of mankind through the realization of our still largely untapped Divine potentialities. *Link to Julian Rose interviewing Dr. Barrie Trower, the world’s leading expert on EMF radiation: https://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=DLVIbPtNrVo Julian Rose is an international activist, writer, organic farming pioneer and actor. Getting down to basics We live in a world where everything is crooked – lies masquerade as truth and it’s hard to find a straight path…. There seems to be no limit to the madness going on around us – ethics, morals, common sense and compassion have been thrown under the bus of profit. In this 21st century, hate and division are rampant in every level of society. Millions of people have flipped their humanity switch to off, and unplugged from the heart – we are a divided and manic species. Keeping us off balance Many people no longer watch TV or mainstream news – they are aware of the fabricated narrative put out by the media… the forty percent fear porn and programming, thirty percent sports and entertainment, twenty percent intrigue, nine percent half truths and one percent a cuddly bunny feel good story. The mass media is all about controlling our thinking, and has become the propaganda marketing project for the psychopaths that run the world. The kaleidoscope of fake news and disinformation projected into our minds is designed to affect us emotionally: to make us afraid of a made up bogeymen, a pandemic that’s just around the corner – or an invasion by the Russians or Chinese. This fear based propaganda keeps us in a state of insecurity and we eventually turn on each other – race, religion, class, any person or group/nation that runs a different program presents a threat to an unbalanced mind. Our minds are being manipulated by a whole host of ‘occult fixers’ that hide behind the puppet politicians. Their end-game is world domination and absolute control over
Page 5
Is Your Thinking Your Own – Or someone else’s? the hive mind of the worker bees called humanity…. and they have moved slowly and deliberately through the shadowed centuries towards their global goal. Is it any wonder, that in today’s ‘whirled’ we become confused and unable to keep up with- or understand, the rapidly changing and contrary nature of the political climate we live in. Fact or fiction It may be that we as a species have been caught up in a gigantic deception, and lied to on a monumental scale about everything in our reality – past and present. All we know about our collective past is what we have been taught by our parents, peers and teachers. We don’t know if it is true or false…and we have no means of knowing because we have no meaningful cultural information to fall back on.
Our tribes no longer exist and our oral understandings, shamanic knowledge, traditions and sonic languages, have been choked into oblivion by genocide, satanic religions, slavery and fabricated history. We as a species have become disconnected from our planet and ourselves. Nature is no longer our home and we are slowly being programmed and led into Borg status…we are sleepwalking into a nightmare. Fact or fiction? Programmed with someone else’s truth “There is nothing good or bad, but thinking makes it so.” William Shakespeare. Truths are two a penny – we all have our ‘truths’, our inherited prejudices, racial and class stereotyping, all the other polarized crap, and paranoia that is handed down to us by our parents and peers. Our perception of reality is
based on the information we receive from our elders, and therefore, we tend to believe that what we’ve been told as a ‘truth’ is a truth…. most of us don’t even question it… even if our conscience tells us it’s wrong. Think of all the different traditions there are in the world, each with their own truths and unique forms of programming, religions and inherited dogma, a world where each party is conditioned to believe they are right and everyone else is wrong. Once we have been indoctrinated with other people’s belief systems and have accepted them as our own, we cease to think for ourselves, and become cloned zealots, mindless followers of a person, a ‘truth’ or ideal. And, when this ‘inherited belief system’ is challenged by other cloned followers of a different persuasion, arguments and fights ensue… and this polarization eventually leads to genocide and war. www.heartstarbooks.com/ the-game-of-us-and-them/ The game play “Tis all a Chequer-board of nights and days-Where Destiny with men for Pieces plays: Hither and thither moves, and mates, and slays – And one by one back in the closet lays.” ― Omar Khayyam Shakespeare wrote that all the worlds a stage and all the people merely players. Pawns on a chess board – puppets played by puppeteers and conditioned to fight each other….just like the good guys and bad guys in the movies. The aim of the ‘human’ game is to keep us at each other’s throats, and to get us to expend our time, and our life’s energy into a game of opposites we think we can win - But the irony is, both sides are controlled by the same force, the game is wagging the two tails of the same dog… of

whatever cause or conflict we are involved in. The ills of this world cannot be solved by any means – because the Cosmic Laws that govern this construct will not allow only one side of the coin of life. There will always be truth and lies, tyrants and victims, cruelty and caring, starvation and abundance, love/hate, war/ peace, happy/ sad – good and bad. Once we realize the game is a set up designed to keep us under control, it’s time to stop – and take back our mental sovereignty and freedom. Strive to be authentic human beings and not carbon copy clones of the system. To become liberated in the mind, we have to turn inwards – investigate our thoughts, beliefs and views of the world…and then ask ourselves the question… Are they our thoughts and views born of personal experience or someone else’s? We live in apocalyptic times and as crazy as life is – everything is Cosmically in order. We are called upon to question our beliefs and drop the attachments and attitudes that no longer serve us…we don’t have time for baggage and the outworn thought forms of others… Something wonderful is happening if we can drop the polarity ball and resonate with the heart. The good news “And now here is my secret, a very

simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” ― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The Cosmic Clock that drives our reality is about to be reset. The culmination of twenty six thousand years of lives in the third dimension has brought us to NOW. The ‘Quickening’ is here and some of us sleep walkers are waking up, and seeing with the eyes of the heart. The Quickening Our sentient sun is taking a nap, the magnetosphere is waning, the poles are moving, an electro-magnetic shift is in progress, cosmic rays are increasing: triggering our multi-dimensional memories, stimulating our pineal glands and expanding our awareness. Information is flooding into our consciousness from the Cosmic Library. Nothing will be left untouched by the in-pouring of cosmic energies. It’s time to remember who we are…. powerful electro-magnetic beings. We are no longer in the sleep of prisoners. “Awake, awake, the world is young – For all its weary years of thought. The starkest fights must still be fought – the most surprising songs be sung.” James Elroy Flecker Awakening takes place in its own time, and new understandings affect our lives on every level. It can be disorientating as the veil of our conditioning falls away but synchronicity steps in and all kinds of information are presented to us – knowledge that gives us a different perspective and activates our intuitive awareness. Times are rapidly changing and the finish line of infinity is within our reach. So, lets drop the ball of conflict in the outer world and take our energy and our intent inwards to the serenity of Source Creation. “The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched, they are felt with the heart.” ― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

hundreds of other trees. Trees talk, and through these conversations they increase the resilience of the whole community. It’s a magical community of trees all supporting each other. Suzanne’s research has important environmental implications for the destruction of our forests. She says that when mother trees are injured or dying, they send their wisdom onto the next generation, but they can’t do this is if they are all wiped out at the same time. She hopes that her research will change the way we practice forestry. You can take out one or two hub trees, but there comes a tipping point, if you take out one too many, the whole system collapses. We are steadily weakening our forests, by clear cutting and planting only one or two species. This is having major environmental impacts. But there is hope. She says forests have an enormous capacity to self-heal.

A
walk amongst the trees is rejuvenating, nourishing and healing; yet a forest is so much more than an amazing collection of trees. There is a lot going on in the forests that we can’t see. Ecologist Suzanne Simard says trees have a sophisticated and interconnected social network existing underground. “A world of infinite, biological pathways that connect trees and allow them to communicate, and allow the forest to behave as if it’s a single organism.”
Her 30 years of research in Canadian forests have led to an astounding discovery: trees talk, communicating often and over vast distances. Trees are much more like us humans that you may think. They are extremely social and depend on each other for their survival. Communication is vital, and a massive web of hair-like mushroom roots transmit secret messages between trees, triggering them to share nutrients and water with those in need. Suzanne grew up in the magnificent forests of British Columbia. She shares how she’d lie down on the forest floor and stare up at the crowns of the giant trees. An accident with her dog who fell into their forest outhouse and had to be dug out, led her to discover the incredible underground root and mycelial network she would later research. When she returned to the study of trees later in life, she learnt how scientists had just discovered in the laboratory, that one pine seedling root could transmit carbon to another pine seedling root.
Trees Support Each Other
This insight spurred her on to study real forests to see what happens there. Her idea that trees could share information underground was controversial and many of her colleagues thought she was crazy. Difficulties in securing research funding led her to conduct her own

experiments and so she planted 240 birch, fir and cedar trees in a Canadian forest. She hypothesized that the birch and firs would be connected in their own underground web, but not the cedar. Undeterred by bears, she covered the seedlings with plastic bags, filling them with various types of carbon gas. She injected a radioactive gas into the birch, and then a stable carbon dioxide gas into the fir. When she ran a Geiger counter over the trees, she discovered silence from the cedar, and a loud sound of communication between the fir and birch trees who were sharing carbon with each other. She discovered birch sent carbon to fir, especially when it was shaded. Later the opposite happened, when the birch was leafless in the winter, the fir sent over more carbon. Science had always believed that trees competed with each other for carbon, sunlight, water and nutrients. Simard’s groundbreaking work showed that
trees are interdependent and cooperative, in fact they are immersed in deep relationships with each other. The trees were conversing by chemical and hormonal signals via the mycelium. These messages determined which trees needed certain nutrients. They communicated via carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, water, hormones and chemicals and then shared these elements, balancing the entire forest. “The web is so dense there can be hundreds of kilometres of mycelium under a single foot step.”
The Wisdom of Mother Trees
And the mycelium connects different individuals in the same forest, from the same species and other species. This network works in a similar way to the Internet. She discovered that mother trees nurture the younger trees and that a single mother tree can be connected to
She suggests four simple solutions for more holistic and sustainable forestry that could end the damage caused by clear cutting: 1.We need to get out into our local forests more. 2. We must save old growth forests as they are the repositories of genes, mother trees and mycelium networks. 3. Where we do cut, we must save the ‘legacy’ mother trees and networks so they can pass their wisdom onto the next generation of trees. 4. We must regenerate our forests with a diversity of species. As more and more information comes to light about the complex relationships existing between trees, we are better equipped to save our forests and help them thrive. Scientists like Simard are helping us change our perspective so that we work in harmony with nature; something that could dramatically alter the trajectory of environmental disaster and bring harmonious outcomes for both humans and trees. How People Become Easily Controlled By Tyrants By Brandon Smith www.activistpost.com
T
he question often arises in liberty movement circles as to how we get to the point of full-blown tyranny within a society. There are numerous factors that determine this outcome, but through all the various totalitarian systems in history there are common denominators – elements that must be there for tyrants to prevail. When we can identify these common elements in an objective manner, we make it far more difficult for despotic structures to stand. This is a very complex issue, but I’ll break it down as best as I’m able…
The Psychology Of The Tyrant To come to terms with how tyrants control society, we must first examine how the mind of a tyrant operates, because these people do not in most cases think the way average human beings think. It is one of the few cases in which I would encourage people to “otherize” another group. Tyrants are psychologically abnormal to such an extreme that it is difficult to classify them as human. I believe the key to understanding the motivations of tyrants and where these people come from rests on our understanding of narcissistic sociopathy. I wrote about this extensively in my article ‘Global Elitists Are Not Human,’ so I will only give a summary here. Narcissistic and sociopathic traits, like many psychological traits, are inborn. They are present in about 5% to 10% of any society at any given time. In the vast majority of cases, these traits remain “latent” and do not affect a person’s actions or relationships
to a great extent. In a minority of cases, however, narcissism and sociopathy become the defining factors of a person’s psyche. This occurs in less that 1% of a population. To be clear, not all narcissists are sociopaths and not all sociopaths are narcissists. There are people who are lowlevel narcissists who excel in society and retain a conscience. There are low level sociopaths in society that serve important functions in careers that empathetic people would find difficult, such as certain jobs in the military, or in the medical field. What I am referring to here are HIGH LEVEL narcissistic sociopaths – the kind of people that become murderers, rapists, pedophiles, and yes, tyrants. A sociopathic narcissist is motivated by personal desire only. They are incapable of empathy for others and see people as a kind of food and fuel source rather than fellow travelers in life. They consider their lack of conscience as an evolutionary advantage; a tool that helps them to survive and thrive by trampling, stealing, manipulating and killing if necessary without guilt or regret. You would think these creatures would be easy to pick out in a crowd, but it is not always so simple. They have the ability to mimic behaviors of those around them in order to appear more human. Sometimes this does give them away because they can’t help but parrot or steal behaviors and mannerisms from people they meet to the point of obviousness. For those inexperienced with narcissistic sociopaths, though, the tactic works for a time, because what people think they see is someone just like them; a reflection. Imagine it as a survival
mechanism, like a chameleon. For some tyrants, the ability makes them endearing to the public for a time. They can be many things to many groups, and their ability to lie convincingly is exceptional. They climb the ladder of success quickly, and build systems that allow them to prosper. They do have doubts and weaknesses, though. They are in most cases cowardly. They prefer to get what they want through subversion and trickery, and they run from direct confrontation. They prefer to use other people (useful idiots) as weapons or shields rather than risk facing off with their ideological opponents. As parasites, they focus on the weak minded or the fragile. They desperately want admiration from the very people they victimize. Therefore, they are constantly forced to play roles in order to appear normal. They do not like this. They feel that it is below their station in life to pander, and they are convinced that they should be worshiped as they are, not worshiped for the fraudulent image they have constructed. They want to “come out of the closet,” in a sense, as a narcissistic sociopath, but if they do under a stable social climate they will be shunned or burned at the stake. They sometimes band together for protection, and are willing to work with each other as long as there is mutual benefit. Thus, these “people” seek to create chaos, and then to reorder society to act more like they act, or think more like they think. When the masses have been convinced to abandon conscience, then the monsters can come out into the light of day without fear.
Here is how they achieve this goal, and how average people help them do it…
False Assumptions Almost all bad situations start with false assumptions based on bias rather than facts or evidence. The most dangerous assumption when it comes to tyranny is to say “we are in the right, therefore we are not supporting tyranny.” The question that needs to be asked, though, is are they really “right” according to the facts? If the answer is “no,” then they are probably fueling a tyrannical system. First and foremost, many human beings want to be “right” more than they want to be correct. That is to say, they are happy to “win” arguments and conflicts regardless of whether or not the truth is on their side. This bias is the root of many catastrophes in history. This is not to say that they don’t have a conscience. Most people in fact do have a conscience that tells them their assumptions are wrong, but they can still commit acts

Tyrants build false narratives. This is what they do best. They encourage people to unknowingly become villains, or they accuse innocent groups of villainy in order to sow division. of stupidity and atrocity. This is where tyrannical manipulators tend to help them along. Tyrants find great joy in creating all kinds of logical fallacies, mental gymnastics and morally relative sales pitches in order to convince a group of people that their wrong assumptions are right. The truth becomes foggy and evidence becomes unnecessary. In this state of mind, when individuals melt together into a mob, assumptions become cult dictates and “winning” becomes paramount. False assumptions and biases can be used to turn normal upstanding people into monsters, all because they refused to accept that their ideological position was flawed; all because they were afraid to feel embarrassed or admit they had been conned.
False Sides The taking of sides in political discourse is natural and normal. Even when people are entirely honest about the facts on hand and agree on basic principles of human decency and freedom, they will STILL disagree on what solutions should be used to deal with the problems in front of them. This creates a spectrum within society that is ever present;
Page 9
it cannot be helped or avoided. Tyrants understand the basis of this spectrum and try to use it to their advantage to manipulate people away from thoughtful discourse and towards mindless conflict. Tyrants exploit the masses more easily when people assume that corrupt political and social leaders are working for “their side” against the “other side.” Often these leaders can be bought or threatened into subservience. Tyrants then use them to drive the spectrum to the furthest opposites, until both sides adopt an attitude of zealotry. This happens not only in politics, but also in geopolitics, as puppet presidents and governments drive entire nations to war with each other over engineered conflicts that only ever benefit the cabal of tyrants behind the curtain.
Zealotry And False Narratives I view zealotry as a kind of psychological disease that is actually communicable – it spreads like a virus through a culture until everyone is infected. Zealotry happens when a person embraces an ideology to the point that it overrides their personality and their soul, and they are no longer able to think clearly as an individual. This includes considering the possibility that they are on the wrong side of history and morality. Zealotry on a mass scale depends on a number of dominoes set in succession. The threat of civil breakdown and economic suffering helps. Ideological opponents must be painted as an imminent and vile threat to the very fabric of society. In some cases they are a real and created threat (controlled opposition); in other cases they are a paper tiger meant to drive another group to support tyrannical
measures. Tyrants build false narratives. This is what they do best. They encourage people to unknowingly become villains, or they accuse innocent groups of villainy in order to sow division. They need all sides to see everyone else either as an ally or an enemy. There is no in-between. If a person does not conform to the views of the zealot, then he must be immediately treated as a threat. This causes an endless echo chamber that destroys all dissent or disagreement, no matter how rational. Zealots operate primarily on fear, making them easy prey for tyrants. And as some nerd somewhere once said, “Fear is the mind killer; fear is the little death that brings total obliteration.”
Apathy And False Hope More than anything else, tyrants desire an apathetic population. Apathy breeds complacency and inaction, and it also encourages delusional thinking. Apathetic people tend towards the philosophy of pacifism as a means to vindicate their own behavior, but this is merely a mask designed to hide their fear. They might fear suffering, they might fear loss, they might fear failure, but they certainly have fear, and it stops them from standing in the way of developments that they know are evil in nature and that require an aggressive response. Apathy can also be bred into a society through the use of false hopes. Tyrants conjure scenarios in which the public is made to believe positive “change” is about to take place, usually through politics. But, there will be no change for the better beyond the cosmetic. Things only get worse. In this process of conditioning, tyrants raise up the
hopes of the masses, and then dash them to the ground over and over, until the public gives up. The problem is not that things cannot change for the better, but that the public keeps playing by the rules of a game fabricated by the very people that are causing their misery. Stepping outside the constraints of that game requires us to take matters into our own hands rather than waiting around for others to make changes for us. It requires risk. If the farce of tyranny is to ever end, all awake and aware people will have to take many risks. I have heard it argued that tyranny is a natural and inevitable product of human society. That tyrants cannot be avoided, that they will always exist and any attempt to remove them will result in them only being replaced with other tyrants. This is the pinnacle of the pathetic mindset. It is the dark void of nihilism. One could also argue that there is no point to washing ourselves because we are just going to get dirty again tomorrow. But these people would eventually die of disease. If tyranny is a human constant, then rebellion must also be a human constant, otherwise, humanity dies or is turned into something unrecognizable. an you prevent cancer with diet and lifestyle changes? For the overwhelming majority of people, the answer is an emphatic, “Yes.” Despite what the cancer industry would like you to believe, food is medicine. And eating the right foods can help ward off cancer. Studies have shown that upwards of 90 percent of all cancers can be traced back to dietary, lifestyle and environmental factors — which means very few cancers are just a case of bad luck and genetic lottery. The links between lifestyle, diet, and cancer have been well-established. A 2008 study led by scientists at the University of Texas in Houston found that “cancer is a preventable disease that requires major lifestyle changes.” More recent studies have continued to hit on these correlations, such as this 2016 study from researchers at Harvard University, which concluded, “A substantial cancer burden may be prevented through lifestyle modification.” While you can’t go wrong with a plantbased diet, there are some fruits, vegetables and herbs that are highly regarded for their exceptional anti-cancer effects. These amazing benefits are derived from a number of plant nutrients:
1. Gingerols
Gingerols are found in the popular ginger root — and they pack quite the anti-cancer punch. There are a number of gingerols and other cancer-fighting compounds found in
Page 10
3. Vitamin C
ginger root, such as zingerone, paradols and 6-shogaol. 6-gingerol, in particular, is highly regarded for its anti-cancer effects. A 2016 study from the Centre for Plant Biotechnology and Molecular Biology in India declared 6-gingerol as the most potent anticancer compound found in the ginger root. Other studies have shown compounds in ginger are able to suppress the growth and spread of cancer cells in breast and colorectal cancers.
2. Sulforaphane
Sulforaphane is a compound found in cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, Brussels sprouts, kale, mustard greens and cabbage. An organosulphate compund, sulforaphane has been extensively studied for its host of health benefits. As Natural Health 365 reports: This amazing phytochemical destroys cancer cells, reduces inflammation that contributes to cancer, helps to prevent DNA changes that can lead to cancer, and even
Vitamin C is known for many things, like immune system support and wound healing. But did you know this essential nutrient also fights cancer? Studies show that vitamin C can reduce inflammation, fight free radicals and, in the right dose, it can even kill off cancer cells.
4. Quercetin
Quercetin is found in abundance in apples, grapes, red onions, and tomatoes. Studies show that a diet high in this plant nutrient can reduce cancer risk by up to 50 percent. This antioxidant nutrient can help protect cells and DNA from the damage caused by free radicals. Studies have shown that quercetin stops cancer in its tracks, killing off cancer cells before they have the chance to spread.
5. Vitamin D
Vitamin D is an essential nutrient known for its benefits for bone health and depression, but it helps prevent cancer, too. Studies have
shown that it reduces cancer risk across the board, but it is especially beneficial for warding off prostate, colorectal and liver cancers.
6. Curcumin
Curcumin is the active compound found in turmeric. Study after study has shown that this powerhouse of a nutrient can fight cancer at almost every turn. Earlier this year, it was revealed that someone cured their stage-3 myeloma (bone cancer) with turmeric and nothing else — a feat so great it was published in the British Medical Journal. Even proponents of the corrupt cancer industry couldn’t ignore that.
7. Proanthocyanidins
Found in grape seed extract, proanthocyanidins are known to cut the risk of cancer by a substantial margin — and more importantly, these potent nutrients are capable of slowing cancer growth and killing off cancer cells. Proanthocyanidins have also been shown to help prevent liver damage caused by chemotherapy.
8. Oleocanthal
We all know olive oil is good for us — but just how good is it? Oleocanthal is a plant nutrient found in olive oil that has the power to rupture cancer cell walls, leaving them to be destroyed by their own enzymes. There are many other remarkable foods with an array of health benefits that can help keep cancer at bay. ratom – Mitragyna speciosa -- is a tree native to Southeast Asia. The leaves have been used traditionally for centuries as a source of energy and pain relief for laborers and as a folk medicine to treat diarrhea, cough, diabetes, and for overcoming opium withdrawal with little discomfort. It is for this last use that some enterprising individuals most likely learned about the plant while searching the Internet for an inexpensive Do-It-Yourself way to quit the powerful OxyContin and other opioid prescription drugs, which had been heavily promoted for relatively minor discomforts since their introduction in 1996 in the United States. By the early years of the 21st Century, many Americans who had legally been prescribed these drugs were realizing these FDA-approved products were causing serious problems in their lives. They were looking for a natural alternative way to quit opioids at home without going through the expense and stigma associated with conventional drug rehab therapy. They found kratom. As various people discovered kratom, they also found it was helpful for many conditions ranging from anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue, PTSD, to diabetes, Lyme disease, arthritis, and Multiple Sclerosis, to name just a few. As new uses for the herb were recognized, they were shared via social media and face-to-face testimonies. Although it is a stretch to say that kratom makes anyone feel “high”, unscrupulous promoters described it as a “legal high” and sold kratom widely in smokeshops in the U.S. to those looking to change their mental state (without running the risk of getting busted).
Page 11
What is Kratom and Why You Should Care Kratom Filled a Need
Looked at dispassionately in the context of the changing legality of cannabis for both pain relief and recreational uses, kratom continues to perform an important function of helping people feel better without any sense of intoxication. Kratom even has a built-in way of punishing those who abuse it – nausea, dysphoria, and vomiting – so most consumers quickly learn to be moderate in their use of the herb. Perhaps the best way to describe what kratom does for most regular users is to liken it to coffee, but without the “jitters”. Increased sociability, increased focus
on the task at hand, and a calm, content state of mind, untroubled by minor pains and fatigue are all good descriptors for kratom’s general effects, as provided by the “green vein” strains. If one wants a more relaxed state, it can be invoked by choosing a “red vein” strain. For instant espresso-like energy and mental clarity, many choose the “white vein” varieties. (These generalizations can differ from person to person, so it is always wise to try a variety of strains before making any large purchases.) From a pharmacological viewpoint, kratom’s major alkaloid, Mitragynine, appears to be a near-perfect candidate for synthesizing into a safe, largely side-effect free
pain reliever, with virtually no possibility of respiratory depression. Despite this scientifically-proven fact, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration seems to possess their own set of facts and continues to claim that kratom causes the same cessation of breathing that most opioids do. The FDA also claims that kratom causes hallucinations and seizures, which no one in the kratom community numbering approximately 5 million U.S. citizens report experiencing. The FDA’s attitude toward kratom has grown increasingly militant, as kratom’s popularity has spread. At first, they dismissed kratom condescendingly as a “legal high” and a “substance of concern”, the FDA – perhaps in response to kratom’s growing capture of market share in the Medically Assisted Therapy industry and the widespread replacement of prescription drugs by kratom – has gone on a full campaign of disinformation to try to persuade the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) to schedule kratom along with heroin and LSD as a dangerous drug with no medically-approved uses.
Tell That to the People Who Say, “This herb has saved my life!”
This would be comical for those familiar with the gentle kratom, if it was not so traumatic for the many chronic pain, anxiety, and PTSD sufferers who have found so little help from prescription and OTC pharmaceuticals. The DEA crackdown on legitimate prescription of opioids has already driven many to the streets for cheaper heroin and fentanyl. More overdose deaths will result if kratom is banned. Learn more about this ongoing struggle to keep kratom legal in my article in the online edition of NewAgora: “Kratom Ban 2018”.

preventdisease.com magination is a wonderful thing. Emotions are often a result of the mind telling us stories without our direction over the outcome. When we imagine any fear repeatedly in a safe environment, soon our phobia, and our brain’s response to it, begins to subside. That’s the takeaway of a new brain imaging study led by CU Boulder and Icahn School of Medicine researchers, suggesting that imagination can be a powerful tool in helping people with fear and anxiety-related disorders overcome them. “This research confirms that imagination is a neurological reality that can impact our brains and bodies in ways that matter for our wellbeing,” said Tor Wager, director of the Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience Laboratory at CU Boulder and co-senior author of the paper, published in the journal Neuron. Being afraid of the unknown is not a new concept. From birth to death we’ve been trained to fear everything for a very long time. The dangers of modern life have a stranglehold on people’s imaginations. Sociologists call the phenomenon a risk society, describing cultures increasingly preoccupied with threats to safety, both real and perceived, but most definitely imagined. Our ability to judge risk is sophisticated, and instinctual decisions often serve us well. But when something doesn’t quite seem to sync up, gut to head, then it’s time to pause and at least question what’s causing the discrepancy. Neurolinguistic programming, emulating psychosis, television, advertising, the illusion of terrorism and several other remarkable concepts affect every facet of our lives and our world at the expense of our health, safety and security. About one in three people in the United States have anxiety disorders, including
Page 12
Can We Unlearn the FEAR That Creates Our Reality? phobias, and 8 percent have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Since the 1950s, clinicians have used “exposure therapy” as a first-line treatment, asking patients to face their fears-real or imagined--in a safe, controlled setting. Anecdotally, results have been positive. But until now, very little has been known about how such methods impact the brain or how imagination neurologically compares to real-life exposure. “These novel findings bridge a longstanding gap between clinical practice and cognitive neuroscience,” said lead author Marianne Cumella Reddan, a graduate student in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at CU Boulder. “This is the first neuroscience study to show that imagining a threat can actually alter the way it is represented in the brain.” Measuring The Minds-Eye For the study, 68 healthy participants were trained to associate a sound with an uncomfortable, but not painful, electric shock. Then, they were divided into three groups and either exposed to the same threatening sound, asked to “play the sound in their head,” or asked to imagine pleasant bird and rain sounds--all without experiencing further shocks.
The researchers measured brain activity using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Sensors on the skin measured how the body responded. In the groups that imagined and heard the threatening sounds, brain activity was remarkably similar, with the auditory cortex (which processes sound), the nucleus accumbens (which is associated with reward learning) and the ventromedial prefrontal cortex (associated with risk and aversion) all lighting up. After repeated exposure without the accompanying shock, the subjects in both the real and imagined threat groups experienced what is known as “extinction,” where the formerly fear-inducing stimulus no longer ignited a fear response. Essentially, the brain had unlearned to be afraid. “Statistically, real and imagined exposure to the threat were not different at the whole brain level, and imagination worked just as well,” said Reddan. Notably, the group that imagined birds and rain sounds showed different brain reactions, and their fear response to the sound persisted. “I think a lot of people assume that the way to reduce fear or negative emotion is to imagine something good. In fact, what might be more effective is exactly the opposite: imagining the threat, but without the negative consequences,” said Wager.
Unlearning Fear Previous research has shown that imagining an act can activate and strengthen regions of the brain involved in its real-life execution, improving performance. For instance, imagining playing piano can boost neuronal connections in regions related to the fingers. Research also shows it’s possible to update our memories, inserting new details. The new study suggests that imagination may be a more powerful tool than previously believed for updating those memories. “If you have a memory that is no longer useful for you or is crippling you, you can use imagination to tap into it, change it and re-consolidate it, updating the way you think about and experience something,” said Reddan, stressing that something as simple as imagining a single tone tapped into a complex network of brain circuits. She notes that there was much more variance in brain activity in the group that imagined the tone versus the ones who really heard it, suggesting that those with a more vivid imagination may experience greater brain changes when simulating something in their mind’s eye. As imagination becomes a more common tool among clinicians, more research is necessary, they write. For now, Wager advises, pay attention to what you imagine. “Manage your imagination and what you permit yourself to imagine. You can use imagination constructively to shape what your brain learns from experience.” Or, as writer and philosopher Mary Baker Eddy put it, “Stand porter at the door of thought.” https://preventdisease.com/ news/18/121218_Can-We-Unlearn-FearThat-Creates-Our-Reality.shtml

A Shift in Purpose Our experiences reflect the choices we make, our expression of being and our commitment to walk our truth. The intention we apply to our life
is what empowers our purpose. Our full potential exists when we release everything that no longer serves us or our communities. It is within this clearing that possibility is born. Every day we have an opportunity to shift our energy and become a vessel of the universe. This allows us to sustain the vital alchemy of our spirit, heart, mind and body. We manifest our purpose when we relate with the source of all that is and ever will be.
Being of the Universe Everything we emulate in social reality is everything we are not. We invest in the stories we and others invent about us because we are afraid and/or unwilling to believe in ourselves. We are an infinite being of eternal energy with extraordinary possibility beyond even our imagination. We have been, are and will always be an expression of
multidimensionality. Within each of us is the key to every mystery. We have an opportunity to empower our life in every moment of our experience. When we envision, create and manifest our purpose, the universe aligns with our intention and our soul becomes the source of our being.
