INTRODUTION

00 DIRECTION THROUGH PRACTICE CONCEPT

Look back the life at school, it’s always practice. Every time I faced fear and limitation, and I have to overcome. It was challenge for me. Through practice, often I got a frustration, but I didn’t give up. I tried more and more to achieve success. Practice made me stronger. Practice made me to find my direction as designer. Through practice finally I got here.

03 UTOPIA OBJECTIVE

Create an event based on a topic of interest and design a promotional book. Typography and visuals must be completely experimental and expressive.

CONCEPT

People know North Korea as a poor country and republic country. However, that’s not all. It’s more serious. Indigence (serious poverty), hard pressure, no-freedom of press, watching all the time by military government. However, more serious problem is North Korean people never know nothing goes wrong in there. They believed North Korea is the best country all over the world. The book will tell the truth by using comparing the candy coating lying and the tragic reality.

COLORBOT

04 COLORBOT OBJECTIVE

As a group project involving Pantone, Moo.com, and graphic design students from the Academy of Art University. Each group in our class designed a set of flashcards, an iPad app, and website geared towards teaching color and color meaning to children ages 5-10. CONCEPT

The Colorbots of New Bot City are a group of robot characters that intend to teach color to children by showing the relationship between color and emotion. Our group developed each Colorbot to have personality traits and occupations that fit that of their chosen Pantone color. The diversity between the different Colorbots create unique, individual characters where children can relate to their different personalities or aspire to have a similar occupation in their future. Our group received a Pantone Scholarship Award at the 2013 Academy of Art University Spring Show for our work.
