PDHPE Roadmap
Tracking your daughter’s path from Year 7 - Year 12
At Danebank, all PDHPE lessons focus on five propositions. These include taking a strengths-based approach to all teaching, focusing on educative purposes in lessons, including critical inquiry questions into class, developing our students’ health literacy and valuing the importance of movement.
In practical PDHPE lessons, it is not just all about playing games. We place particular emphasis on the education side of Physical Education, continually asking students critical thinking questions during play, encouraging guided discovery
through play and peer tutoring as well. This in conjunction with developing the knowledge, skills and confidence to enjoy a lifetime of healthful physical activity is at the core of our PDHPE lessons.
Our Theory PDHPE lessons cover a vast array of topic areas in the hope of empowering individuals to live healthier lives by increasing their knowledge and influencing their attitudes about caring for their well-being in relation to all dimensions of their health.
