This Months “IMPACT Dancer of The Month” has been selected based on their dedication and improvement in class as well as their kindness towards their peers, families, and staff through their positive IMPACT they make on the studio environment as a whole Our Impact Dancer will get to select a charity of their choice for The Dance Attic to make a $50 donation in their name Once the charity is chosen by the dancer and their family, we will share that information with our families in the following Newsletter This year is all about spreading the imprint of dance and all of these dancers will be doing just that! This Months Impact Dancer is
Malaya is one of our youngest dancers and we are so excited to recognize her for her positive impact this month! She is never seen without a smile on her face, and she makes sure that all of her classmates and teachers feel loved before, during, and after class! Malaya’s eagerness to learn and contagious positivity makes her such a joy to be in the present of! We are so proud of this young dancer and the Impact she is already making on our dance family!
This month The Dance Attic will focus our Imprint efforts towards The Lodge Of Wake Forest and the Bolt 4 Brooklyn Organization. Learn more about the recipient who will receive this years funds:
Caroline Laughorn, 23, of South Boston, Virginia, has been battling leukemia for for most of her life On May 1, 2009, at age eight, Caroline was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Caroline has been battling cancer ever since and has proven herself time and time again as a deserving recipient through multiple diagnosis, and remissions, there is not a more deserving recipient for this season
SAMANTHA LANDRUM What Impact has The Dance Attic made on your life? Dance has taken me places I wouldn’t have reached having an everyday hobbie. Dance taught me how to mature and grow in a community and within myself
How do you hope to leave your Imprint on The Dance Attic before graduation? I hope my imprint leaves that feeling of connection. The connection between a dancer and their choreography, the connection of teammates, and the connections through teachers. All of these things create a conscious feeling of safety and love that I hope others in the future will be able to connect with and feel as well.
KASEY MCWILLIAMS What Impact has The Dance Attic made on your life & How do you hope to leave your Imprint on The Dance Attic before graduation? As someone who has been a TDA family member for over ten years now I can truly say that it has changed my life for the better Being a part of this little family has made me become a better version of myself and makes me realize how much I love dance and dancing with others. This studio has helped me get through some rough times in my life and I am forever grateful Even though it's sad that my time as a student is ending my heart and soul will forever be a part of this studio I hope the impact that I am remembered by the most is encouraging others to let go of their self-limitations and let their emotions shine through their dance. I want the dancers to know that you need to have faith and trust in each other as a team As a team we need to lift each other up and not put each other down because at the end of the day that's your family, in the dance studio and in real life. Overall, the Dance Attic has taught me that it's about teamwork and learning to love who you are. Love, Kasey AKA. Billie :)

If you are interested in TDAC (The Dance Attic Company), we would love to hear from you!
