The Hotel has 34 rooms, completely renovated, with air conditioning, private bathrooms and all comforts, free wi-fi in all rooms and internet point at the reception.

During the summer season, breakfast is served on the comfortable terrace situated on the first floor. A private garage is available for all guests of the Hotel.

La Spezia, the pearl of the Gulf and the land of poets, is located in a wide bay that goes from Lerici to Porto Venere, protected by the blue sea of the Cinque Terre and the green hills, it host villages of excellence.

A bordertown, located between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna, a wonder town, thanks to its two National Parks, two Regional Parks and a people oriented Marine protected area.

La Spezia boasts different peculiar things worth to discover, walking through its historical centre: the old Town Hall hidden on the seafront, the beautiful public gardens, the protomes hidden on the facades of the buildings, the futuristic mosaics inside the tower of the post office building, the contrast between the Liberty style of the buildings around a contemporary square with colours, mirrors and water games, then the private collections that have made our museums famous in Italy: a Town that is at the same time a typically Ligurian bordertown, with its stairs, pastel colours, narrow streets and the fruit and vegetable market, that tells its story thanks to the charm of the sea, and the scents and flavours of its land. Dove ci troviamo La Spezia è una città della Riviera Ligure di Levante, meta turistica per eccellenza e di recente importante scalo crocieristico, affacciata sul bacino dell’Alto Mar Tirreno e al confine con la regione Toscana, sulla destra della foce del fiume Magra.

Con le Alpi Apuane a farle da contrafforte, si trova proprio al centro di un golfo che prende il suo stesso nome , conosciuto anche come “Golfo dei Poeti”, ed è vicina alle Cinque Terre e al Parco Nazionale

omonimo, sito dell’Unesco, e a numerosi altri luoghi Patrimonio nell’Umanità, come Portovenere, le relative isole, Lerici con le spiagge di San Terenzo e la città storica di Sarzana.

Abitata sin dalla preistoria, a cavallo tra due regioni cardine del turismo made in Italy, è comunque figlia d’arte ligure, con un’influenza genovese che spicca nel tessuto urbano e nelle decorazioni degli edifici di culto, casa altresì di un secolare

patrimonio nautico, dovuto in gran parte all’espansione dell’Arsenale della Marina Militare, costruito nel 1860. Sviluppatasi ottimamente grazie alla posizione strategica e al crocevia di piccoli borghi, che sono autentiche perle da visitare, a cominciare dalla seconda metà del XIX secolo, il suo territorio comprende le Cinque Terre, la Valle del Magra, la Valle del Vara e il Levante Ligure della Riviera Spezzina.

La Spezia is a town of the Eastern Ligurian Riviera, a tourist destination par excellence which has recently become a cruise port. It overlooks the Ligurian Sea and borders to the west with the Region of Tuscany and the mouth of the River Magra. With the Apuan Alps as spur, the town is situated right in the centre of a Gulf that bears the same name, known also as “The Gulf of Poets”, close to the Cinque Terre and its Natural Park , which is a Unesco location near many other areas which are part of the World Heritage, such as Portovenere and its islands, Lerici, the beaches of San Terenzo and the historic town of Sarzana.

The area has been inhabited since prehistoric times, is between two important cornerstones of the so called Made in Italy tourism, is however the daughter of Ligurian art, the Genoese influence stands out in the fabric of the city, especially in the decorations of the churches.

The town is also the home of a century old nautical heritage, thanks to the expansion of the Navy Arsenal, built in 1860.

La Spezia developed thanks to its strategic position and the junction to reach the small hamlets, real gems worth to visit; from the second half of XIX century the Cinque terre, the Magra valley, Vara valley and the eastern Ligurian Riviera became part of its territory.

La Spezia est une ville située sur la Riviera de la Ligurie orientale, destination touristique par excellence, qui, de plus, a récemment ouvert son port aux escales des bateaux de croisières internationales.

Elle donne sur la mer tyrrhénienne, entourée à Est par l'estuaire du fleuve Magra et par le département de Massa-Carrara de la région de la Toscane, à Ouest par le littoral de la Ligurie, au Nord par le département de Parma de la région Emilia-Romagna et au Nord Est par les Alpes Apuanes qui lui font de contrefort.

Habitée depuis la préhistoire, située entre deux régions clés du tourisme « made in Italy », La Spezia est fille d’art de la Ligurie dont l’influence de Gènes se dénote dans son tissu urbain, dans les décorations des églises et des édifices, dans la construction de maisons appartenant au patrimoine maritime en raison de l'expansion de l'Arsenal Militaire construit en 1860.

Sa position stratégique en tant que carrefour des petites villes et villages des alentours (joyaux à visiter) a favorisé son développement.

Dès la seconde moitié du XIXème siècle, le territoire du département comprend les Cinque Terre, la vallée du fleuve Magra, la vallée du fleuve Vara et la partie orientale de la Ligurie de la Riviera de La Spezia.

Mit den Apuanischen Alpen als Schutz befindet sich La Spezia direkt in der Mitte einer Bucht, die den gleichen Namen hat, auch als "Golf der Poeten" bekannt. Sie befindet sich in der Nähe der Cinque Terre und dem gleichnamigen Nationalpark, einem UNESCO-Standort, und vielen anderen Orten des Weltkulturerbes wie Portovenere und seinen jeweiligen Inseln, Lerici, den Stränden von San Terenzo und der historischen Stadt Sarzana.

La Spezia ist seit vorgeschichtlicher Zeit bewohnt und liegt zwischen zwei wichtigen touristischen Regionen Italiens, ist aber Tochter ligurischer Kunst mit Genuesischem Einfluss der sich im Stadtgefüge und in der Dekoration der religiösen Gebäude bemerkbar macht.

C ome arrivare Via aerea: Gli aeroporti più vicini a La Spezia sono il Cristoforo Colombo di Genova, il Galileo Galilei a Pisa e il Giuseppe Verdi di Parma. E’ possibile avvalersi dell’aeroporto di Milano-Malpensa per i grandi scali internazionali, usufruendo poi del servizio navetta fino a Milano Centrale e, da lì, proseguire con un treno Intercity veloce fino a La Spezia, a poco più di due ore di distanza. E’ inoltre possibile fare scalo turistico all’aeroporto di Luni.

Via terra: L’autostrada di riferimento per arrivare a La Spezia da nord è la A1, con un precedente tratto di A7 se si parte da Milano; percorrendo dunque un generoso tratto di A15, provenienti dalla Pianura Padana si seguono le indicazioni per Parma- La Spezia e ci si innesta nella linea tirrenica nei pressi di Santo Stefano Magra, che funge da casello autostradale.

Dalle grandi città del centro, come per esempio Roma, partendo da Via Salaria si seguono le indicazioni sempre per A1, in direzione Firenze, poi uscita A12/ E80 verso Genova – Parma, continuando in direzione di La Spezia –Santo Stefano Magra.

In sostanza, La Spezia ed il suo centro si collegano alle grandi vie di comunicazione su terra tramite una superstrada di circa 7 km che giunge dal casello di Santo Stefano Magra, punto di intersezione per tutte le autostrade in provenienza da Genova, Milano, Parma e Pisa. Alla fine della superstrada, si accede alla

principale Via Carducci, da dove possiamo scegliere di proseguire verso la Litoranea delle Cinque Terre, ovvero la SS 370, o la SS 530 con destinazione il suggestivo borgo di Portovenere.

Per quanto riguarda la linea ferroviaria, ci si rifà alla Pontremolese Parma- La Spezia che si inserisce nella Tirrenica di Genova-Roma: la stazione di riferimento è quella di “La Spezia Centrale”. Ci sono treni Intercity in partenza da Milano ogni due ore, e da Termini con scalo a Pisa e a Firenze. In alternativa, è possibile utilizzare i servizi della flotta Freccia.

Via mare: Le grandi navi possono sostare nell’ampia rada del Golfo di La Spezia, mentre le barche da diporto provenienti da Sud (Sardegna e Corsica) e da Ovest (Mediterraneo) possono attraccare in pieno centro cittadino nel nuovo Porto Mirabello. Dal Molo Italia partono, nei mesi estivi, linee di ferryboat per Lerici, Portovenere, Portofino e Genova. Da La Spezia, Levanto, Lerici e Portovenere, il Consorzio Marittimo Cinque Terre mette a disposizione battelli e motonavi per una gita lungo tutto il levante, a partire da 11 euro. Potrete passare, soprattutto al mattino e se il tempo lo permette, incantevoli momenti a contatto con il passaggio di delfini e cetacei, in particolare nella zona di mare aperto tra Portovenere e la Palmaria e nell’arco di costa compreso nel Santuario dei Cetacei.

C omment arriver Par avion: Les aéroports les plus proches sont: Gênes «Cristoforo Colombo », Pise « Galilei Galileo » Parme « Giuseppe Verdi » et pourquoi pas SarzanaLuni avec son aéroport militaire et enfin, mais pas le moindre, l’aéroport de Milano-Malpensa avec des vols internationaux et intercontinentaux. De Milan aéroport, il y a des navettes qui desservent la gare ferroviaire Milano Centrale d’où partent régulièrement des trains Intercity qui relient La Spezia en un peu plus de deux heures.

Par route: De Milano en passant par Genova emprunter l’autoroute A7 puis A12. De Milano en passant par Parma qui traverse la plaine du Pô (pianura Padana) emprunter l’autoroute A1 puis A15, trajet légèrement plus court. De Rome, à partir de Via Salaria, suivre les indications pour l’autoroute A1 en direction de Firenze, puis suivre la direction Genova/ Parma par A12/E80.

La Spezia/Santo Stefano Magra est le péage d’entrée ou de sortie : _En entrée pour les directions vers Est : Pisa, Firenze, Roma ; vers Ouest : Genova, Milano. _En sortie, une voie express de 7 km conduit au centreville de La Spezia en arrivant sur la quatre voies Via Carducci, de là, prendre la direction des Cinque Terre qui mène à une bifurcation, soit prendre la route côtière qui porte aux Cinque Terre (SS 370) ou celle qui porte à Portovenere (SS 530), charmant petit port.

Par train: La station de repère "La Spezia Centrale » est desservie par le réseau ferroviaire « Trenitalia », soit par la ligne Pontremolese en provenance de Parma, soit par la ligne Tyrrhénienne en provenance de Roma à Sud et de Genova à l’Ouest. Le trajet Milano Centrale/La Spezia Centrale ou Roma Termini/ La Spezia Centrale avec différents arrêts est couvert par des trains Intercity toutes les deux heures ou par des trains du réseau Frecce.

Par mer: Les grands bateaux de croisières internationales s’encrent au milieu de la rade du Golfe de La Spezia. Les bateaux de plaisance en provenance du sud (Sardaigne, Sicile et Corse) ou de l'Ouest de la Méditerranée ont la possibilité d’amarrer et séjourner au port de plaisance Mirabello situé à deux pas du centre-ville. De la jetée du port appelée « Molo Italia », durant les mois d'été, s’effectuent les départs en ferries pour Lerici, Portovenere, Portofino et Genova. « Le Consortium Maritime des Cinque Terre », au départ de La Spezia, Levanto, Lerici et Portovenere, met à disposition bateaux et motos d’eau pour faire des excursions journalières tout le long de la côte et ce à partir de 11 €. Le matin, temps permettant, se font remarquer des bancs de dauphins ou de cétacés entre Portovenere et l’ile Palmaria où courants et conditions constituent le Sanctuaire des Cétacés qui favorisent leurs passages.

Der nächste internationale Flughafen ist Mailand Malpensa, von dort kann man mit einem Intercity Zug in wenig mehr als 2 Stunden schnell La Spezia erreichen. Außerdem gibt es einen Privatflughafen in Luni.

Auf dem Landweg: Vom Norden kommend nimmt man die Autobahn A1, davor ein Stück der A7 wenn man aus Mailand kommt, man folgt dann, aus dem Po-Tal kommend, einer großzügigen Strecke auf der A15, der Beschilderung nach Parma-La Spezia folgend.

Die Ausfahrt nach La Spezia ist die Mautstelle in Santo Stefano Magra. Aus den großen Städten vom Zentrum Italiens kommend, wie z.Bsp. aus Rom, folgt man ab Via Salaria immer den Beschilderungen der A1 in Richtung Florenz. Ausfahrt A12/E80 Richtung Genua – Parma und immer Richtung La Spezia – Santo Stefano Magra.

Im wesentlichen ist La Spezia und ihr Zentrum mit den großen Verkehrsknotenpunkten über die 7km lange Superstrada verbunden, die bis zur Autobahnmautstelle von Santo Stefano Magra verläuft, wo alle Autobahnen aus Richtung Genua, Mailand, Parma und Pisa zusammentreffen. Die Superstrada endet direkt in der Hauptstrasse Via Carducci, von dort aus kann man entweder der Küstenstraße entlang Richtung Cinque Terre (der SS 370) oder auf der SS 530 in Richtung des

21 charmanten Ortes Portovenere fahren.

Was die Anreise mit dem Zug betrifft ist dieses mit der Linie Pontremoli, Parma – La Spezia möglich die mit der Tyrrhenischen Linie Genua – Rom verbunden ist: Zielbahnhof ist „La Spezia Centrale“. Es gibt Intercity Züge im Zweistundenintervall aus Mailand; aus Rom Termini kommend, steigt man in Pisa und in Florenz um. Als Alternative kann man die Direktzüge der Freccia Bianca nutzen. Übers Meer: die Passagierschiffe halten in der großen Reederei im Golf von La Spezia während die Sportboote, die aus dem Süden (Sardinien und Korsika) oder aus dem Osten (Mittelmeer) kommen, mitten im Stadtzentrum im neuen Hafen Mirabello anlegen können. Von der Hafenmole „Italia“ fahren in den Sommermonaten Fähren nach Lerici, Portovenere und nach Genua. Die Schiffahrtsgenossenschaft der 5 Terre (Consorzio Marittimo 5 Terre) organisiert ab 11 Euro Boote und Motorschiffe, die von La Spezia, Levanto, Lerici und Portovenere ablegen um Tagesausflüge entlang der ligurischen Ostküste vorzunehmen. Vor allem morgens kann man bei günstigem Wetter unvergessliche Momente erleben und mit ein wenig Glück sogar Delfine und Wale vorbeiziehen sehen, insbesondere im Bereich des offenen Meeres zwischen Portovenere und Palmaria und entlang dem Teil Küste die in dem Wallfahrtsort Cetacei angehört.

La Spezia è una provincia costituita da più quartieri, evoluti in lunghezza e distribuiti tra la parte prospiciente il molo, con il suo moderno lungomare, e le colline retrostanti, salendo verso la statale panoramica. Città di “strade larghe e case alte e gialle”, come scriveva Ernest Hemingway, da antico borgo marinaro si è ritrovata ad essere polo di importanza internazionale per il turismo di ogni genere e forma.

Restando entro i suoi confini, balza all’occhio la cura con cui la La Spezia custodisce il suo materiale storico: nel cuore antico, quello di Via del Prione, ci si imbatte nel Museo Civico Amedeo Lia, che conserva numerosi dipinti e opere d' arte dal XIII – XVIII, immerso nel centro pedonale sede di negozi e boutique, caffè alla moda e panifici a gestione familiare.

Passeggiando per queste strade, è godibile e d’impatto l’impronta dei giardini pubblici in stile italiano, vicino alla passeggiata a mare, e quella delle ville del ‘900, ombreggiate da palme, che si incontrano prima di arrivare ai portici di Via Chiodo. Numerose anche le ville in stile liberty, soprattutto dopo Via del Prione, sede dei negozi più trendy, o concentrate in Piazza Sant’Agostino.

Il centro fa propri anche i tipici vicoli a serpentina e l’architettura d’un tempo, la quale prosegue accanto alla passeggiata a mare, detta Morin, che s’interrompe verso il grande complesso dell’Arsenale Militare, complice di una radicale trasformazione a partire dal secondo Ottocento, per volontà dei Savoia.

Utili per gli spostamenti in loco le stazioni ferroviarie, che danno il nome anche ai quartieri, di Migliarina e Cà di Boschetti.

Da visitare il Castello di San Giorgio , imponente edificio fortificato del '600, al cui interno è ospitato il Museo Archeologico Formentini, che raccoglie una collezione di Statue Stele della Lunigiana, reperti, questi, di incredibile valore, provenienti dall’antica colonia Romana di Luni. Seguono a ruota la Chiesa dei Santi Giovanni ed Agostino, i Musei Diocesano ed Etnografico presso l’ex oratorio di San Bernardino, il Museo del Sigillo, unico al mondo, ospitato nella Palazzina delle Arti, il CAMEC, Centro di Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, e la Cattedrale di Cristo Re in Piazza Europa, area rimodernata di recente per venire incontro ai sempre più numerosi sbarchi del Porto Mirabello.

Piazza Verdi, a poca distanza, è stata ristrutturata con fontane, panchine, alberi, piante e alcuni particolari archi realizzati dall'artista Daniel Buren, diventando così un giardino al centro esatto della città. Nel 1906 viene aperta la prima rete filoviaria italiana, proprio qui a La Spezia. Il servizio è stato recentemente sospeso avvalendosi di bus a basso impatto ambientale. Il trasporto pubblico è assicurato da ATC esercizio, che si occupa di tutto il territorio comunale e di integrare i percorsi con diverse tratte fino ai vicini comuni dei borghi marinari e di quelli pedemontani. Le linee L e P portano rispettivamente al capolinea di Lerici e a quello di Portovenere, curando le fermate intermedie lungo il centro e la periferia. Il biglietto a tariffa urbana ha un prezzo intorno a Euro 1.50 per la durata di 60 minuti (ma è anche possibile richiederne uno valido per 3 ore con un supplemento) ed aumenta in base alla distanza da percorrere, arrivando a una copertura di 70 km dal centro cittadino. Recentemente è attivo un Servizio Bus Navetta per il centro città che salta le fermate superflue, in partenza dal Parcheggio del Palaspezia, vicinissimo alla fine della superstrada di ingresso in città, e da quello di Piazza D’Armi. Nel periodo estivo, fate attenzione alle modifiche degli orari e studiate, quando possibile, un percorso che preveda lo spostarsi in treno, riducendo così le emissioni di co2 delle vetture e godendo del bel panorama della costa.

H ow to move about La Spezia is a province made up of different areas, facing the pier, with a modern waterfront and hills at the back, that climb towards the panoramic state road.

A town of "wide roads, tall and yellow houses", as Ernest Hemingway once wrote, that started its life as an ancient seaside village and then has become a pole of international importance for every kind of tourism.

It's obvious the care with which La Spezia looks after its historical places,located in the ancient heart of the town, in via del Prione, where we come across the Civic Museum Amedeo Lia, with many paintings and works of art of the XIII, XVIII centuries, the museum is right in the pedestrian centre, with many shops, boutiques, fashionable coffee bars and family run bakeries.

Walking along the streets you may enjoy the pleasant Italian style public gardens, right next the seafront promenade and the

23 1900s villas shaded by palm trees that we meet before reaching the porticos of via Chiodo.There are many Liberty style buildings, especially after via del Prione, the location of trendy shops, other beautiful buildings can be found in Sant'Agostino square.

Its typical winding alleys and the architecture of the past, can be found in the buildings facing the seafront promenade, Passeggiata Morin, which is not far from the Navy Arsenal, that helped the radical transformation of the town in the second part of 1800, as the Savoia family wanted.

Useful for travellings are the railway stations, that bear the name of the areas where they are located, Migliarina and CĂ di Boschetti. Worth visiting is the Castle of Saint George, an imposing fortified building of 17th century, which houses the Archaeological Museum Formentini, and a collection of Stele Statues from Lunigiana, these archeological finds are of great importance and value, as they belong to the ancient Roman colony of Luni.

Other interesting places to visit are the Church of Saints John and Augustine, the Diocesan and Ethnographic Museum, that was in the past the Oratory of San Bernardino, the Museum of the Seal, a real unique museum which is housed inside the building Palazzina delle Arti, CAMEC, a Modern and Contemporary Art Centre, and the Cathedral of Cristo Re in Piazza

Europa, the area has been recently renovated to meet the needs of an increasing number of tourists that arrive at Mirabello Port.

Piazza Verdi is at a short distance, this area has been renovate with fountains, benches, trees, plants and some particular arches made by Buren, it has become a sort of garden in the town centre.

The first Italian trolleybus network opened, right here in La Spezia in 1906. The service has been recently replaced by environmentally friendly buses. Public transport is provided by ATC, whose buses run along the entire municipality, including the nearest villages on the coast and those located on the hills.

The bus lines L (stands for Lerici) and P (stands for Portovenere), lead to and end in Lerici and in Portovenere, there are several stops along the way.

The price of a ticket, for the town centre is 1,50 â‚Ź and it's valid for 60 minutes, you can also buy a 3 hour ticket, the cost depends on the distance you want to reach, ATC provides a service up to 70 km from the town centre.

There is a shuttle service that runs from the parking opposite Palaspezia, not far from the exit of the motorway, there is another shuttle service in Piazza D'Armi. Pay attention to the timetables, in summer, when it's possible take a train to enjoy the landscape of the coast and to reduce Co2 emissions.

La ville de La Spezia se compose de plusieurs quartiers étalés et répartis d’Est, à Nord et à Ouest par rapport à la promenade des quais. La ville est aérée par ses rues larges et de hautes maisons jaunes la dépeignent comme écrivait Ernest Hemingway. L’ancien village de pêcheurs d’antan est devenu une ville internationale importante soit pour le tourisme que pour le transport mercantile maritime.

L’œil du visiteur est attiré par le soin avec lequel La Spezia entretient son patrimoine historique : le cœur antique de la ville, la fameuse Via del Prione, rue piétonne qui abondent de magasins, boutiques, cafés à la mode et boulangeries. Le long de cette dernière rue se trouve le Museo Civico Amedeo Lia qui abrite de nombreuses peintures et œuvres d'art allant du XIIIème jusqu’au XVIIIème. Du centre, en se dirigeant vers la mer, on traverse les jardins publics très soignés de style italien, un peu avant les arcades de Via Chiodo on trouve l'une des plus belles villas du XXème siècle ombragée de palmiers.

Dans ce même quartier et autour de Piazza Sant' Agostino beaucoup de villas de style liberty méritent le coup d’œil. Le centre-ville est serpenté de typiques ruelles sinueuses et orné d'une architecture qui provient du passé et qui accompagne la flânerie. L’Arsenal Militaire interrompt la promenade, ce grand édifice est complice d'une transformation radicale qui aura lieu durant la seconde moitié du XIXème siècle sous la volonté de la dynastie des Savoia.

Les gares de Migliarina et Ca 'di Boschetti, noms de ces deux quartiers, sont utilisées pour les transports urbains. Ne pas manquer la visite du château San Giorgio, imposant édifice fortifié du 17ème siècle qui abrite le Musée archéologique Formentini et la collection de statues Stèle de la Lunigiana d’une valeur inestimable. Statues qui proviennent de l'antique colonie romaine de Luni. La visite continue en s’arrêtant à

l'église des Saints Giovanni et Agostino, les Musées Diocésain et Ethnographique qui se trouvent dans l’ex oratoire San Bernardino, le Musée du Sigillo, unique au monde, logé dans la Palazzina des Arts, le CAMEC (Centre des Arts Modernes et Contemporains) et la cathédrale du Cristo-Re sur la Piazza Europa, place qui d’ailleurs vient d’être rénovée pour répondre à l'accroissement de touristes provenant du port de plaisance Mirabello. Tout près, Piazza Verdi, à la fin de ses travaux de renouvellement, est devenu un vrai jardin en centre-ville. Il se peut que la viabilité soit compromise jusqu'à Viale Amendola où un arrêt de bus temporaire a été placé.

En 1906, ici à La Spezia, fut mis en place le premier réseau italien de bus électriques qui récemment a été substitué par des bus à faible émission de CO2 pour respecter l'environnement. Les transports en commun sont assurés par la société ATC, qui gère l'ensemble du territoire communale et desservent les communes voisines, villages côtiers et collinaires.

Les lignes L et P, respectivement, conduisent aux terminus de Lerici et Portovenere, de nombreux arrêts sont prévus dans le centre-ville et en périphérie. Le tarif du billet urbain est de € 1,50, il est valable pour une durée de 60 minutes. Un supplément peut être acquis pour rallonger soit la durée du trajet jusqu’à’ concurrence de trois heures, ou pour couvrir une majeure distance qui peut atteindre 70 km à compter du centre-ville. Récemment, un service navette a été mis en place au départ de Piazza D’Armi à l’Ouest de la ville et un autre au départ du parking Palaspezia à l’Est de la ville qui se trouve en fin de course de la quatre voies ; Ces deux trajets rejoignent le centre-ville en peu de temps vu que ces deux navettes comportent moins arrêts. En été, faites attention aux changements d’horaires. Un petit conseil, essayez de prévoir vos déplacements par voie ferrée afin de limiter les émissions de CO2 de votre voiture, ainsi vous pouvez profiter du panorama du littoral.

V erkehrsmittel

La Spezia ist eine aus mehreren Stadtteilen bestehende Provinz, die sich der Länge nach entwickelt hat und sich gegenüber dem Pier verteilt, mit einer modernen Promenade und den dahinter liegenden Hügeln hinauf bis zur Panoramastraße. Die Stadt der "breiten Straßen und hohen gelben Häusern", wie es Ernest Hemingway beschrieb; aus dem alten Fischerdorf hat sich La Spezia in ein Zentrum von internationaler Bedeutung für den Tourismus jeder Art und Form entwickelt. Innerhalb ihrer Grenzen verbleibend, fällt einem auf, wie viel Wert La Spezia auf den Schutz ihres historischen Materials im Herzen der Stadt legt, der Via del Prione, wo sich das Museum Amedeo Lia befindet das zahlreiche Gemälde und Kunstwerke aus dem XIII – XVIII Jahrhundert bewacht.

Es befindet sich mitten in der Fußgängerzone mit seinen vielen Geschäften, Boutiquen, trendigen Cafés und Bäckereien aus Familienunternehmen.

Bei einem Spaziergang durch diese Straßen kann man die öffentlichen Gärten im italienischen Stil in der Nähe der Promenade genießen, sowie die Villen aus dem Jahr '900 im Schatten von Palmen auf die man trifft bevor man die Arkaden der Via Chiodo erreicht. Es gibt auch

zahlreiche Jugendstilvillen, vor allem nach der Via del Prione, Heimat der trendigsten Läden, oder in der Piazza Sant'Agostino. Im Zentrum kann man auch die typischen Gassen in Schlangenlinienform und die Architektur der Vergangenheit bemerken, die an der Promenade entlang, Morin genannt, weiterführt , um dann von dem großen Militärkomplex unterbrochen zu werden, Komplize einer radikalen Transformation der Savoy seit dem späten neunzehnten Jahrhundert.

Um sich vor Ort fortzubewegen, sind die Bahnhöfe nützlich, die auch den Bezirken Migliarina und Ca’ di Boschetti ihre Namen gegeben haben.

Man kann die Burg von San Giorgio, ein imposantes befestigtes Gebäude aus dem Jahr '600, besuchen, in dessen Inneren das Archäologische Museum Formentini beherbergt ist, mit einer Sammlung von Stele Statuen der Lunigiana, Ausstellungen von unglaublichen Wert, die von der antiken römischen Kolonie Luni stammen.

Es folgen dicht hintereinander die Kirche des Heiligen Johannes und Augustin, das Diözesan- und ethnographische Museum im ehemaligen Oratorium von San Bernardino, das Museum des Siegels, einzigartig auf der Welt, im Haus der Künste untergebracht, die CAMEC (Zentrum moderner und zeitgenössischer Kunst) und die Kathedrale von Christus dem König in Piazza Europa, vor kurzem renovierter Bereich um der zunehmenden Anzahl der Personen die in den Hafen Mirabello kommen, gerecht zu werden. restauriert wird um hier einen Garten genau in der Mitte der Stadt zu konstruieren. Es kann sein, dass die Befahrbarkeit der Strasse bis Viale Amendola kompromittiert ist (wo eine vorübergehende Bushaltestelle aufgestellt wurde). Im Jahr 1906 wird das erste Netz für Oberleitungsbusse Italiens genau hier in La Spezia eröffnet. Dieses System wurde vor kurzem durch umweltfreundliche Busse ersetzt. Der öffentliche Verkehr wird vom ATC betrieben, er bedient das Verkehrsnetz im gesamten Gemeindegebiet und auch die Strecken in die naheliegenden Gemeinden am Meer und den umliegenden Hügeln.

Die Linien L und P mit Endstation Lerici und Portovenere halten auch im Stadtzentrum und außerhalb entlang der Küste. Ein Fahrschein kostet ca. € 1,50 für 60 Minuten (es ist jedoch möglich einen Fahrschein mit dreistündiger Gültigkeit gegen einen Aufpreis zu kaufen). Vom Stadtzentrum aus werden so ca. 70 km im Umkreis abgedeckt und der Preis nimmt mit steigender Entfernung zu.

Seit kurzem gibt es einen Shuttlebus, der vom Parkplatz Palaspezia, nahe der Superstrada, und der Piazza D’Armi direkt ins Zentrum führt und nicht an allen Haltestellen hält. Im Sommer ändert sich der Fahrplan. Allen, denen es möglich ist, empfehlen wir mit dem Zug zu fahren, um die CO2 Abgase der Autos zu reduzieren und das schöne Panorama entlang der Küste zu genießen.

La cucina di La Spezia

Come molte delle cucine liguri, quella spezzina impiega ingredienti poveri, con l’utilizzo sapiente di erbe aromatiche. Il condimento principale è l'olio d'oliva a denominazione di origine controllata, e non mancano i vini sapidi, che sono l’emblema del microclima locale: il Cinque Terre Doc, il Lievantu doc, il Vermentino dei Colli di Luni e lo Sciacchetrà di Riomagiore, più indicato per i dolci. Vi consigliamo di assaggiarlo con una buona zuppa inglese o, in inverno, con una fetta di squisito castagnaccio.

Tra i primi piatti il più famoso è senza dubbio la mesciua, una zuppa calda fatta di granaglie e servita tiepida; nell’ordine, si continua con il minestrone alla genovese, una zuppa di verdure a volte passate e con l'aggiunta di pasta di piccole dimensioni, i testaroli, “testi” di pasta serviti con pesto o sugo di pomodoro, a volte con il sugo di noci raccolte fresche, la capponada, fatta con pane del giorno prima bagnato in aceto, acciughe salate, cipolle, pomodori, basilico, capperi e un po' di peperoncino rosso.

Le frittelle di farina di castagne di Villafranca e i panigacci di Podenzana, da servire anche loro con formaggi e salumi, sono il top dell’offerta per quanto riguarda gli antipasti.

Quello che però non troverete mai altrove, non cucinati con la stessa maestria, sono la farinata di farina di ceci, e gli sgabei, una pasta di lievito fritta e servita coi salumi locali.

Inutile dilungarsi sui piatti di pesce squisiti, in primo piano i muscoli – cozze – ripieni o in umido, con la polpa fatta in casa, e le frittelle di bianchetti: qualsiasi ristorante vi potrà offrire un assaggio secondo la sua personale interpretazione della ricetta. Principe dei secondi è il baccalà, fatto con la polenta o nella versione spezzina,

a cui si aggiunge, soffriggendole in un tegame, le bietole e il pomodoro. Cercate al mercato le acciughe di Tramonti, tenere e da mangiare con una spruzzata di limone.

Seppie in umido, brodo di naselli, branzino e orata al forno, con gli odori dell’orto, granchi di fosso alla griglia e in umido e totani ripieni – squisiti quelli di Lerici – coronano le portate.

Molti i prodotti biologici che arrivano dalla provincia, dalle carni, coniglio e pollame su tutti, al latte al vino, tantissima la pasta fatta in casa, sotto forma di trofie, trenette e bavette, o di cannolini da far in brodo, molti i prodotti tipici locali derivanti dalla pesca e dalle coltivazioni di olivi, viti e primizie, che si occupano di sciroppare pesche e albicocche o di mettere sott’olio carciofi, cipolle e peperoni.

The cuisine of La Spezia

Like other Ligurian towns, the cuisine in La Spezia uses simple ingredients, and aromatic herbs. The main dressing is DOC olive oil, there are plenty of tasty wines, which are the symbol of the local microclimate: Cinque Terre Doc, Lievantu Doc, Vermentino Colli di Luni and SciacchetrĂ from Riomagiore, a suitable wine for desserts. We suggest to taste it with a good trifle or in winter with a slice of delicious chestnut cake, castagnaccio.

Among the first courses the most famous is undoubtedly mesciua, a hot soup made of corn seeds served warm, we carry on with a Genoese minestrone, a vegetable soup, sometimes served adding small pasta; testaroli served with pesto sauce or tomato sauce and sometimes with walnut sauce; capponada, made with old bread dipped in vinegar, anchovies, onions, tomatoes, basil, capers and a little 'chili .

Chestnut fritters from Villafranca and panigacci from Podenzana, to serve with cheese and salami, are the best starters.

What you will never find elsewhere, cooked with the same ability, is farinata made of chickpea flour, and sgabei, a fried dough served with local salami.

La cuisine de La Spezia En principe, la cuisine de la Ligurie, tout comme à La Spezia, utilise des ingrédients simples, telles que les herbes aromatiques et l'huile d'olive d’appellation d'origine contrôlée, principal assaisonnement. Les vins savoureux du terroir ne manquent pas grâce au microclimat : le Cinque Terre Doc, le Lievantu Doc, le Vermentino des Colli di Luni, le Sciacchetrà de Riomagiore, ce dernier est approprié pour les desserts, à déguster avec une part de « zuppa inglese » ou avec une tranche du délicieux gâteau de châtaignes « il castagnaccio ».

Parmi « les premiers plats » (plat intermédiaire entre les hors d’œuvre et le plat consistant), on a : -la fameuse « mesciua », soupe servie chaude composée de légumes secs et de céréales. -le « minestrone genovese », soupe de légumes verts, passée ou non avec l’ajout en fin de cuisson de pâtes de petite dimension. -les « testaroli ou testi » grandes galettes de farine et eau servies avec du pesto ou de la sauce tomate ou encore avec une sauce aux noix fraiches cueillies. -la « capponada » pain rassis ramolli avec tomates, anchois, oignons, vinaigre, basilic, câpres et un peu de piment. Les beignets de farine de châtaignes de Villafranca et les « panigacci » de Podenzana servis avec fromages et charcuterie représentent le top des hors-d’œuvre. La « farinata », pâte de farine de pois chiches cuite au feu de bois qui n’existe nulle part ailleurs, et les « sgabei », gougères frittes servies avec de la charcuterie locale.

Inutile de décrire les nombreux et délicieux plats de poissons. A noter les moules, appelées ici les « cozze », cuisinées à la marinière ou farcies dont le garni est fait maison ; beignets de « bianchetti » tous jeunes petits poissons bleus. N’importe quel restaurant sera en mesure de vous offrir une panoplie de recettes selon sa propre interprétation. Le prince des plats principaux est le « baccalà » morue cuisinée avec la « polenta » farine de maïs, la version de La Spezia ajoute des blettes et tomates revenues dans la poêle.

Si vous avez la possibilité, achetez au marché « la piazza » du centre-ville, des anchois frais de Tramonti pour les mariner au citron ; des seiches à faire à l’étuvée ; du merlu à faire au bouillon ; des bars et dorades à cuire au four avec les aromes du jardin ; des crabes pour griller ou cuir à l’étuvée ; des calamars pour les farcir (ceux de Lerici sont exquis). Tout un choix pour décorer vos tables.

Beaucoup de produits biologiques proviennent du terroir, les viandes, les lapins et les volailles, le vin, le lait, les pâtes faites maison sous différentes formes « trofie, trenette, bavette, cannoloni ». D’autres produits typiques proviennent de la pêche ou de la culture des oliviers, de la vigne et des vergers dont les produits sont mis en conserves sous différentes formes, en sirop ou confitures pour les fruits ou sous huile pour les produits tels que les artichauts, les oignons et les poivrons.

L a Spezias Küche Wie bei den meisten ligurischen Speisen, werden auch bei denen von La Spezia eher „einfache“ Zutaten verwendet, mit wissender Anwendung von aromatischen Kräutern. Die wichtigste Zutat ist das Olivenöl, ein Qualitätsprodukt aus kontrolliertem Anbau und natürlich die schmackhaften Weine, die für das lokale Mikroklima typisch sind: der Cinqe Terre Doc, der Lievantu Doc, der Vermentino dei Collli di Luni sowie der Dessertwein Sciacchetrà aus Riomaggiore.

Wir empfehlen, ein Gläschen Sciacchetrà mit einer Zuppa Inglese (italienisches Biskuitdessert) oder im Winter mit einem Castagnaccio (Kastanienkuchen) zu verkosten. Zu den bekanntesten „primi“, den ersten Gängen, zählen zweifellos die Mesciua, eine Getreidesuppe, die lauwarm serviert wird; Die Genuesische Minestrone, eine Gemüsesuppe, die oft püriert und mit Nudeln serviert wird; die Testaroli, runde, Pfannkuchen ähnliche Teiglaibe, die mit Pesto, Tomatensauce oder manchmal mit frischer Nusssoße zubereitet werden, die Capponada, eine Art Salat mit in Essig getunktem Brot vom Vortag, Sardellen, Zwiebeln, Tomaten, Basilikum, Kapern und gemahlenem roten Pfeffer. Was man sonst nirgendwo essen kann, jedenfalls nicht mit demselben know how zubereitet, sind Farinata, eine pikante Torte, die nur aus Kichererbsenmehl, Oel und Salz besteht, sowie die Sgabei, frittierte Brötchen, die mit lokalem Aufschnitt serviert werden. Es ist nicht notwendig, sich über die ausgezeichneten Fischspezialitäten auszulassen; vor allem die hausgemachten, gefüllten oder marinierten Miesmuscheln und die frittierten Breitlingpfannkuchen: jedes Restaurant wird Ihnen gerne Kostproben mit individuellen Rezeptvarianten anbieten.

Das Beste der zweiten Gänge ist der Kabeljau, mit Polenta oder in der Version von La Spezia serviert, bei der man Rüben und Tomaten hinzufügt, die in einer Pfanne angedünstet werden . Suchen Sie auf dem Markt die Sardellen von Tramonti und genießen sie diese mit einem Spritzer Zitrone. L’ampia insenatura che contiene il Golfo della Spezia, allungata da Lerici fino a Portovenere, vale da sola i percorsi in trekking che passano tra boschi e colline, facili da attraversare anche per i più piccini.

Nei pressi dell'Orto botanico di Montemarcello o tra le viuzze dei borghi dell'Alta via dei Monti Liguri, alla Serra o a Pignone, o in bicicletta percorrendo le lunghe piste in riva al mare, dal sarzanese alla Versilia, ci sono momenti di relax per tutti i gusti.

Da Tellaro a Lerici, per esempio, i percorsi tagliano tra uliveti, boschi di cedro e prati incolti, mai perdendo di vista il panorama ombreggiato della costa; le Cinque Terre, a una ventina di minuti in auto da La Spezia, forniscono vie più sentieri, da quello classico che va da Riomaggiore a Vernazza, o da Manarola a Volastra, con tappa al bellissimo Santuario della Madonna della Salute. Anche il tour a piedi dell’isola della Palmaria, a Portovenere, è di notevole interesse per gli appassionati, con partenza dall’imbarcadero della Spezia, in battello.

Campiglia, attraversata dalla principali vie escursionistiche della Riviera spezzina, che vanno da Portovenere fino a Levanto, è un must per le serate romantiche: sulla strada collinare, dove un tempo i campigliesi si occupavano dei terrazzamenti, un sacco di sentieri, anche ad anello, portano in diverse aree della zona limitrofa. Meravigliosa l’area marina di Tramonti, raggiungibile con il sentiero del Persico, segnato con il n.11 nella cartina del Club alpino, a partire dalla località di Acquasanta.

Nei dintorni, raggiungibili in macchina, subito dopo Campiglia e Tramonti e in direzione di Portovenere, spiccano le vedute di Cadimare, minuscolo borgo di pescatori specializzato nel cucinare ottimo pesce alla brace, e Le Grazie, con un'antica tradizione nell'ambito della cantieristica navale e una piccola baia attrezzata per il diporto delle imbarcazioni.

Nell’entroterra, Pignone a Carrodano, con i boschi e le aree carsiche, Riccò del Golfo, Sesta Godano, Rocchetta di Vara e Bolano, a loro volta con le pievi e i castelli medievali, vecchissimi centri commerciali arroccati tra torrenti e crinali, vi aspettano per condividere atmosfere tipicamente cinquecentesche, in paesaggi rurali dove l’agricoltura è ancora parte preponderante dell’economia.

Da Ortonovo e Castelnuovo, scendendo per Santo Stefano, si fa il giro dalla parte opposta dello spezzino, fino a Sarzana, città d’arte famosa per i ritrovi serali e l’impressionante Fortezza Firmafede.

Anche se natura e contesti peculiari sono confinati nella periferia, la città di La Spezia conserva molte delle sue attrattive storiche. Da via Chiodo, attraversata da tutte le linee ATC, si può visitare via Prione innanzitutto, lunga e stretta come i tipici carrugi genovesi e ricca di

vie secondarie, su cui si affacciano le antiche residenze dei marchesi Doria. E’ il cuore dello shopping spezzino, e conta diversi affittacamere a prezzi economici. Abbiamo quindi Piazza Sant’Agostino e Corso Cavour, sede del cuore liberty della città e della chiesetta omonima. Piazza Verdi, al centro, è dominata dal palazzo delle Poste e dalla vicina Villa Marmori, oggi sede del Conservatorio musicale. Di fronte a Piazza Europa, e fatte poche scale, si arriva alla Cattedrale di Cristo Re, superba nella sua pianta circolare di recente costruzione, con la cupola che domina dall’alto tutta la città.

Se da poco è stato inaugurato il Porto Mirabello, verso Lerici vi potrete imbattere in un porticciolo altrettanto ricercato, il complesso di Porto Lotti, che non solo è un luogo di posteggio per yatch e catamarani ma, godendo di una posizione privilegiata per raggiungere ogni punto del litorale, diventa facilmente sede di mirabili attenzioni e di grande cultura per gli armatori. Ospita spesso mostre ed eventi, ed è dotato di tutte le strutture.

Buono a sapersi: La Spezia è anche sagra, sport e buona musica. A luglio c’è l’Artsenal Festival che ospita personaggi del teatro e della danza fra i più illustri del panorama contemporaneo, richiamando giovani e meno giovani da tutto il Nord Italia, coronato da eventi musicali che andranno avanti fino a estate inoltrata.

Ogni anno, la prima domenica d’agosto vede svolgersi, nelle acque antistanti la passeggiata a mare, il Palio del Golfo. Si tratta di una gara a remi tra tredici imbarcazioni realizzate a mano da artigiani locali, tredici come le borgate marinare coinvolte in questa secolare tradizione remiera.

Il 19 di marzo cade la giornata del patrono spezzino, San Giuseppe, che si festeggia con una fila di bancarelle dislocate per il percorso dei Giardini Storici. Nel percorso, che è assolutamente libero, potrete assaggiare bontà tipiche e non, ma per i veri golosi bisogna aspettare fino a dicembre, quando le migliori specialità gastronomiche del levante vengono convogliate nel Centro Fieristico Spezia Expò (raggiungibile in bus navetta) per una degustazione lunga un sogno.

Collegato sempre al Centro Fieristico, il maggior evento commerciale dell’anno per la città di La Spezia è sicuramente la Fiera Campionaria, a marzo, una delle manifestazioni più importanti e che coinvolge una vasta offerta merceologica e dei servizi, con i maggiori brand della città in esposizione. Intorno al periodo natalizio, numerose e suggestive nella provincia sono le sedi per le rievocazioni del Cristo degli Abissi, dove gli elementi di spicco dei corpi scelti della Marina Militare ci incantano con le loro iniziative subacquee. La Spezia consente ai suoi ospiti, oltre a questo, di godere di una stagione autunnale che sfrutta tutti i colori del sottobosco e dell’entroterra, in periodo invernale soprattutto. Vicinissime le piste da sci delle stazioni di Zeri in Lunigiana (l’unica stazione sciistica in Italia dove si può sciare guardando il mare) e di quella del Cerreto, già provincia di Reggio Emilia ma a solo un’ora di auto dal centro città.

The wide inlet that contains the Gulf of La Spezia, stretches from Lerici to Portovenere, the easy paths that run through the woods and the hills are worth seeing, and suitable also for families with children.

Near the Bothanical Park in Montemarcello or in the alleys of the villages located on the High path of the Ligurian Mountains, in La Serra or in Pignone, cycling or going along the paths by the sea, from Sarzana to Versilia it is possible to find relaxing moments for all tastes.

Campiglia is crossed by the main hiking routes of the Riviera Spezzina, that go from Portovenere to Deiva Marina, the hilly roads are a must for romantic evenings, once the inhabitants of Campiglia took care of the terraces, the many trails, even circular trails lead to different neighboring areas.

The wonderful marine area of Tramonti, can be reached walking along Persico path, which is marked number 11 on the map of the Alpine Club, the starting point is from the area of Acquasanta.

The surroundings can be reached by car, just after Campiglia and Tramonti, going towards Portovenere, Cadimare stands out with its views, it is a tiny fishing village where they cook an excellent grilled fish and the village Le Grazie, that has an old tradition in shipbuilding, there is a small bay equipped for pleasure boats.

A ccueil, tourisme et événements La baie du Golfe de La Spezia qui s’étend de Lerici à l’Est à Portovenere à l’Ouest est entourée de collines et de bois, faciles à parcourir pour grands et petits.

Près du Jardin botanique de Montemarcello, parmi les ruelles des villages de l'Alta Via des Monts Ligures, à la Serra, à Pignone, sur le littoral Sarzanese ou de la Versilia, on y trouve des moments de relax pour tous les goûts.

Il y a de belles randonnées pédestres de Tellaro à Lerici qui coupent au travers des oliveraies, des forêts de cèdres et des champs en friche avec vue sur la côte. Le territoire des Cinque Terre, à vingt minutes en voiture de La Spezia, offre chemins et sentiers ; les classiques sont ceux de Riomaggiore à Vernazza, de Manarola à Volastra avec arrêt au beau Sanctuaire de Notre-Dame de la Santé. A considérer aussi la visite à pied sur l'île Palmaria en partant soit du Molo de la Spezia, soit du débarcadère de Portovenere.

Campiglia, un must pour les soirées romantiques, est traversé par les principaux sentiers pédestres de la Riviera de La Spezia qui vont de Portovenere à Levanto. De sa route vallonnée, où autrefois les habitants des lieux cultivaient les champs en terrasses, se croisent de nombreux sentiers qui portent aux zones limitrophes. Entre les deux, le port de plaisance Porto Lotti, qui non seulement est un lieu de passage pour yachts et catamarans mais son emplacement sur le littoral particulièrement convoité est devenu le siège de rencontre des armateurs. De plus, grâce à sa structure particulièrement équipée, il accueille expositions et événements.

La Spezia est également festival, sport et bonne musique.

En Juillet se tient le Festival Artsenal qui accueille des personnalités du théâtre et de la danse des plus illustres de la scène contemporaine, attirant jeunes et moins jeunes de toute l'Italie du Nord, le tout couronné par des événements musicaux qui se poursuivent jusqu'à la fin de l'été.

Chaque année le premier dimanche d'Août, sur les eaux devant la promenade le long de la jetée Morin, se déroule le traditionnel Palio del Golfo. Il s’agit d’une compétition d'aviron entre les treize bourgades qui contournent le golfe de La Spezia avec les treize embarcations construites aux soins des artisans locaux.

trois jours une foire se tient au milieu des jardins et de la ville pour commémorer la fête du Saint patron. Tout au long des nombreux stands, vous pouvez déguster des spécialités culinaires et non. Pour rester dans le Centro Fieristico, le plus grand événement commercial annuel de la ville de La Spezia est la Fiera Campionaria qui se tient elle aussi au mois de mars. Cette manifestation expose un large éventail de produits et de services des meilleurs leaders de la ville.

Durant la période de Noël, de nombreuses célébrations sont organisées dans les localités du département pour fêter la naissance du Christ (Cristo degli Abissi a Camogli - crèche sousmarine le long de certaines bourgades du littoral grâce à la participation de sub).

Dans les forêts et les campagnes du département de La Spezia, les multi couleurs de l’automne ravissent les romantiques.

Die weite Bucht, die sich von Lerici bis nach Portofino erstreckt, ist schon wegen der zahlreichen Wanderwege, die über Hügel und durch Wälder führen und auch für Jüngere leicht zu durchqueren sind, einen Besuch wert. Es gibt hier Momente der Entspannung für jeden Geschmack , sei es im Botanischen Garten von Montemarcello oder in den Gassen der hoch oben gelegenen Dörfer der ligurischen Berge, sei es auf dem Fahrrad entlang der langen Pisten am Meer, von Sarzana bis nach Versilia. Zum Beispiel gehen die Wege von Tellaro nach Lerici direkt durch Olivenhaine, Zedernwälder und Felder und verlieren nie den schattigen Blick auf die Küste; die Cinque Terre, die zwanzig Autominuten von La Spezia entfernt sind, bieten Strassen und Pfade an, vom klassischen, der von Riomaggiore nach Vernazza oder von Manarola nach Volastra geht, mit Halt an der schönen Wallfahrtskirche „Madonna della Salute“. Auch die Wanderung auf der Insel Palmaria in Portovenere ist von großem Interesse für Liebhaber, ab der Anlegestelle der Touristenboote die in La Spezia abfahren. Campiglia, durch die die Hauptwanderwege La Spezias nach Portovenere bis nach Levanto führen, ist ein Muss für romantische Abende: auf der hügeligen Straße, wo sich die Campigliesi einst der Pflege der Terrassen widmeten, führen viele Wanderwege, auch ringförmig, in verschiedene benachbarte Bereiche. In der näheren Umgebung, mit dem Auto erreichbar, sieht man direkt nach Campiglia und Tramonti in Richtung Portovenere, Cadimare, ein winziges Fischerdorf das für die Küche seines ausgezeichneten Fisches auf dem Grill spezialisiert ist und Le Grazie, das mit einer antiken Tradition im Marineschiffbau und einer kleinen Bucht für Sportboote ausgestattet ist. Im Inland Pignone a Carrodano mit Wäldern und Karstgebieten, Riccò del Golfo, Sesta Godano, Rocchetta di Vara und Bolano mit wiederum mittelalterlichen Kirchen und Burgen sowie sehr alten Einkaufszentren inmitten von Strömen und Kämmen, die Sie erwarten, um typische Atmosphären aus dem sechzehnten Jahrhundert zu teilen, in ländlichen Umgebung, wo die Landwirtschaft immer noch dominanter Teil der Wirtschaft ist. Von da kommt man direkt auf die Piazza Sant’Agostino und den Corso Cavour, wo man Jugendstilbauten und eine kleine Kirche findet. Auf der Piazzaa Verdi stechen das Gebäude der Post und die nahe gelegene Villa Marmori, heute Sitz des Musikkonservatoriums, hervor. Gegenüber der Piazza Europa, nach ein paar Treppen, kommt man an die Cattedrale di Cristo Re, eine beeindruckende Rundkirche, die erst vor kurzem gebaut wurde und deren Kuppel von oben die ganze Stadt beherrscht. Wenn vor kurzem der Hafen „Mirabello“ eröffnet wurde, kann man in Richtung Lerici auf einen gleichfalls sehr beliebten Hafen stoßen, den Hafen „Lotti“, der nicht nur ein Anlegeplatz für Yachten und Katamarane ist, sondern auf Grund seiner günstigen Lage ein idealer Ausgangspunkt ist, um alle Ortschaften entlang der Küste zu besuchen, und schnell zu einem bestens ausgestatteten Ort von großer Bedeutung für die Reeder wird. Es finden hier zahlreiche Ausstellungen und Veranstaltungen statt.Gut zu wissen: La Spezia ist auch für Volksfeste, Sport und gute Musik bekannt.

Quando si soggiorna a La Spezia, è opportuno non dimenticarsi del contesto fuori dal mare.

Degni di nota i Giardini Storici, aperti al pubblico, un piccolo orto botanico nel cuore cittadino, proprio davanti al centro storico di via Chiodo. Al suo interno, dove non mancano panchine per riposarsi, è possibile ammirare esemplari della flora locale come i cedri odorosi del levante. Per chi non vuole rinunciare al mare, la passeggiata Morin si trova subito lì di fronte, dove aspettano chioschi e punti di ristoro in abbondanza.

La stagione migliore per godersi il clima indulgente di La Spezia non è, contrariamente a quanto si pensi, l’estate, ma gli ultimi giorni di primavera prima di questa. Non essendo attrezzata con una spiaggia vera e propria (per i bagni c’è Lerici a dieci minuti e Portovenere ad altrettanti), la città viene vissuta al massimo nei giorni di caldo mite, quando i fiori nei parchi sono un esplosione di colori e le attività commerciali spesso vengono incontro al turista con prezzi ribassati.

Lo stesso beneficio del clima si ottiene anche andando verso l’entroterra, nel percorso che costeggia il monte Alpicella per risalire poi sino al monte Gottero, dove si possono ammirare boschi rigogliosi di carpini e betulle e tutta la serie di biodiversità dell’Appennino Tosco Emiliano, imbattendoci persino in anemoni ed orchidee spontanee. Vicino ad Arcola, vi aspetta l’Oasi Lipu di S. Genesio, una delle attrattive

maggiori per gli appassionati di bird watching, facente parte del Parco Naturale Regionale di Montemarcello-Magra.

Proprio quest’ultimo si occupa di tutelare l'area fluviale comprendente il tratto di fiume Magra che scorre in territorio ligure, dal promontorio del Caprione che, in località Arcola, si spinge verso il mare fino a Punta Bianca: da un lato abbraccia il Golfo di La Spezia ed il mare aperto, dall'altro la foce del Magra, la piana di Luni e le Apuane, in un arco di diciotto comuni tra cui Brugnato, Pignone, Santo Stefano Magra e Sarzana.

Immersi nella vegetazione mediterranea, tra macchie di leccio, mirto, imbattendosi nel cisto bianco (Cistus albidus) e nel biancoscpino sul Caprione, di ci si lascia cullare dalla tranquillità delle zone umide, ove nidificano uccelli acquatici, arrivando all'area protetta di Montemarcello, vera gioia per gli occhi.

Magnifiche anche le querce da sughero cresciute pressoché indisturbate in direzione delle Cinque Terre. Nel camminare immersi nel verde, a volte i boschi lasciano spazio ai pascoli e alle alture coltivate a terrazze, finendo così, inevitabilmente, per darvi uno scorcio paradisiaco del Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre e del suo mare pulito. Attenzione, tuttavia, a non allontanarsi dai sentieri battuti. Il reticolo di sentieri per gli amanti di questo sport è molto fitto e bisogna informasi bene per non rischiare di perdersi.

Lors de votre séjour à La Spezia, ne soyez pas attirés que par la mer, regardez aussi autour de vous. La plupart des remarquables jardins sont publics dont un petit jardin botanique qui se dévoile au centre-ville, en face du centre historique de Via Chiodo. Et pour ceux qui ne renoncent en rien à la mer, faites la promenade sur la jetée Morin où vous attendent kiosques et bars.

La meilleure saison pour profiter du clément climat de La Spezia n’est pas l’été, contrairement au dire populaire, mais plutôt vers la fin du printemps. La Spezia ne possède pas de plage, cependant à une dizaine de minutes vous avez les stations balnéaires de Lerici et Portovenere. Un po’ di storia Ricca è la storia di La Spezia, senz’altro molto più antica di molte altre cittadine italiane fiorite sulla costa. Peraltro, indubbiamente unica nel suo genere: di come sia nato il suo nome non si hanno fonti certe, piace agli storici ricondurlo alla funzione ospedaliera che poteva rivestire o, molto più probabilmente, visti i suoi commerci, alla presenza della tassa sul sale, elemento principe fra i generi di prima necessità nelle tavole degli aristocratici e che veniva spedito in tutta Europa.

Nell’Alto Medioevo, entra sotto la giurisdizione dei vescovi di Luni, signori

del Golfo, in lotta con le signorie locali discendenti dagli Obertenghi, Vezzano, Lavagna e Da Passano. L’influenza di Genova comincerà ad imporsi intorno al XII secolo, e solo successivamente La Spezia entrerà a far parte, nel 1273 e dopo una breve parentesi sotto le mire d’ambizione di Niccolò Fieschi, della nuova podesteria di Carpena, fino a diventare sede a sè nel 1343. Al 1407 risalgono gli Statuti del borgo.

Nel 1797 fa parte della Repubblica Democratica Ligure, su diretto decreto dell’allora generale Bonaparte, cominciando il suo vero sviluppo economico e demografico.

Napoleone, che nutriva ambiziosi progetti militari, riconobbe nella Spezia e nella sua nervatura di strade, nel suo

contesto ambientale protetto dal golfo, il baluardo marittimo del suo futuro impero, celebrandola, anche dopo la sconfitta, come la città con “il più bel porto dell’universo”. Quasi un secolo più tardi, sotto la guida di Domenico Chiodo, prende il via il progetto dell’Arsenale Militare, fiore all’occhiello della marina di svariati ettari e comprensivo di quasi tredici chilometri di strade al suo interno, al quale la città si fonde come una vera e propria propaggine vitale, dando lavoro a operai, ingegneri, cartografi.

A cavallo tra il primo e il secondo decennio del novecento, La Spezia conosce anche un inusuale slancio artistico, centro del modernismo e di salotti a sfondo futurista; nemmeno la seconda guerra mondiale, con i suoi bombardamenti, riuscirà a minare lo spirito di Spezia, che sulle montagne del Gottero farà valere le operazioni della resistenza partigiana, portando, nei mesi successivi, la libertà alla città prima ancora dell'arrivo degli Alleati.

Attualmente, Spezia sta cercando di dotarsi di nuove infrastrutture sia stradali che sociali, sviluppando un’accoglienza verso i turisti e gli investitori oculati mediante quei servizi rimasti poco considerati fino allo scadere del secondo millennio. Le nuove generazioni stanno capendo l’importanza dell’integrazione europea e lo slancio economico è proteso a colmare i gap del passato per soddisfare le nuove esigenze dettate dalla bellezza della città e dall’evolversi dei mercati non solo immobiliari, ma su larga scala industriale.

The history of La Spezia is rich and certainly much older compared to many other towns that are along the coast, we can say unique in its kind.

As regards the name of the town, there are several opinions about it, the historians believe that it was probably for its hospital role, but perhaps because of its trades and the salt tax, which was a basic necessity in the houses of the aristocrats, as it was shipped throughout Europe.

In the Dark Ages, the town was under the jurisdiction of the bishops of Luni, who as lords of the Gulf, struggled against the descendants of the local lords Obertenghi, Vezzano, Lavagna and Da Passano.

The influence of Genoa begun around the twelfth century, but only in 1273, after a brief period under the Fieschi family, La Spezia became part of the jurisdiction of Genoa as well as Carpena.

After 1371 the town became the administrative seat of the eastern Riviera. The statutes of the town date back to 1407. In 1797 the town was part of the Ligurian Democratic Republic, as per direct decree of the General Napoleon Bonaparte, this started its real economic and demographic development.

Napoleon, who had ambitious military plans, understood that La Spezia, with its narrow streets, situated in an environment protected by a gulf, could becone the maritime bulwark of his future empire; after his defeat he celebrated the town as the city with "the most beautiful harbor of the universe ".

Almost a century later, with Domenico Chiodo as leader, the project of the Military Arsenal started, this became the feather in the cap of the Navy, with its several hectares, that included nearly thirteen kilometers of inner roads, blended with the city as a real vital offshot, it employed workers, engineers and cartographers.

In that period La Spezia acquired another kind of popularity, not less important than the military and commercial sectors, as a place for elite tourism, when the royal families and the most brilliant intellectual minds came here on holiday, the town changed its civil architecture, a soul innovator with an impulse towards the future .

Between the first and second decade of the twentieth century, also La Spezia had an unusual artistic momentum, it was the centre of modernism and futuristic cultural gathering backgrounds; not even the bombing of the Second World War, weakened its spirit, as on the mountains of Gottero the partisans resistance helped to free the town before the arrival of the Allies.

At present La Spezia is trying to build new infrastructures and to develop its hospitality towards tourists and cautious investors, through services that were not considered important until the end of the second millennium.

The new generations understand the importance of a European integration; the economic dash is trying to fill the gaps of the past, to meet new requirements of beauty due to the development of the markets, not just of the real estate sector, but also on a larger industrial scale.

La Spezia est riche en histoire et unique en son genre, elle est certainement la plus antique par rapport aux autres villes italiennes apparues sur la côte. Aucunes traces sûres n’expliquent l’origine de son nom. Les historiens aiment la reconduire à sa fonction hospitalière qu’elle recouvrait. À l’époque, existait un important commerce du sel et d’épices « le spezie » qui étaient expédiées dans toute l’Europe. Le sel représentait le principal impôt taxé des matières premières convoité des aristocrates pour mettre sur leur table.

Au début du moyen-âge, La Spezia est soumise aux évêques de Luni, seigneurs du Golfe qui luttaient contre les descendants des seigneurs locaux Obertenghi, Vezzano, Lavagna et Da Passano. Napoleon, der ehrgeizige Militärprojekte hegte, sah in der Stadt La Spezia, mit ihrem Netz an Straßen und ihrer vom Golf geschützten natürlichen Umgebung, das Bollwerk am Meer für sein zukünftiges Reich. Auch nach seiner Niederlage feierte er La Spezia noch als die Stadt mit dem schönsten Hafen des Universums. Fast ein Jahrhundert später wird unter Führung von Domenico Chiodo das Projekt des Militärarsenals ins Leben gerufen, das mehrere Hektar groß ist und ein Straßennetz von fast 13 km umfasst, ein Vorbild für die italienische Marine und lebenswichtiger Wirtschaftszweig für die Stadt, in dem Facharbeiter, Ingenieure und Kartografen Arbeit finden konnten. In La Spezia entfaltete sich auch ein Zweig, der nicht weniger Bedeutung als Rüstungsindustrie und Handel hatte: der elitäre Tourismus, der sich in der zivilen Architektur, in innovativen Ideen und einem großen Aufschwung niederschlug. Zwischen dem ersten und dem zweiten Jahrzehnt des zwanzigsten Jahrhunderts lernt La Spezia auch eine ungewöhnliche künstlerische Dynamik kennen, Zentrum des Modernismus und Salons mit futuristischen Hintergrund; auch dem Zweiten Weltkrieg mit seinen Bombenangriffen wird es nicht gelingen, den Geist La Spezias zu untergraben. In den Bergen von Gottero werden die Operationen der Partisanen unterstützt was in den darauffolgenden Monaten der Stadt die Freiheit noch vor Ankunft der Alliierten einbringt.

Um Touristen und umsichtige Investoren anzulocken, versucht die Stadt heute eine neue Infrastruktur, sowohl Straßen als auch soziale Einrichtungen, ins Leben zu rufen, was bis Ende des vorigen Jahrtausends vernachlässigt worden ist. Die junge Generation hat die Wichtigkeit der europäischen Integration erkannt. Der wirtschaftliche Aufschwung soll die Kluften der Vergangenheit schließen und den neuen Ansprüchen gerecht werden, die vom Anmut der Stadt und der Entwicklung der Märkte bestimmt werden. Das betrifft nicht nur den Immobilienmarkt sondern auch viele Industriezweige.

Luoghi d’interesse

In piazza Giulio Beverini è possibile fare una visita alla chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta, in realtà più un’abbazia che una chiesa. E’ forse l’edificio di culto più antico di Spezia. Pur avendo subito il bombardamento della guerra e il conseguente rifacimento, non perde niente del suo fascino cristiano, e della tipica architettura ligure: divisa in ampie navate scandite da colonne,

e da due più piccole navate minori, la copertura esterna è a volta, con costoloni in pietra grigia su intonaco giallo chiaro, conferendole quell’aspetto “a bande” caratteristico.

Simile per età e struttura è la chiesa di Nostra Signora della Neve, ubicata in via Garibaldi, molto più bizantina della precedente e sicuramente più ricca nell’uso dei materiali dell’interno in genere e del pulpito, ad opera di Angiolo del Santo, ripartita a tre navate e con soffitto a cassettoni. Anch’essa decorata a fasce alternate, vi si accede per mezzo di una ampia scalinata.

Uno dei tre portali, quello centrale, ha un protiro riccamente decorato. Una coppia di falsi campanili laterali ne completano l'insieme, mentre il campanile vero e proprio si eleva al fondo della fiancata destra, sulla via Napoli.

Nella centralissima Piazza Europa, su una posizione privilegiata, sorge l’imponente Cattedrale del Cristo Re: con una inconfondibile struttura a pianta circolare, protetta da un ampio sagrato, all'interno dodici pilastri delimitano un ambulacro, racchiudendo l'aula centrale che può contenere fino a 2.500 persone. Costruito nel 1929, l’edificio vinse il concorso per la costruzione della nuova Cattedrale, e suo ideatore fu l’architetto Brenno Del Giudice, ma il progetto rimase accantonato fino al 1956, quando venne ripreso e completamente modificato da Adalberto Libera. In sede di realizzazione, l’originale progetto di Libera è stato in parte rivisto da Cesare Galeazzi. Nella cripta a volta sono custodite le reliquie di San Venerio, la tomba della mistica Itala Mela e dei primi vescovi della Diocesi.

La Spezia è anche famosa per il suo Museo d’arte Moderna e Contamporanea (CAMeC), ex sede del palazzo di giustizia e riadattato per scenari ed atmosfere alle opere più discusse dell’epoca recente, sito in piazza C. Battisti. Sviluppandosi in altezza e in diversi vani costruiti appositamente per esposizioni e convegni, culmina in due vaste terrazze all’aperto, utilizzate per ospitare le opere in mostra, ma anche per sbirciare la città da una diversa prospettiva. Il museo conserva una raccolta del premio del Golfo e le collezioni Cozzani e Battolini. Oltre a queste, si ammirano lavori di Jacopo Benassi, Cinzio Cavallarin, Mauro Melis, Monica Michelotti, Ottonella Mocellin – Nicola Pellegrini, Romano Rizzato e Diet Sayler tra i molti.

Vengono periodicamente organizzate anche altre esposizioni temporanee.

Più piccolo e discreto, e di tutt’altra natura, sulla via Prione si affaccia il museo Amedeo Lia, che prende il nome dal collezionista al quale si devono le maggiori opere donate alla struttura, in esposizione, che spaziano dalle miniature medievali ad una ricca collezione di dipinti seicenteschi.

Storico castrum della sezione interna della città, il castello di San Giorgio, con la parte ancora intatta delle sue mura, si impone sull’abitato sopra il colle de Il Poggio, conservando un alone di misticismo proprio delle fortificazioni feudali.

San Giorgio è il monumento più emblematico del passato di La Spezia: la sua torre è incorporata alla parte più alta della struttura, che oggi dà accesso solo ad una piccola parte delle fondamenta che furono. Nel 1443, il castello subì delle considerevoli opere di restauro con l’aggiunta di un’ala alla parte inferiore del castello, costruita per l’utilizzo delle armi da fuoco. Successivo anche il bastione, al fine di rafforzare la difesa. Purtroppo non è più visibile, ma recentemente

le rovine sono tornate alla superficie nella zona del campus universitario dietro al castello. Il castello ospita inoltre il museo archeologico Formentini (altrimenti conosciuto come Museo del Castello di San Giorgio), un luogo di incredibile importanza in fatto di reperti preistorici, oltre che casa delle misteriose statue stele. Ubaldo Formentini, da cui prende il nome, viene ricordato poichè direttore della Biblioteca e del Museo Civico tra il 1923 e il 1958, protagonista della vita culturale spezzina, fino a diventare massimo promotore della storia e del costume della gente di Lunigiana.

Per gli estimatori del genere, in viale Amendola il Museo Tecnico Navale si getta nel passato dell’arte marinaresca, e tiene vivo il ricordo di una città indissolubilmente legata al suo Arsenale con la diretta collaborazione dell'Ufficio Storico dello Stato Maggiore della Marina Militare.

Lo scopo della struttura è mantenere vivo il culto delle tradizioni della Marina, raccogliendo e promuovendo informazioni e vestigia del suo passato di gloria. Attraverso una collezione di anfore romane, modelli di imbarcazioni, uniformi d’epoca e reperti pregiati, come quelli di maggior mole tra i quali la poppa della Stella Polare, il MAS di Luigi Rizzo, il Grillo ed altri, in un viaggio nel tempo tra la guerra e i suoi cimeli e la passione dell’uomo per il mare che non ha età, la nuova esposizione tende ad illustrare al visitatore l'evoluzione della nave e dell’arte marinaresca nel corso degli anni, fino a giungere alla nostra epoca.

Il museo è dotato, in più, di oltre 150 modelli di imbarcazioni, dai sommergibili alle torpediniere, prototipi di armi subacquee e antichi modelli di armi d’assalto.

Ma la vera punta di diamante, a La Spezia, è l’innovativo Porto Mirabello, inaugurato nel settembre 2010 dopo una massiccia opera di bonifica, assieme alla costruzione dei relativi pontili.

Lo troviamo nella rada tra la Darsena Duca degli Abruzzi e il Porto Mercantile, cresciuto su una penisola artificiale di 40.000 mq e uno specchio d’acqua di 270.000 mq circa, che mantiene inalterata la costa, valorizzandola e dotandola di ogni confort, completandola con ormeggi per imbarcazioni fino a 100 mt e i larghi moli d’attracco, utili per il parcheggio auto in prossimità del posto barca. L’ingresso, con orario d’accesso continuato, è sul versante est, a ridosso del molo frangiflutti che si sviluppa lungo l’asse ponente-levante, a protezione dai venti dei quadranti meridionali.

Il Mirabello offre 407 posti barca, prediligendo un target alto, tutto dedicato ai mega yacht e al luxury style. Mette a disposizione un eliporto per l’atterraggio degli elicotteri, 1300 parcheggi privati e uno staff qualificato per l’attracco e la manutenzione dei natanti ; in sinergia con l’Autorità Portuale di La Spezia sono stai realizzati oltre 700 posti barca per natanti di lunghezza inferiore ai 14 metri, ricavati su 13 pontili galleggianti, situati all’esterno del molo principale. La vicinanza con paesi quali Lerici, Porto Venere, Cinque Terre e Portofino, ma anche alle maggiori isole del Tirreno, lo rende ideale punto di partenza per brevi crociere verso le più affascinanti mete turistiche, toccando Capri, la Costa Amalfitana o lo splendida Porto Cervo in Sardegna.

Il complesso è stato realizzato nel totale riguardo della natura e dell’ambiente, e per questo ha ottenuto il riconoscimento della Bandiera Blu 2013 Approdi Turistici.

In Piazza Giulio Beverini you can pay a visit to the church of Santa Maria Assunta, actually it is more like an abbey than a church. The church is probably the oldest religious building of La Spezia.

Even if it was bombed during the war, it was subsequently renovated and it hasn't lost its Christian charm, with the typical Ligurian architecture, divided into wide naves with columns on both sides, and two smaller aisles, the outer cover is vaulted, with grey stones on top of the light yellow plaster, with the characteristic stripes. Similar in age and structure is the church of Nostra Signora della Neve, located in Via Garibaldi, it has a Byzantine style, the materials used inside are in general richer compared to the other church, the pulpit was made by the sculptor Angiolo Del Santo. The church is divided by three naves and has a panelled ceiling. The facade is decorated with alternating stripes and the access is through a gate and wide steps. One of the three portals, the central one, has a richly decorated prothyrum. There are two fake bell towers on both sides, the real bell tower is the on bottom of the church, on the right side, in Via Napoli. In the central Piazza Europa, on a privileged location, is the imposing Cathedral of Cristo Re: with an unmistakable circular structure, protected by a wide churchyard, inside there are twelve pillars marking off an ambulator and its central hall, that can hold up to 2,500 people. When the Diocese moved to La Spezia in 1929, it was important to create something that could join the centre of the town with the eastern part, so a competition was called, it was won by the architect Brenno Del Giudice, unfortunately the project was shelved until 1956, when it was completely altered by another architech Adalberto Libera, who understood the potentiality of the new church with its wide square in front, so he decided to emphasized the religiuos area, placing the church yards behind the building, the cathedral is just like a big ring that ideally and phisically joins these areas.

During implementation, the original project of the

architech Adalberto Libera was partially changed by the architech Cesare Galeazzi. In the vaulted crypt there are the relics of Saint Venerio, the tomb of the mystic Itala Mela and the first bishops of the Diocese. The cathedral was consecrated, only in 1975.

La Spezia is also famous for its Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (CAMeC), the building in the past was the Palace of Justice, it was then adapted to host the most disputed scenarios, recent works and atmospheres, it is located in Cesare Battisti square. The building develops in height and has several rooms built especially for exhibitions and conferences, on the roof there are two large terraces, also used to display works of art and to look at the town from a different prospect. The museum houses the collection of the Gulf prize and also the collections Cozzani and Battolini; you can also admire works by Jacopo Benassi, Cinzio Cavallarin, Mauro Melis, Monica Michelotti, Ottonella Mocellin, Nicola Pellegrini, Romano Rizzato and Diet Sayler among many others.

The museum organizes regularly temporary exhibitions.

Certainly smaller and more discreete, is another museum which has a completely different character, the museum Amedeo Lia in Via del Prione, its name comes from the collector Amedeo Lia, who donated the majority of the works, that belong to different periods, Medioeval miniatures and a rich collection of paintings of the seventeenth century. The castle of Saint George is a historic castrum, located in the inner part of the town, with its untouched walls, it overlooks the buildings from above the hill Il Poggio, it has a sort of mysticism aura, typical of the Medioeval fortifications. The castle of Saint George is the most emblematic monument of the past of La Spezia: its tower is built in the highest part of the structure, and leads to a small part of the old foundations.

In 1443, the castle underwent a considerable renovation, a new wing was added in the the lower part of the castle, for using weapons; also the bastion was built after, in order to increase the defense, unfortunately this is no longer visible, recently some ruins have been found in the area of the university campus, behind the castle.

(known as the Museum of the Castle of Saint George), a place of incredible importance as regards prehistoric artefacts, it houses the mysterious stele statues.

The name of the museum Ubaldo Formentini, was given to remembered the director of the Library and Museum, who worked there from 1923 to 1958, and was also a protagonist of the cultural life of La Spezia, he was the biggest promoter of the history and customs of the people of Lunigiana.

For those who love art and history there is also the Naval Technical Museum in Viale Amendola, with an important display of nautical objects of the past, this museum maintains a strong link between the town and its arsenal, thanks to the help of the historical office of the General Staff of the Navy. The purpose of the museum is to maintain the nautical traditions, gathering and promoting information and traces of its glorious past, through a collection of Roman amphorae, models of ancient boats, old uniforms and precious finds, among which there is the stern of the Polar Star, MAS by Luigi Rizzo, Grillo and others, a sort of flashback during the war with its relics, the love of men for sea has no age; the new exhibition tries to illustrate the evolution of the ships and the nautical art over the years, up to now. The museum has in addition, more than 150 models of boats, submarines, torpedo boats, prototypes of underwater weapons and old models of assault weapons. The real gem of La Spezia, is the innovative Mirabello Port, which was inaugurated in September 2010 after a massive reclamation and the construction of its piers. It is located in the bay,between the docks Duca degli Abruzzi and the Mercantile port, it has an artificial peninsula of 40,000 square metres and a stretch of water of 270,000 square metres; this area has not changed the coast, enhancing and providing every type of comfort, there are moorings for boats up to 100 metres wide and the big docks useful for parking, near the boats. The port is open all day, the entrance is on the east side, near the breakwater which runs along the west-east axis, to protect it from the southern winds.

Mirabello Port offers 407 mooring, prefering a high target, mega yachts and luxury style boats. There is a heliport for helicopters, 1300 parkings and a qualified staff for mooring and maintenance; thanks to a synergy with the Port Authority of La Spezia, there are more than 700 berths for boats smaller than 14 metres, on 13 floating docks, located outside the main pier. Being near Lerici, Porto Venere, Cinque Terre and Portofino, but also to the major islands of the Tyrrhenian Sea, makes La Spezia an ideal place for short trips to the most fascinating tourist destinations, such as Capri, the Amalfi Coast or the beautiful Porto Cervo in Sardinia.

Sur la Piazza Giulio Beverini vous pouvez visiter l'église Santa Maria Assunta qui est plutôt une abbaye qu’une église.

C’est certainement le plus ancien édifice religieux de la Spezia. Les reconstructions après les bombardements de la dernière guerre n’ont pas transformé son charme chrétien ni son architecture typique de la Ligurie. Divisée en nefs supportées par des colonnes et deux petites allées, la façade à rayures alternées de pierre grise et de plâtre jaune clair qui la caractérisent.

Similaire, soit pour l’époque que pour la structure, l'église Nostra Signora delle Neve se situe in Via Garibaldi, son style est plutôt byzantin et plus riches sont les matériaux intérieurs, par exemple la chaire, œuvre du Saint-Angiolo del Santo. Un large escalier conduit à l’église qui est divisée en trois nefs avec des plafonds à caissons.

Les façades sont décorées en rayures et le prothyrum du portail central est richement décoré. Une paire de faux clochers latéraux complète l'ensemble, alors que le véritable clocher se dresse à l’arrière du flanc droit donnant sur Via Napoli.

De Piazza Europe, en levant les yeux, annoncée par un grand parvis, s’élève l'imposante Cathédrale du Christo Re sur un emplacement surélevé et prisé. Sa structure circulaire la rend particulièrement unique, ses douze piliers intérieurs délimitent un promenoir qui englobe le hall central qui peut accueillir 2.500 personnes. Après concours, le vainqueur pour la construction de cette nouvelle cathédrale fut remporté par l’architecte Brenno Del Giudice en 1929.

Le projet fut abandonné jusqu'en 1956, à cette date il fut complètement modifié par l’architecte Adalberto Libera. Plus tard, lors de la mise en œuvre, l’architecte Cesare Galeazzi le révisa de nouveau en lui donnant son actuel aspect. Dans la crypte voûtée sont conservées les reliques de San Venerio, la tombe de la mystique Itala Mela et celles des premiers évêques du diocèse.

La Spezia est également connue pour son Musée d'Art Moderne et Contemporain (CAMeC), ancien siège du Palais de Justice, adapté à scénarios et atmosphères d’œuvres plus récentes. Situé sur la place Cesare Battisti, l’édifice s’élève sur plusieurs étages dont différentes salles accueillent régulièrement expositions et conférences.

Plus petit et discret et de tout autre nature, le musée Amedeo Lia qui se trouve sur Via Prione. L’origine du nom provient du collectionneur qui offrit à la structure un grand nombre d’œuvres allant de miniatures médiévales à une riche collection de peintures du XVIIe siècle.

Ancien castrum de la section intérieure de la ville, le château San Giorgio, construit sur la colline Poggio, avec ses remparts encore intacts, domine le centre urbain. Ses fortifications féodales lui conservent une allure mystique. San Giorgio est le monument le plus emblématique du passé de La Spezia. Sa tour, construite dans la partie plus élevée de la structure donne accès à une seule partie des fondations. En 1443, le château subit d’énormes travaux de restauration, une aile fut ajoutée à la partie inférieure pour recevoir les armes à feu. Par la suite, pour renforcer la défense, une forteresse fut ajoutée qui aujourd’hui a disparu bien que ses ruines demeurent dans la zone du campus universitaire derrière le château. Le château abrite également le musée archéologique Formentini (connu comme le Musée Château San Giorgio), lieu important en termes d'objets préhistoriques dont les mystérieuses statues stéle. Ubaldo Formentini donnera son nom au musée vu qu’il fut protagoniste de la vie culturelle de La Spezia en tant que directeur de la Bibliothèque et du Musée Civico de 1923 à 1958. Plus tard il devint promoteur de l'histoire et des coutumes du peuple de la Lunigiana. Pour les amateurs, le Musée Technique Naval de Viale Amendola garde à la mémoire l'art maritime d’une ville inextricablement liée à son Arsenal grâce à la collaboration du bureau historique de l'état-major de la Marine Militaire.

Le but de la structure est de maintenir en vie le culte des traditions de la Marine, en recueillant et promouvant les informations et les vestiges de sa gloire passée. Le Musée détient une collection d'amphores romaines, de maquettes de bateaux, des uniformes d'époque et d’objets précieux, comme par exemple l’Etoile Polaire de la figure de proue d’un navire, le MAS de Luigi Rizzo, le Grillo et bien d'autres encore afin de faire voyager dans le temps les visiteurs entre les reliques de guerre et les passions de l’homme pour la mer. Une nouvelle exposition illustre aux visiteurs l'évolution des navires et de l'art nautique au fil des temps. Le musée possède plus de 150 modèles de bateaux, des sous-marins aux torpilleurs, prototypes d'armes sousmarines et d’anciens modèles d'armes d'assaut.

Le véritable joyau de La Spezia est le nouveau port de plaisance, Porto Mirabello, mis en fonction en septembre 2010 après un énorme travail de construction des pontons. Il est placé dans la baie entre la rade de l’Arsenal Duca degli Abruzzies et le port mercantile. Il est construit sur une péninsule artificielle de 40.000 m2 dans des eaux qui couvrent une superficie de 270.000 m2.

Porto Mirabello s’insère parfaitement dans la baie sans altérer le paysage, sa structure de grand confort est équipée de pontons qui accueillent des embarcations de 100 mètres de long. Pour faciliter l’embarquement et le débarquement, des parkings voitures ont été prévus au pied des pontons. L'accès au port, ouvert 24heures sur 24, se trouve sur la partie Est protégée des vents du sud par la digue qui longe l'axe Est- Ouest.

Porto Mirabello dispose _de 407 places favorisant plutôt un target élevé de méga yachts et embarcations de luxe, _d’un héliport, _de 1300 places de parking privés, _d'un staff qualifié pour l'amarrage et l'entretien des embarcations. En synergie avec l'Autorité Portuaire de La Spezia, plus de 700 places bateaux de moins de 14 mètres ont été réalisées grâce à 13 pontons flottants situés en face de la jetée principale.

Porto Mirabello est devenu un point de départ idéal vers les proches destinations comme Lerici, Porto Venere, Cinque Terre, Portofino mais aussi vers d’autres destinations plus distantes comme Capri, la côte amalfitaine, Porto Cervo en Sardaigne et Sicile. S ehenswürdigkeiten In der Piazza Giulio Beverini ist es möglich, die Kirche Santa Maria Assunta zu besuchen, die eigentlich mehr an ein Kloster als an eine Kirche erinnert. Wahrscheinlich handelt es sich dabei um das älteste Kultgebäude von La Spezia. Obwohl es im Krieg bombardiert wurde und daraufhin renoviert werden musste, verliert es nichts von seinem christlichen Charme und der typisch ligurischen Architektur: in große Kirchenschiffe mit Kolonnen und zwei kleineren Gängen aufgeteilt, ist die äußere Abdeckung gewölbt mit gerippten grauen Stein auf hellgelben Putz, welches ihr das charakteristische Aussehen „in Streifen“ gibt. Ähnlich was das Alter und die Struktur betrifft ist die Kirche „Nostra Signora della Neve“ in der Via Garibaldi, byzantinischer als die letztere und mit Sicherheit reicher bei der Verwendung von Materialien im Innenraum im Allgemeinen und bei der Kanzel, das Werk des Heiligen Angiolo, aufgeteilt in drei Kirchenschiffe mit Kassettendecken. Auch diese sind mit abwechselnden Streifen dekoriert und sind durch eine breite Treppe zu erreichen.

Eines der drei Portale, das mittlere, hat ein reich verziertes Säulenportal. Ein Paar falsche seitlichen Glockentürme vervollständigen das ganze, während sich die wirkliche Glocke am Ende der rechten Seite, auf die Via Napoli, befindet. In der zentralen Piazza Europa, in einer bevorzugten Lage, befindet sich die imposante Kathedrale von Christus dem König, mit einer einzigartigen, runden Struktur, von einem großen Kirchhof geschützt, im Innern grenzen zwölf Säulen einen Rundgang ab, die die zentrale Halle umschließen, in der bis zu 2.500 Personen Platz haben. 1929 erbaut, gewann das Gebäude den Wettbewerb für den Bau der neuen Kathedrale, ihr Schöpfer war der Architekt Brenno Del Giudice, aber das Projekt wurde bis 1956 auf Eis gelegt, bis es dann von Adalberto Libera übernommen und vollständig verändert wurde. Bei der Umsetzung wurde das ursprüngliche Projekt Liberas teilweise von Cesare Galeazzi überarbeitet. In der Krypta werden manchmal die Reliquien von San Venerio gehütet, das Grab des Mystikers Itala Mela und der ersten Bischöfe der Diözese.

La Spezia ist auch für sein Museum der modernen und zeitgenössischen Kunst (cAMeC) im ehemaligen Justizpalast bekannt, der für die vieldiskutierten Kunstwerke unserer Zeit umgestaltet wurde. Das mehrstöckige Gebäude hat viele Räume, die für die Ausstellungen und Tagungen eingerichtet worden sind und zwei große Terrassen, auf denen nicht nur Kunstwerke bewundert, sondern auch die Stadt aus einer anderen Perspektive betrachtet werden kann. Das Museum beherbergt eine Sammlung des „Golf-Preises“ und die Cozzani und Battolini Sammlungen. Außer diesen können Sie Werke von Jacopo Benassi, Cinzio Cavallarin, Mauro Melis, Monica Michelotti, Ottonella Mocellin bewundern Nicola Pellegrini, Romano Rizzato und Diet Saylers unter vielen. diskreter und ganz anderer Natur ist das Museum Anedeo Lia in der Via Prione, das nach dem Sammler, der die meisten Kunstwerke zur Verfügung gestellt hat, benannt worden ist. Unter den ausgestellten Objekten befinden sich sowohl Miniaturen aus dem Mittelalter als auch eine reiche Sammlung an Malern aus dem 17. Jahrhundert.

Historisches Castrum des inneren Stadtteils ist das Castello San Giorgio. Seine gut erhaltenen Mauern erheben sich auf einer kleinen Erhöhung, die „Poggio“ genannt wird und die einen Hauch von feudaler Mystik verbreiten. San Giorgio ist das charakteristischste Denkmal der Vergangenheit von La Spezia: der Turm ist auf dem höchsten Teil der Struktur aufgebaut von dem man heute nur Zugang auf einen kleinen Teil der ehemaligen Fundamente hat. Im Jahre 1443 wurden im Schloss erhebliche Restaurierungsarbeiten vorgenommen, mit der Zugabe eines Flügels im unteren Teil des Schlosses, der für den Einsatz von Feuerwaffen benutzt wurde. Auch der Schutzwall wurde hinterher hinzugefügt, um die Verteidigung zu stärken. Leider ist es nicht mehr zu sehen, aber kürzlich sind die Ruinen hinter dem Schloss auf dem Universitätscampus wieder auf der Oberfläche aufgetaucht. Das Schloss beherbergt auch das archäologische Museum Formentini (sonst als Museum des Schlosses von St. George bekannt), ein Ort von unglaublicher Bedeutung in Bezug auf die prähistorische Artefakte, sowie die Heimat der mysteriösen Stele Statuen. Man erinnert sich an Ubaldo Formentini, nach dem es benannt ist, als Direktor der Bibliothek und des Museum zwischen 1923 und 1958, als Protagonist des kulturellen Lebens von La Spezia, und dann als maximaler Förderer der Geschichte und Bräuche der Menschen in Lunigiana. Für Fans des Genres gibt in der Viale Amendola das Technische Marinemuseum welches die Kunst der Seefahrtvergangenheit zeigt, und die Erinnerung an eine Stadt am Leben hält, die untrennbar mit ihrem Arsenal und mit der direkten Zusammenarbeit des "Historischen Amts des Generalstabs der Marine“ verbunden ist. Der Zweck der Struktur ist es, den Kult der Marinetradition lebendig zu erhalten, indem man Informationen der Spuren seiner glorreichen Vergangenheit sammelt und fördert. Durch eine Sammlung römischer Amphoren, Bootsmodellen, historischen Uniformen und wertvollen Artefakten, um

die es sich meistens handelt, unter anderem das Heck der „Stella Polare“, der MAS von Luigi Rizzo, der „Grillo“ und andere, in einer Zeitreise durch den Krieg und seine Erinnerungen und die Leidenschaft der Menschen für das Meer, das kein Alter hat, neigt die neue Ausstellung dazu, den Besuchern die Entwicklung der Schiffe und nautischer Kunst im Laufe der Jahre zu veranschaulichen bis hin zu unserer Zeit. Außerdem hat das Museum mehr als 150 Modelle von Booten, von U-Booten zu Torpedobooten , Prototypen von Unterwasserwaffen und alte Modelle von Angriffswaffen.

Aber das eigentliche Juwel La Spezias ist der innovative Hafen „Porto Mirabello“, im September 2010 nach massiven Sanierungsarbeiten und der Konstruktion der Anlegestellen eröffnet. Wir finden diesen in der Bucht zwischen dem Hafenbecken „Duca degli Abruzzi“ und dem Frachthafen, auf einer künstlichen Halbinsel von 40.000 Quadratmetern und einer Wasserfläche von 270.000 Quadratmetern gewachsen, die die Küste unverändert lässt und sie somit aufwertet und mit jedem Komfort ausstattet, mit Ergänzung von Anlegestellen für Boote bis zu 100 Meter und breiten Landungsdocks die sich als Parkplätze nahe des Anlegeplatzes nützlich machen. Der Eingang, ganztägig geöffnet, befindet sich auf der Ostseite, in der Nähe des Kais der sich entlang der West-Ost-Achse zum Schutz vor den Südwinden erstreckt. Der Hafen „Mirabello“ bietet 407 Liegeplätze, ein hohes Niveau bevorzugend, alle sind Megayachten und Luxus-Stilen gewidmet. Es gibt einen Hubschrauber-Landeplatz, 1300 Privatparkplätze und qualifiziertes Personal für die Andockung- und Wartung von Schiffen; in Zusammenarbeit mit der Hafenbehörde von La Spezia sind mehr als 700 Liegeplätze für Boote von weniger als 14 Metern konstruiert worden die sich auf 13 Schwimmdocks außerhalb des Hauptpiers befinden.

Die Nähe zu Orten wie Lerici, Porto Venere, Cinque Terre und Portofino, aber auch zu den wichtigsten Inseln des Tyrrhenischen Meeres, ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für kurze Kreuzfahrten zu den faszinierendsten touristischen Destinationen wie Capri, die Amalfiküste oder das schöne Porto Cervo in Sardinien.
