Welcome

to the Melbourne Disability Connection Expo 2025, sponsored by Blossom Community Care

This event has been created and shaped by people living with disability, for people living with disability. We hope you enjoy yourself, and make lasting connections and relationships that advance your disability journey.

Thank you for making the effort to attend this expo, we hope you find all the answers you’re seeking. To assist you with this, we have a dedicated Info Hub, sponsored by Provider Choice, where Participants and Providers can Ask a Guru, who are experienced experts, and get answers in real time. It’s a free service, so please take the opportunity to connect with these seasoned experts who can assist your NDIS journey.

Make sure you check out the Main Stage, sponsored by Envision Healthcare, where we have interactive performances every 30 minutes, you can get involved or enjoy the entertainment.

Whilst you’re doing that, and enjoying accessing information and forming new connections with providers, you can enjoy a free coffee or hot drink, thanks to Ambition Health Group!

This year we are delivering a huge series of Disability and NDIS-related events across Australia in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Perth. This will enable the 4.4 million Australians living with disability to access essential information, connect with service providers, and access important information.

Now is the time for people with lived experience to lead meaningful conversations, and for more collaborations to be forged between Advocacy Groups, Advocacy Leaders, Service Providers and political leaders. Together, they must work to implement solutions based on the recommendations.

We’re grateful for the support of leading Advocacy Group organisations, and we are also incredibly thankful to our amazing sponsors for helping to make this event an even bigger success.

The past few years have shown us just how important it is to have diverse ways to connect and stay connected. That’s why we’re partnering with incredible sponsors and building a strong nationwide network of Participants, Families, Carers, Service Providers, and Guardians. Together, we’re shaping a disability sector that we can all be proud of.

We invite you to enjoy yourself over the two days. As we always say, we don’t do halls, stalls and pamphlets alone. We understand that staying connected requires support and opportunities for the community to come together, share experiences, and build meaningful connections. Our Expos are community events held over two days and we make sure there is plenty to do, lots of space, seating, food, entertainment, and a great atmosphere so people can enjoy their time connecting.

This year, we’re highlighting our sponsors in innovative ways, from Specialist Hubs and

Partners to Recharge Zones, Chill Out Areas, and Activity Sponsors. A huge thank you to all the providers who have stepped up to support this incredible community event, your contribution is invaluable!

Over the past four years, we’ve been featured in hundreds of media segments across radio, TV, and print, helping to spotlight key issues and changes in the disability sector and NDIS space. As a recognised source of information, DAC is now regularly invited by the media to share insights and raise awareness on important topics every week.

If you have insights or solutions on the future of the NDIS and want to amplify your voice in the media, reach out to us to explore this opportunity.

For now, we would like you to enjoy your time at the expo, take in as much information as you can, and connect with as many providers and people who will support your journey.

On behalf of the entire DAC team, we hope that this is a moment in time that you’ll reflect on, that seriously progresses your disability journey.

Inclusive Living Support

Scope Australia

Lighting a Path to a Better Tomorrow

At Inclusive Living Support, we specialise in SIL support for NDIS participants to live with choice, dignity, and independence.

What we offer:

• Tailored support built around your goals

• 24/7 qualified support staff

• Skill building for greater independence

• Safe, inclusive, and comfortable accommodation

Whether you’re transitioning into independent living or seeking the right long-term support, we’re here to make the journey smoother. We believe everyone deserves a home where they feel safe, respected, and empowered.

Scope was founded in 1948 by families who wanted better support for their children with cerebral palsy.

Without a service provider who would take their children on, the families banded together to create a not-for-profit organisation that believed in the potential of every individual, regardless of the complexity of their disability.

By 2001, the organisation was officially named Scope. The name reflects the core belief of our founding families — that, with the right support, every person has scope to achieve their goals in life.

People are at the heart of everything we do at Scope. No matter what your hopes, goals and dreams are, our passionate team is here to help turn them into a reality. Through Scope, you can access a wide range of disability support services — from physical therapy and communication support, to accommodation and group programs.

Belief Disability Services isn’t just about services—it’s about connection. We’re here to listen, support, and walk with you, every step of the way.

Whether your goals are building skills, connecting with community, finding the right support workers, or enjoying independence, we help you navigate your NDIS plan and achieve them. Our approach is centered on you. We work with you, your family, and support network to create an individual plan that evolves with your needs. We’d love to get to know you. Reach out for a no-obligation chat—together we can build a partnership that puts you in control of your life.

Capital Investment Ideas

Why are NDIS investment properties the best investments?

» Great karma investment with unbeatable returns. Help people in need and help yourself and your family at the same time.

» Huge income from $160k expected to $220k per year. High immediate capital growth thanks to high income. 10 to 30 year leases.

» Rent paid by the government in legislation at least 20 years. Rent indexed to inflation.

» Bricks and mortar investments that historically double in value over 7 to 10 years.

Why is the Government paying $70k to $120k per room in an NDIS house? Because it saves the government around $14k per week = yearly savings of around $600k per year per participant. So, not only does the investor and the participant win so does the tax payer. For every $1 the government spends on NDIS the economy benefits $2.20 according to federal treasurer.

Megalines Insurance & Risk Advisers

We welcome Megalines Insurance & Risk Advisers as the Rest and Recharge Partner of the Melbourne Disability Connection Expo 2025.

Be covered … not just insured

Megalines Insurance & Risk Advisers is a privately owned Australian company that commenced trading in 2006. Over their organisation’s 19 years of industry experience, they have delivered more than 17,000 policies to their clients and have established themselves as one of Australia’s premier insurance providers. Their expert team cumulatively boasts over 70 years of experience in the industry and is made up of a number of highly skilled staff members. As a member of Steadfast Group, Australasia’s largest insurance broker network, Megalines have access to exceptional buying power and influence when negotiating with large insurers. As such, they can access customised insurance programs directly tailored to the needs of their clients.

In the many years of Megalines specialising in the Care and Disability Industry, they have gained a deep knowledge of the sector, including the current and ongoing legislative landscape. They adopt a risk-based and person-centred approach, which means they can provide you with the best, most relevant advice for your unique risk exposures. They are very much aware that for the disability sector, some of your services present higher risk exposures than others, which is why an off-the-shelf policy would not cater to your unique needs. Megaline’s clear understanding of your risk exposures positions them as the right provider for your insurance solutions. Their insurance and risk management approach has been developed to cater for the unique needs of the disability service sector - from sole traders through to large organisations. Megalines offers a wide range of flexible, tailored covers which are also highly competitively priced.

Life is full of risks and accidents, and mistakes do happen even with the best care and attention. Unfortunately, these can sometimes have legal, reputational, regulatory and/or financial ramifications. Insurance policies are put in place to

protect individuals and organisations against the adverse consequences of these risks. The disability Industry is a Special needs Industry, and for this reason, NDIS providers require special Insurance which are not readily available simply “over the counter”. Specialist and expert advice is required to ensure adequate coverage. Megalines Insurance stands as a committed partner, dedicated to fortifying the Care and Community sectors against a spectrum of potential challenges, ensuring that organisations within this industry continue to create meaningful and lasting positive impact in the lives of individuals and communities.
