asbestos, tobacco, chrome ore, tea, maize, clothing, hides, ground-nuts, lead, radios, etc. The principal market for Rhodesian exports is the United Kingdom, which takes over 48 per cent, followed by Western Germany, the Republic of South Africa, the United States, the Netherlands, India, Sweden, Italy, France, Australia, Japan, Belgium and the U.S.S.R. The main supplier of goods to Rhodesia is also the United Kingdom, with the Republic of South Africa second. At a considerable distance follow the United States, Western Germany, the Congo, the Netherlands, Australia, Canada, Iran and Sweden.

The chief export from Mozambique (apart from its large transit trade with South Africa and the Federation) is cotton, followed by sugar, cashew nuts, sisal, tea and vegetable oils. Most of these go to Portugal. Imports include textiles, coal (from the Republic of South Africa), railway material, machinery, iron and steel, motor cars, oil, grain, footwear and liquor.

“Margate. Seaside resort on the Natal South Coast, which has undergone spectacular growth since its foundation in 1930, until it is now one of the largest towns in Natal, with many hotels.
