Deirdre Pretorius

I am an Associate Professor at the University of Johannesburg in the Graphic Design Department. I currently lecture Design Studies on undergraduate level and supervise postgraduate students in the Honours Design, MA Design and PhD (Art and Design) programmes. As a design historian my research focus is on contemporary and historical graphic design and visual culture in South(ern) Africa. My creative practice over the last few years have revolved around creating artists' books.
