“Gannet or Malagas (family Sulidae). Semi-oceanic birds, much less bound to the shore than gulls, terns or cormorants. They feed by plunging headlong from a height on to fish swimming near the surface, and from a distance appear gleaming white. Are chief inhabitants of the Cape Guano Islands.
