On September 15th, Orange Vista High School’s Key Club had the honor of participating in Club Rush, which took place during the school’s lunch Club Rush gives all of the clubs at Orange Vista a chance to display what their club is about, and to hopefully help them recruit some new members At Club Rush, the officers were able to promote and introduce Key Club to a wide range of students By creating posters to attract and encourage students to learn more about the club, students slowly began to migrate towards the Key Club table By the end of the day, OV’s Key Club managed to get over 100 sign ups for the club, and even surpassed 130 people in their Google Classroom and Remind!!

On September 26, Orange Vista’s Key Club held an informational meeting to show students what Key Club is all about. At the meeting, the officers introduced a bunch of Key Components, including Fall Rally and Monthly DCMs. As a fun little icebreaker, students were able to toss around a beach ball to one another and converse with those around them The meeting was hosted to over 50 students, and by the end of the meeting, everyone had learned at least 1 new thing about Key Club

On September 19th, Orange Vista’s Key Club hosted a Dog Toy Making event where members came together to create dog toys out of old t shirts Instead of throwing out old t shirts, Key Club thought “Why not put them to good use?” Students watched tutorials and quickly got to work to create colorful dog toys of all shapes and sizes Not only were members able to get to know each other during the event, but they were also able to create something so simple that would hopefully cheer up animals in shelters that are patiently waiting to find their forever home! Once the event came to an ending, everyone combined made over 100 dog toys that would later be donated to local shelters.

On September 30th, Orange Vista’s Key Club participated in the Food Frenzy. At Food Frenzy, all of the organizations and clubs at our school can choose to sell a certain item to raise money. At the event, Key Club was selling Mango, Strawberry, and Coconut popsicles. With it being over 90 degrees outside, the stand was a huge success and students were lining up to get themself a popsicle. Officers Xitlali Franco and Francine Tran were one of the 5 who helped run the stand, and were promoting the event to all of their peers. Once the event was over, our club was almost sold out of the variety of popsicles we had!!

On Monday, September 12 after school Vista Murrieta Key Club hosted the very first meeting of the school year which around 75 people attended All the members that attended recited the Key Club Pledge and then the meeting started The board members were introduced then an icebreaker was held which was 2 truths and a lie We talked about the Division Council Meetings, Fall Rally South, Region Training Conference, Division T shirt Designs, and the key club chant Members in the club then bonded and got to know each other better

—FIRST MEETING / ERJE DELA CRUZ (VMHS)————

On Friday, September 2nd, a club rush occurred at Vista Murrieta where we had more than 100 signups. We advertised the club by elaborating on Key club events such as Fall Rally South, Division Council Meetings, Dcon, etc. We also elaborated on what Key club can offer to them and that it was a club that helps out the community and helps you meet other people in the community. We advertised by telling them that we collaborated with other schools in the district and outside of the district like Temescal Canyon, Temecula Valley, Murrieta Mesa, and so on

CLUB RUSH / ERJE DELA CRUZ (VMHS)—

This month of September, things started really ramping up! Great Oak Key Club began to meet for the first time this year and the turnout has only continued to be great! With the club reaching around 30 50 members per meeting, the room has been filled end to end with new members excited to partake in the club. During these meetings primarily presented by Jai Rajput along with help from Lauren Rhee, club members were informed about a variety of events such as purchasing dues for the club, T Shirts, free rice volunteer activities, color a smile, the quilt event, how to join the club remind for both the school and division, and information about the club socials, again within the school and the division itself Many students are already taking charge and giving it their all by participating in the free rice service event to rack up as many grains, and service hours, as they can!

After Club Rush at the end of August, Temecula Valley High School Key Club held its first meeting on September 22nd, 2022 It was a MAJOR success Our numbers doubled (maybe even tripled) and we began to plan for the upcoming meeting and service event on October 6th

As of now, we have a total of 96 members who filled out our enrollment sheet, of which 56 attended our first meeting We have increased our Instagram following by at least 50% and also have 115 people signed to our Remind class. We very recently sent out an attendance sheet for the Sep. 30 Oct. 1 Quilt Show event, and are expecting more signups for the first of October. Currently, we are preparing to introduce information about Fall Rally during our next meeting. We will also be holding our first in person event that day (writing letters to new staff) as well as starting our first online event of the year. We are anticipating rising numbers in participation as the year goes on.

In our 4th Key Club Meeting we made cards for nurses to appreciate what they do for us as well as breast cancer awareness posters As the month is ending and so is our charity run and Fall Rally is one step closer!

Key Club Rush was a success with the first appearance with our spirit mascot! Met potential new members and gave out a lollipop to those who came to stop by! CLUB RUSH | ILLASELL TAN (TCHS)

As a recurring service event liberty key club volunteered at our home water polo game on September 27th from 4 6 We had multiple different positions that members filled during the game We had a few members doing stats and others retrieving the water polo balls We also had many providing water to the team members during their breaks in order to ensure our team would be playing to the best of our abilities After the games, we stayed to help clean the bleachers and put away equipment Our key club members love volunteering at water polo events and want to do more in the future The coaches for the aquatics program here at liberty have offered key club volunteer opportunities for the rest of the school year Liberty key club is now guaranteed future service opportunities at swim events that our members will love

On the final day of September, several of our members and our president participated in the preparation of the Quilt Show Sadly, none of our officers could make it, but seven of our members ended up going This was very good as our announcement of this event was very last minute for some of our newer members

On Day 1 of the Quilt Show, our members reported having a lot of fun They said they learned how to tie knots with rope and stabilize the quilts around Old Town They say they got to interact with other members, which was nice, and also they enjoyed being able to help set up everything Although attendance rates were small, I’m positive more of our members will attend more events as we get deeper into the school year
