By: Alyssa Santos (Canyon) Members of Division 16 North Key Club gather to have a funfilled day, aimed at creating dog toys on a bright and sunny day. Meeting at Pioneer Park gives every school a chance to meet halfway to attend the eventful DCM. To start things off, our new division shirts, voted by the members themselves, have come in and are now on sale! The first batch has been given out and now people are ready to rock out in unicorn merchandise. During the DCM, new awards are given out, as well as new positions being introduced. Also, don’t forget about soulmate! What kind of DCM would it be without a couple rounds of soulmate? After all the updates and informative things are said, like the fundraiser for PTP on September 14 at Chipotle, it’s cheer time!

Splitting into two big groups, the newly introduced spirit committee brings our enthusiasm through the roof. Fall Rally doesn’t know what’s coming. Finally, this month’s service project begins. Thanks to all the people who brought shirts, everyone was able create colorful toys for the dogs in the pound. Varying from huge sizes to mini ones, a whole trash bag had been filled. Post dog toy making, members are free to enjoy the cool water being thrown at them during a water balloon fight, or can feel free to visit the ice cream truck that came at just the right time! To top it all off, pictures are taken and the September DCM has now come to an end.

VALENCIA CLUB RUSH DAY By: Skylar Cho 2017 Club Day at Valencia High school was by far the most successful thing we accomplished all month. All officers did an amazing job of preparing for this extremely important event. It took many officer meetings, a lot of art supplies, and great determination that made club day so successful. Our booth looked absolutely stunning and welcoming at the same time. We had candy for those who signed up, Nikki went full out and brought her spirit sticks, we went around with free hugs signs, it was crazy!! One thing we did differently this year which made our lives easier was having a google sign up forms on the computer for members so that they are already on the roster, and we automatically have all their information, which would make it easier to contact them. Although club day lasted for only two brunches, all the officers put a lot of thought and consideration into making our booth so great. Because of all of our hard work, dedication, and preparation we got a total of 131 sign ups! All officers were beyond thrilled and blessed for the large number of sign-ups because the more the members, more the work we can do for our community!!!

GOLDEN VALLEY CLUB RUSH DAY By: Franz Eugenio On the second week of school, Golden Valley High School hosted an event called CLORG Rush. In this event, many clubs were able to go set a table in the quad and show off their club. Clubs such as the Anime Club, American Red Cross, CSF, The Den, Circle of Friends, and much more attended. With so many people going around the Golden Valley Key Club attracted many new and existing students to sign up and join the club. We wanted to attract and persuade many students to join Key Club as much as possible and in order to do that, we needed a plan. Our plan throughout the event was to keep shouting “Join Key Club,” giving out candy and wave the spirit stick that was given to us by the previous Bulletin Editor, Jessica Legaspi. As a group, we kept on shouting many members to join the club. We had gone around campus in order to convince others to join our amazing club. Although we may have lost our voice, we gained so many new members that losing our voice wasn’t even a problem anymore. Overall we were able to attract many new members by proceeding with the plan that was organized by our board members.
