Dear Division 16 North, As all of you know, the reason behind the closure of all schools is the COVID-19. I wanted to take the time to make sure our members are safe. Please understand that since most Key Club activities and events are held outside, they are cancelled or postponed. At this point, everything that Samara and I have planned will be tentative unless we are given the news that everything is okay. Unfortunately, District Convention was cancelled and it was decided that my term is extended until April 1. My goal right now is to just make sure every member is safe. For safety, make sure to wash your hands frequently and stay inside! This is the time for you all to catch up on sleep, exercise, or find a new talent to keep you from boredom. I know how hard it is right now, especially for seniors, but we will get through this. I promise you it’ll get better after this. Be grateful that we have food to eat, a bed to sleep comfortably in, and a roof over our heads. Stay positive and everything will be just fine. Take care and I love you all. - Rachel Kim, Division 16 North Lieutenant Governor

helping out during the COVID-19 outbreak Little things to do that will help a lot: Avoid crowded areas! Stay at home to help prevent the spread of the virus. By simply staying at home, you will protect your family, friends, and community! It will also help out the nurses and doctors in hospitals with limited space. Don't hoard supplies. Buy what you need, leave some for others who need it as well. Masks are becoming super limited in hospitals because people were hoarding them, save some for the people who are fighting this directly! Wash your hands and take a shower when you come back from buying necessities to clean off any germs. Be there for your friends! Video call or text them to make sure they are doing okay. Stay informed and don't panic! The news often sensationalize infomation. Check reliable sources like who.int or cdc.gov for accurate information and updates on the COVID-19. Meditate, do yoga, or workout! When things become too suffocating, take a break and relax. Exercise to get your mind off things. Even though it's great to help out others, remember to take care of yourself too :)
