Hello Unicorns!

ltg

Wow. We finally reached at the end of the 2019-2020 term. I still can’t believe how time flew by so fast. It seemed like yesterday was the day of my election. To the officers this year: thank you for putting in your all and making sure that members are updated on events and making sure they volunteer and knowing what the purpose of Key Club is. Without you all this term wouldn’t be successful. I am proud of you all! To my DLT: I seriously wouldn’t have survived this term without each and every one of you. I want to go more in depth, but I’ll save it for the banquet because there’s so much I want to say for each and every one of you. Just know that I love you guys from the bottom of my heart. Lastly, the members: Thank you to those who took the time and came to club meetings, DCMs, region events, and district events like Fall Rally. Also, supporting fundraisers! I hope you all had fun and learned a lot. If you’re an underclassmen please do your best and attend as much events as possible! Not only will you get to make so many friends, but you learn so much and a lot of opportunities come. If you’re a graduating senior, congratulations and best of luck to you all!

I have so much more to say but that’s going to be saved for the banquet. It was a pleasure and a honor serving you as your Division 16 North Lieutenant Governor for the 2019-2020 term. Thank you.

In Service, Rachel Kim 4

Meet West Ranch's New President: On February 11, West Ranch Key Club elected its new officers for the upcoming 20202021 term. Let’s welcome President Rachel Gim, followed by Vice President Isabella Buenaventura, Secretaries Rebecca Lee and Imane Baber, and Treasurer Maria Ogdoc! We are so very excited about what holds in the future of West Ranch Key Club! 8

Message from Rachel Gim: I’m Rachel Gim and am the president of Key Club at West Ranch High School. Here’s a little bit about me: I am currently a junior, and love to play music in my free time. In my past Key Club experience, I have always loved to perform for senior citizens throughout Santa Clarita. It has always brought me joy just to see them smile at a tune of music.

Rachel Gim! by Chika Ma, West Ranch Bulletin Editor

Now, I am so excited to contribute to our loving community of Santa Clarita even more. I can’t wait to not only bring West Ranch Key Club closer together as one, but also hope to help more people realize the beneficial effects that they can create with just a simple task. I’m looking forward to raising our members’ passion about helping others even more, and can’t wait for this next year ahead of us! 9

A Typical Day with Key Club by Angelica Rios, Arleta Bulletin Editor In Key Club at Arleta High School, we hold our meetings at our school library; for the reason that, it has enough room so that more members or potential members can join us. To begin our meeting, we all stand and recite the key club international motto, while raising our right hand. After, our respected Key Club President, Darinka Garcia, greets the members, she begins to state and explain the new events we have coming up. Our president then thoroughly portrays the requirements for each event, such as committing to being at an event if you signed up or giving a heads up to any of the Key Club officers that you can not make the event, 24 hours prior to it, etc. ue to the fact that we love and appreciate our members, our Chair of Recognition,

Estrella Santamaria, creates a certificate to give the memberAnalogously, our officers keep their eyes out for certain Key Club members who we believe have been an outstanding member. We show our appreciation towards them by awarding these members as “Member of the Month. Our officers and sponsor here at Arleta High are truly enthusiastic about helping out the community and we also see so much passion in many others who join us. Key Club allows us to express our passion and do much more beyond simply helping our community. The officers and sponsor here at Arleta do their best to make Key Club an experience our members will never forget; on those grounds, it impacts many people in so many ways.
