With the assistance of existing U17 coaches, Playmaker qualified U17 players, and ably supported by parent volunteer Emma, our first open training session was a resounding success with 22 girls of varying experience and ability coming along to see what Catterick Village could offer in terms of coaching, football training, friendship and most of all, fun!

With some absences due to holidays we were pleased to see so many girls return for the second session and embrace a challenging circuit of exercises designed to improve ball control, that would culminate in a shot at goal and encouragement to celebrate as if they had just scored the winner for the Lionesses in the World Cup Final! Some of the girls were definitely more enthusiastic than others!"

A brand new badge has been designed for the Roses, incorporating a yellow rose to signify "friendship" and will be proudly displayed on all teamwear, and club communications

Our free training sessions for the girls will continue throughout the Summer and, subject to numbers, we will take a decision whether to register a girls team to a league for the very first time. For further information about the Roses or Squad Girls please email: roses@cat t erickvillagejfc net
