OPS 2018 Theme – Creating the Future REMINDER – School is closed for instruction on Tuesday due to the YEARwill 4 –be 8 TRIATHLON Teachers Strike. There no staff on site on Tuesday. February is national Bike Month. We here at OPS have been training for our annual triathlon.
HAERE MAI WELCOME To Caleb who has started school and is in Room 2 and to Khan who has joined Room 5. THANKS To the fantastic Y7/8 fundraising parents for the effort you put this year into raising over $12,000 for the Wellington Camp.
WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEK
Last week the OPS Marimba group performed at Our Place alongside musicians from other local schools. Thanks to Mrs. Townsend and Mrs. Woody for coordinating and teaching our group – this has required several weekend and after school workshops and they sounded awesome!!!
New Classroom Project Update The BOT are working very hard behind the scenes to progress the building of our three new classrooms. At this stage the detailed drawings will be ready to go into the council for building consent application in December. Once we have some updated drawings we will share these with you – they are going to be awesome teaching spaces for our senior classes.
