Cambridge Primary Mathematics and Cambridge Primary Science Supplementary Activity Books There are 15 brand-new additions which build on the ethos of the highly successful Cambridge Primary Maths and Cambridge Primary Science series. • Three Mathematics Starters Activity Books per subject for the Early Years/Key Stage 1 transition to help children prepare and acquire the skills they will need as they start Mathematics at primary school. • Six Skills Builder Activity Books per subject for grades 1 to 6, which provide extra support and teaching for children tackling difficult Mathematics concepts. • Six Mathematics Challenge Activity Books per subject for grades 1 to 6, which are designed to stretch high-ability learners and deepen their understanding of key Maths concepts. • Six Science Skills Builder Activity Books for grades 1 to 6, which are designed to give further practice for key aspects of scientific practice, with a focus on Science comprehension and literacy. • Six Science Challenge Activity Books for grades 1 to 6, which include activities designed to stretch high-ability learners and engrain key scientific behaviour. • The books are designed for ESL students, with carefully selected and straightforward language. These Activity Books fit perfectly into the existing series. The Starters provide ‘entry-level’ teaching for children just starting their Maths education.
We are working with Cambridge International Examinations towards endorsement of the Skills Builder and Challenge Activity Books Teaching hints and reminders are provided, so children can learn key points before tackling each set of activities.
The Challenge and Skills Builder Activity Books provide a considerable range of differentiated activities to ensure effective teaching and learning for all children at both ends of the ability scale. They also work as stand-alone activity books, providing opportunities for both home and school learning of key Maths and Science concepts. 1A Number and Problem Solving Remember:
