INTRODUCTION ABOUT CTC AVIATION We are a global airline pilot training and resourcing company, providing innovative solutions in partnership with our customers. AIRLINE PILOT CAREER PROGRAMME Virgin Atlantic is one of the world’s most iconic airlines and has partnered with CTC Aviation to deliver innovative solutions for airline pilot training. This CTC WINGS Multi-crew Pilot Licence (MPL) airline pilot career programme – ‘Virgin Atlantic Future Flyers’ – is at the leading edge of airline pilot training innovation. Selected and mentored by Virgin Atlantic from day one, you will embark upon a unique Route of training that will take you to the role of First Officer on Airbus A330 aircraft, flying long-haul routes across the globe. Throughout your training, you will join fellow trainee airline pilots to experience the skies in spectacular parts of the world as never before; as well as sharing adventures and making new friends that will last a lifetime.

The Core flying phase of the MPL syllabus is designed from the outset to build the Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes (KSAs) that are the cornerstones of an airline safety culture and differentiate it from traditional single pilot flight training offered on other courses. Training is airline focused and competency-based from day one. Flying the EFIS C172, you’ll learn the fundamentals of visual flying, basic and procedural instrument flying and night flying, and conduct Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) on a high performance piston engine aircraft APPROXIMATELY 22 WEEKS

Long-Haul Line Flying with Virgin Atlantic

Experiencing a multi-pilot environment for the first time, we introduce you to the A320 and jet operations for your instrument flight training using Virgin Atlantic’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Type-technical ground school utilises advanced CBT and Virtual Flight Deck (VFD) technology. We develop your advanced handling skills on our motion A320 simulators utilising a more complete version of the Virgin Atlantic’s SOPs. LOFT covers more complex scenarios, TEM training is further developed and you will complete the intermediate phase with advanced UPRT

The Advanced Phase in MPL is akin to type rating training. Virgin Atlantic’s full airline SOPs are incorporated and you will learn to handle more complex system failures and emergencies in readiness for your Licence Skills Test (LST)

Initial Operating Experience (IOE) and Line Check. You will also complete Safety, Emergency and Procedures training.

The funding required for the complete CTC WINGS MPL in partnership with Virgin Atlantic is £109,000. This comprises a Security Bond for that amount (paid in a series of instalments)

Successful completion of our world-renowned CTC WINGS selection process is key to our continued placement success. It also unlocks our unique and unrivaled ‘Performance Protection’ which includes:

� EASA Initial Licence issue fee

EXCLUDED ITEMS

� ATPL ground examinations and flight skills tests (and any retesting) including aircraft and UK CAA fees

� be at least 18 years of age by 1st June 2017

� Your application will be screened by a member of the CTC Aviation selection team

� hold a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) Grade C or above, including maths, science and English language*

� Complete the online application form and click ‘submit’

� be fluent in English (verbal and written)**

� You will receive an auto-response to acknowledge receipt of your application

� produce a current CRC (Criminal Record Check) basic disclosure certificate before training can commence � minimum height 157cm, maximum height 191cm

NB. PPL holders may apply providing they have not attempted any EASA ATPL Theoretical Knowledge examinations

� be able to obtain an EASA Class 1 medical without restrictions *see naric.org.uk for international academic comparisons ** For non-native English speakers, you will be required to present a certificate prior to training commencement demonstrating you have achieved International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Level 5.5 overall, with no less than 5.5 in any individual area (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. (This must be the Academic test, not General Training).
