FINANCE and Funding

CTC Aviation is committed to bringing talent to the flight deck and enabling people to pursue their airline pilot career aspirations. We appreciate that raising the required funds for airline pilot training can be a hurdle. With this in mind we have developed funding solutions with simple instalment schedules that will help you to achieve your desired career progression through the training route that suits you best. This Info Guide covers the funding required for the following programmes:

CTC WINGS ‘TRAINING SPONSORSHIP’

CTC WINGS

Airline Placement Limited (APL), a wholly-owned subsidiary company of CTC Aviation will provide ‘Training Sponsorship’ for the Basic and Intermediate phases (excluding the initial Foundation Element of the Basic phase). In some instances an Airline Partner may apply additional enhancements to the existing Training Sponsorship.

Funding required

CTC WINGS ‘Training Sponsorship’ from CTC Aviation represents a significant investment and, to mitigate the risk to APL (the sponsor), you will be required to deposit a ‘Training Security Bond’ of £69,000 (see ‘Funding Required’) which will be held by APL. Please note: This is not payment for training.

CTC WINGS ‘Training Sponsorship’ – Items excluded:

This comprises two elements; the training Security Bond required to secure your Training Sponsorship and the Foundation Fee which covers the early phase of flight training. The training security bond element is normally repaid to the newly qualified pilot over a period of 7-9 years once fully employed by the Airline Partner*. *Terms vary depending on the Airline Partner. and contract

CTC WINGS ‘Training Sponsorship’ – Items included:

Please visit our website for details of funding options currently available through a number of banks. However, you may choose to raise the funds through alternative lenders to suit your personal circumstances should you need, and wish to do so.

The total funding required for the CTC WINGS Integrated ATPL ‘whitetail’ Route is £93,800.

Security Bond:

£69,000 payable in 13 instalments (detailed to right).

Basic Phase:

Foundation element £24,800* (including applicable sales taxes). Payment is required approximately 2 months prior to commencement of flight training in either NZ or the USA.

Upon completion of Intermediate training and placement with an Airline Partner, it may be required that a contribution is made by you towards Type Rating and Base/Line training costs. Full terms and conditions will be made available at the time an offer of placement is made.

In addition to the funding required for your chosen CTC WINGS Route, the total funding required for the BSc Hons Degree option is £27,000 (2015-16), payable directly to Middlesex University.

BSc (Hons) DEGREE OPTION

� UK CAA regulatory fees (initial and any retests) for ground examinations and flight skills tests (CPL and IR)

Over the three year period £14,500 will be refunded to the trainee by CTC Aviation (to offset the flight training funding requirements). Selecting to integrate this degree into your training unlocks potential access to financial support from Student Finance England to cover the cost of the course, and ‘maintenance’ loans. This may be used to fund part of your CTC WINGS programme or living costs.* Example CTC WINGS Integrated ATPL

CTC TAKEOFF PROFESSIONAL PILOT TRAINING COURSES

CTC TAKEOFF Integrated CPL/IR – additional fees:

CTC TAKEOFF provides integrated and flexible, modular alternatives to our CTC WINGS airline pilot career programmes. Full details can be found in the relevant Route Guides and on our website ctcaviation.com/ctctakeoff.

• Assessment fee of £295* • Loss of medical, life and personal property insurances • Travel insurances required by the NZ, UK or USA immigration services

For newly qualified and licensed commercial pilots, achieving that first airline pilot role can be challenging and needs careful preparation and support. CTC ATP gives you access to an incredible range of First Officer opportunities. Applicants will be invited to attend a selection day and enrol upon one of our world-renowned Airline Qualification Courses (AQC), suited to your previous flying experience. The funding required for AQC is £9360 (including VAT and self-catered accommodation for the duration of training). The funding required for shorter AQC routes will be at a reduced price, according to the training programme on which you enrol.

• English language test where applicable CTC TAKEOFF Integrated CPL/IR Our CTC TAKEOFF Integrated CPL/IR Route is a self-funded, professional pilot training course designed to enable aspiring pilots from around the world to benefit from the high standard and enviable reputation of CTC Aviation. The fee for this course is £89,900 (including VAT). Subject to achieving the required standards and meeting specific airline entry criteria, graduates of this Route may be eligible to join our airline placement pool and have the opportunity to benefit from our unrivalled Airline Partner graduate placement record. Those meeting the required standard on completion of training will be put forward for First Officer placement opportunities with one of CTC Aviation’s Airline Partners. CTC ATP Performance Protection provides reassurance that should you not achieve CTC Aviation’s airline placement standard despite having completed the AQC, CTC Aviation will refund 30% of the training fee.* Additional Costs: • Selection Fee - £295** • English language tests where applicable • UK CAA licence issue fees • Cost of additional training (when required) • Subsistence and travel costs to and from Crew Training Centres • Licence and medical conversion or renewal costs • Insurances to protect life, finance, personal property and training expenses • Uniform items (as required) *** • Some of our Airline Partners may require a contribution towards Type Rating and Base/Line training costs. Full terms and conditions will be made available at the time an offer of placement is made. *Terms and conditions apply **This fee is waived for CTC TAKEOFF graduates. ***CTC Aviation will provide CTC Aviation epaulettes and tie/scarf for CTC ATP trainees during the type rating phase of training where required. Other uniform items can be bought through CTC Aviation if required.
