TRAINING RESOURCING SIMULATION 2015 sees CTC Aviation celebrating 25 years of delivering high quality, innovative global pilot training and resourcing solutions to major airlines and aspiring pilots around the world. As we hit our 25 year milestone, we are embarking on the next, most exciting chapter in our history. On 28th May we announced that we had been acquired by L-3 Communications; further expanding L-3’s commercial aviation training portfolio which includes L-3 Link UK - a provider of world-class flight training simulation devices, aftermarket solutions and training services. Both CTC Aviation and L-3 Link UK will retain our individual brands and strengths as independent operational entities, while continuing to focus on and serve all our existing customers and markets. GLOBAL GATHERING HOSTED BY CTC AVIATION

CTC Aviation’s 19th Airline Pilot Training and Resource Management forum brought together key representatives from operators as far afield as New Zealand and Antarctica. Hosted by CTC Aviation, the event – which is by invitation only - attracted Directors and Heads of Training and Resourcing from airlines including Air New Zealand, Air Seychelles, Cathay Pacific, Dragonair, Emirates, Indigo, Jetstar and Wizz Air, as well as those closer to home such as Aurigny, British Airways, BA Cityflyer, easyJet, Flybe, Jet2.com, Monarch, Thomas Cook, Thompson Airways and Virgin Atlantic. Operators such as Air Tanker, the British Antarctic Survey, Cobham Special Mission and the RAF (UK) also contributed to a full day of round-table discussion on topical issues and challenges. committed to excellence

The Airbus came on line in March of this year and is currently providing type rating and type conversion training for British Airways trainee and qualified pilots. The Boeing achieved Level-D certification with the UKCAA in July 2015. Norwegian Air Shuttle We are delighted to announce that the Norwegian Group will be our launch dry lease customer for the Boeing. A new five-year B737-800W usage agreement will support Norwegian’s expanding training requirements for the airline’s UK and Spanish-based crews up to 2020. We are delighted to announce that CTC Aviation has been exclusively selected by BA CityFlyer to provide Direct Entry Pilot selection services.

Providing EXCLUSIVE airline pilot selection services to BA CityFlyer Significantly, this is the first time that the airline has outsourced their selection of First Officers to an independent service provider. The exclusive agreement will see our dedicated airline resourcing team provide selection services to support the airline’s Flight Operations team in the task of recruiting the highest calibre direct entry pilots. Those applicants who emerge successfully through the selection process will join British Airways CityFlyer as an Embraer 170/190B First Officer. Based at the airline’s main base at London City Airport, the new crew members will be serving a mixture of business and leisure destinations throughout Europe. Furthermore, 1,800 graduates of our flagship CTC WINGS Integrated ATPL airline pilot career programme have had a flying-start as easyJet co-pilots, with many now flying with the airline as Captains and working in the airline’s management teams. In 2012 we launched the CTC WINGS MPL airline pilot career programme in partnership with easyJet. This bespoke Multi-crew Pilot Licence (MPL) syllabus focuses on relevant multi-crew operations tailored to the specific requirements of easyJet operations using the airline’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The inaugural intake saw 24 successful applicants progress through training with CTC Aviation and into employment as easyJet co-pilots on the Airbus A320. Our most recent MPL enrolment was 36 trainees and more will follow in the near future.
