Background of the project 2005 The first contact between our organization and the Cruyff Foundation.

2009 A partnership between the Sports Secretary of the City of S達o Paulo, the Dutch Consulate, Plataforma Brasil Holanda and Instituto Plataforma Brasil was created.

2010, April A visit of the Cruyff Foundation delegates.

2010, November Opening of the first Cruyff Court of the Americas.

Background of the neighborhood Ermelino Matarazzo is a densely populated neighborhood with about 250.000 inhabitants of which 45.000 live in slums (favelas).

Close to the Cruyff Court the stadium that will host the opening and semi-final of the World Cup 2014 is being constructed.

In the project -

An average of 300 children participate each month by KNVB World Coaches Methodology.

About a 1.000 different children and adolescents participated in the first year.

About 300 adults playing soccer at the court in the evenings and weekend.

Indirect audience, such as family members, are estimated at around 1200 persons.

In total about 2.500 people make use of Cruyff Court.
