‘F@KE NEWS’ not this time! 8 pupils from Year 7 were congratulated and had their talents celebrated at the Bexley Children's Literacy Awards, held in the Civic Offices, Bexleyheath, with the Mayor of Bexley in attendance. Hurstmere were the runners up in the competition with their 'Fake News' broadcast which made the audience applaud and laugh at their efforts. A trophy and official photograph will be displayed shortly in the foyer. The pupils to commend are: Harry Kane (who also spoke at the event), Oliver Wilkin, Ethan Buchanan, Ted Dargavel, Kamron Holmes-Lewis, Ellis Daly, Jack Corbyn and Louie Lynch. The broadcast can be viewed online and is definitely worth 3 minutes of your time:
