The event was held at King’s College London and the boys worked as part of a team, along with two girls from Bexleyheath Academy, to build a robot. The robot was built and programmed to follow a black line by means of a light sensor, a sound sensor enabled it to be switched on and off by clapping and a touch sensor ensured it turned around if it bumped into an obstacle. The team worked extremely hard and produced an excellent presentation demonstrating the ‘i-robot’ and we are very pleased to announce that they secured third place out of the fourteen schools that took part in the final round.
