This Week

A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew

‘Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life. Do not worry about what you will eat or drink; or about your body and what you will wear. Is there not more to life than food, and more to your body than clothes?

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?’

Reflection

Welcome back, everyone, to a new school year. It is always a little daunting starting a new school year. We have many different emotions: excited, worried and perhaps many others But we are reminded in our reading not to worry God has your back, He sees you and He loves you. Learn this week to listen to God’s voice to hear those words of affirmation: you can do this.

Prayer

Lord, bring peace and calm to the storms that I may face this week or this year Help me to listen to your words of affirmation and of love. Help me this year to be my best and to know that you have me in the palm of your hands. I make this prayer through Christ our Lord.

Amen

“May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be.”
