815JANUARY 2024 3 JULY 2023 JANUARY 2024 Message from the Headmaster

The January assessments allow our pupils to review their progress and familiarise themselves with revision and exam techniques that will aid them in the future. I was impressed with the diligence and focus which the pupils showed throughout this week. Alongside their assessments, the pupils have shown their enthusiasm and commitment to the extracurricular programme with sports training, music ensembles, clubs and rehearsals for the Senior Production all underway.

We were privileged to have a visiting speaker, Mr Bradshawe from KPMG, to share his experience with the Royal Marines Association before taking up a position in cybersecurity. The boys were riveted as he explained the impact of cyber-attacks and specifically, ransomware attacks on leading organisations and private individuals online. It was a great opportunity for the pupils to link their studies with the modern world of IT and appreciate the pathways available to them as they look towards careers in the future. We are delighted that Mr Bradshawe will be returning for another visit during Safer Internet Day in February.

Mr Everitt
