13 3 JULY 2023 2023 13 NOVEMBER NOVEMBER 2023 Message from the Headmaster

We enjoyed an action-packed Saturday with the Henkes Shield taking part on the Henderson Fields in the morning. The annual event was passionately contested with some exceptional Cranmore performances which were cheered on by supporters. At the conclusion of a highly entertaining final U13 fixture, pupils, parents and staff were able to celebrate the retention of the trophy for another year. Well done to everyone who took part and supported the event.

After we had recovered from the excitement of the morning, it was a delight to see so many families at the CPA Cranmore Fireworks that evening. It was a spectacular sold-out event where nearly a thousand people from our Trust community came together to enjoy each other’s company, watch a fabulous display and take in some refreshment. It was thoroughly enjoyable to see the interaction of children from across different age groups playing together. My sincere thanks to the CPA for organising such a welcoming and entertaining event. During the week, Year 10 pupils saw the Quantum Theatre’s performance of A Christmas Carol. The Dickens novel forms part of their GCSE English curriculum and the performance, in the auditorium, brought the text vividly to life. In Computing, our students recently had the opportunity to take part in the Bebras Challenge competition against pupils from across the globe. Next term, they are excited about the prospect of taking part in the Oxford University Computing Challenge.
