16 OCTOBER 2023 3 JULY 2023 6 NOVEMBER 2023 Message from the Headmaster A warm welcome back to everyone for the second half of term. On Wednesday, it was a privilege to host the IAPS District meeting at Cranmore. Among our guests were thirty of the leading Heads from across the region. They were tremendously impressed with the school, the tours given by Senior pupils and the hospitality shown throughout the morning. Our Remembrance assembly and activities today were an opportunity for our community to pause ahead of the commemorative anniversary this weekend. We had time to reflect on all those individuals and families who have been impacted by past and present conflicts. Pupils at Cranmore have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of sports and on Wednesday, Year 10 pupils took part in the first water polo fixture with St Teresa’s. Our Senior cross-country runners participated in the regional qualifiers and although the weather conditions were challenging our pupils performed excellently. Looking ahead to this weekend, on Saturday morning the Henkes Shield is taking place at Cranmore, which promises to be another competitive event. The competition has now been running for over 40 years and I am sure the Cranmore players will be as eager as ever to retain the trophy. I am also looking forward to seeing many of you at the CPA Fireworks on Saturday evening. I know that the CPA has once again invested a huge amount of resources to making this another enjoyable event for our community and I am grateful to all of the volunteers helping to make the evening a success.

Mr Everitt
