85 JANUARY 2024 3 JULY 2023 FEBRUARY 2024 Message from the Headmaster
We celebrated Mental Health Week with a range of activities including lunchtime runs, assemblies and most importantly, break time hot chocolate! It also coincided with Safer Internet Day with a guest lecture on cybersecurity. In assemblies, we highlighted the importance of a healthy body and healthy mind through talks on nutrition which were supported by our wonderful school catering company, Harrisons. We have many exciting trips and excursions planned over the coming year to enrich our pupils’ education. I am delighted that pupils will have the opportunity to travel abroad to ski in Italy, to hone their language skills in France, or to research tectonic activity and physical landscapes in Sicily. A little closer to home, I am delighted that we have had to charter a second 55ft yacht at the end of the summer term for Mr. Savvides’ sailing adventure to Lymington and Beaulieu due to the popularity of this exciting trip. We are proud of the wide range of extracurricular activities we offer to ensure that our pupils have a well-rounded education both inside and outside of the classroom. Special congratulations to our U15 1st football team who overcame less than ideal weather conditions on Thursday and won a place in the Final of the ISFA National Bowl competition, which is a first in our school’s history. I wish everyone a restful half-term break.
Mr Everitt
