11 DECEMBER 3 JULY 20232023 Message from the Head of Prep

As the first term draws to a close, it offers the opportunity to pause and reflect. The children will have their own highlights, from the various trips, visitors, workshops, music events, sporting fixtures and, of course, lessons. For some, it might well be this final week when they embraced a challenge and found the chance to shine.

This week our assemblies have celebrated the many achievements of the children. The Lower Prep Cups and Awards were presented on Monday, and Friday saw more celebrations with House Cups, Certificates and Headmaster’s Commendations.

After the heart-warming performances of the Nativity by children across the EYFS to Year 2, it was the turn this week of the Upper Prep and Senior pupils to join together for our Christmas Carol Services. As is the case for the Nativities, a huge amount of work goes on behind scenes to create these two very special evenings so a huge thank you to everyone involved for their contributions.

Today we gathered as a school community to share a delicious Christmas lunch and enjoy the spectacle of some eye-catching Christmas jumpers. We extend our warmest wishes for a happy and holy festive period with prayers for peace on earth and goodwill to all.

Mr Heaver
