9 OCTOBER 2023 3 JULY 2023 Message from the Head of Prep We enjoyed a wonderful start to Monday morning with our African Drumming assembly and workshops. Our celebrations of Black History Month continued with some inspiring House Assemblies and the week was bookended with another special event when we were able to join an online session with the children’s author Atinuke. The glorious October weather continued to shine upon us for the start of the week and the playing fields looked resplendent as we played host to teams from Rokeby, Broomwood and Parkside, enjoying success across various age groups. Even though the weather looks like it might be turning, the sports fixtures continue in earnest and it has been very encouraging to see those representing Cranmore being magnanimous in victory and gracious in defeat. I would particularly like to congratulate our U11 ski team who finished 2nd and 3rd in the ESSKIA national finals in Norwich last weekend. This morning we were able to gather as a community to celebrate a special Harvest Mass where our thoughts and prayers turned not only to those in need in our area but also to those caught up in the conflict in the Middle East. Thanks must go out for the generous donations that were made for the LeatherHEAD START charity and for the fundraising efforts going into next week’s Action Day. Good luck to all involved with your rehearsals and final preparations!
