29 JANUARY 2024 3 JULY 2023 Message from the Head of Prep
Well done to those involved with last weekend’s Murray Cup success. The attitude and performance of our pupils was very impressive. Another busy week of sport has seen lots of rugby fixtures played, including matches against KCS Wimbledon, Shrewsbury House and Donhead. Our Under 10s enjoyed their basketball games against RGS Prep.
Pre-Nursery, Nursery, Reception and Year 1 enjoyed the visit of parents and carers this afternoon. It has been wonderful to see each of the year groups exploring this term’s topics, which include ‘As Cold as Ice’ in Reception and Africa in Year 2.
Congratulations to everyone in Tylor and Morton for their successes in raising the House trophies. The excitement is building in Upper Prep House meetings as they prepare to contest the House Music Competition.
We marked National Story Telling Week with assemblies on the joy that sharing a story can bring and the importance of developing our imaginations so that we can immerse ourselves in fictional realms. It is amazing how great writers are able to bring their stories to life and plans are already in place for some author visits after halfterm along with an array of other activities to celebrate our Book Week.
Finally, good luck to all of those involved with the Dunckley Shield this weekend.
Mr Heaver
