27 NOVEMBER 3 JULY 2023 2023 Message from the Head of Prep

This weekend marks the start of Advent and preparations are already well underway for our Nativity performances and Carol Services. Pre-Nursery got into the spirit of things by dressing up in Christmas costumes and Year 2 made Christingles. Although it might be hard to imagine playing summer sports when the weather is so cold, we were delighted to be chosen as one of the top 50 prep schools in the country for cricket by the Cricketer Magazine’s Good Schools Guide.

It was very encouraging to see some of Upper Prep throwing themselves into this year’s Primary Maths Challenge and we look forward to discovering who has qualified for the Bonus Round in February. The Anti-Bullying theatre show and workshops that took place this week were well-received. Thank you to Mr O’Neill and all those involved with arranging these events. Well done to Morton for lifting the House Cup in both the Lower and Upper Prep. Can another House do the double before the end of term?

Yesterday marked Saint Andrew’s Day and we celebrated with a special Mass which was Father Stephen’s last with us as our parish priest. From all of the Cranmore School community, we thank him for his five years of dedicated service.

Mr Heaver
