On Saturday, they headed to Thorpe Lakes Aqua Park, where they bounced, slid, and splashed their way through a thrilling inflatable obstacle course. The sunny weather made the cool water even more inviting, and everyone enjoyed the perfect mix of adventure and fun

On Sunday, the relaxation continued with a visit to King George V Hall Park With plenty of space to unwind have fun on the playground or simply chat on a picnic blanket with d soak up more sunshine. brought smiles all around, but also helped eminder of how valuable shared

VALUES WEEK

This year ’ s Values Week has been a tremendous success, filled with creativity, enthusiasm, and a true celebration of our shared values The 2025 theme – Community – inspired a packed schedule of activities that brought plenty of excitement and enjoyment to the school.

The girls took part in a variety of events, including arts and crafts, competitions, breakeoke (our unique mix of break-time and karaoke), busking, The Year 7 Floreat Project and so much more The sunshine added to the lively atmosphere, making the week even more memorable

It was wonderful to see the girls enjoying themselves so wholeheartedly and embracing the spirit of community. Values Week remains a much-loved tradition, shining a spotlight on the positivity and talent within our school.

BRONZE DofE

“Last weekend, on the 14th of June, I set off with many other Year 9 girls doing their First DofE practice walk We met in the village of Cranleigh, at ten a m , and I was met with the sight of a kaleidoscope of colours with our massive bags, with everyone frantically stuffing snacks and sleeping bags into side pockets or struggling to lift these enormous weights onto their backs.

Once everyone had arrived, we were free to set off on our adventures, only to meet again if our paths crossed as we ventured through the Surrey Hills or if we successfully arrived at the camp site. And indeed, the camp site that evening was full of life, the smells and sounds of everyone cooking their dinners, whether as a group or individually, wafting through the air. Once we woke up on the morning of Sunday the 15th, we were in for a day of getting lost in forests and eating homemade lunches on the sides of muddy paths

Eventually, all the groups made it to the finish line in a secluded car park near Guildford, and we were safely transported back home by our parents with all our heavy equipment, as well as sore and tired bones.”

T FEST

Another fantastic T Fest – St Teresa’s very own summer music festival! There was a brilliant mix of musical genres on display this year The Prep girls delighted us with family film favourites, and Cranmore’s wind band gave a truly impressive performance. The ice cream van was, as always, a popular treat, and it was lovely to see so many enjoying the music in the evening sunshine.

EVENSONG

We enjoyed a wonderful Evensong last night, welcoming members of the local community and our alumnae for a delicious afternoon tea and cakes, made by our Year 10s and Mrs Linaker. This was followed by a beautiful service in the Chapel. It was the perfect way to make the most of the sunny weather and share a special evening together.

SUMMER CAKES

Year 9 have been getting into the some delicious cupcakes in their Nutrition lessons this week. A re on a sweet note!

HIGHER EDUCATION

Students enjoyed an engaging Higher Education Day, beginning with a talk from the University of Surrey about the UCAS process and university life The session offered helpful advice on applications and what to expect beyond school.

Later, four former students returned to share their experiences since leaving St Teresa’s, speaking about university, career choices and working life Their stories offered valuable insight into the many opportunities that lie ahead.

Reading

A Reading from the Book of Proverbs

The Wisdom of God cries aloud:

The Lord created me when his purpose first unfolded, before the oldest of his works

From everlasting I was firmly set, from the beginning, before earth came into being

The deep was not, when I was born, there were no springs to gush with water

Before the mountains were settled, before the hills, I came to birth; before he made the earth, the countryside, or the first grains of the world’s dust.

When he fixed the heavens firm, I was there, when he drew a ring on the surface of the deep.

Reflection

Our value for this year across the Trust is Community. To be Unified, to live in unity with one another is so very important God of course is perfect Unity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit and we too bare the image of God. We were made for unity and find our happiness when we are unified one with another. Our Christian journey is therefore a journey towards Unity Unity to God and Unity to one another In a world that seems ever more fractured by war, let us be people of Unity Prayer

Lord Jesus, who prayed that we might all be one, we pray to you for the unity of Christians, according to your will, according to your means

May your Spirit enable us to experience the suffering caused by division, to see our sin and to hope beyond all hope Amen Amen.

"The ultimate test of your greatness is the way you treat every human being " ~ Pope John Paul II
