The Extended Curriculum Programme (ECP) is for prospective South African Clothing and Textile Technology students who meet the minimum admission requirements, but may fall short on the admission point score (APS) for the mainstream programme.

WHAT YOU NEED
Minimum Admission Requirements: Diploma
National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) with:
• English (4)
• Mathematics (3) or Technical Mathematics (5) or Mathematical Literacy (4)
National Certificate
• Mathematics, N4 (50%)
• Clothing Production, N4 (60%)
National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4
• English (5)
• Mathematical Literacy (5) or Mathematics (3)
The department utilises an Academic Point Score (APS) as selection criteria once your minimum admission requirements are satisfied. You also have to score a minimum of 26 with Mathematics, and 28 with Mathematical Literacy on the APS.
Students are required to go through an online selection test after meeting admission requirements.
